Great video...really like your brim helmet. I've not seen one of those before.

Yeah it was something I found online and helps tremendously in those wide-open spaces.

Good job on these Cowboy Trail videos, I road this route about 2 weeks before you in the other direction and stopped at many of the same places to take a break, was riding BRAN 39 so didn't have to carry my gear. I live in Nebraska now but lived in Rapid City 8 years when in the USAF so your whole trip was fun to watch. Take care, be safe and keep the camera rolling!

Ha ha we live in Norfolk, we're thinking of doing the trail this year. I giggled when you tried to say the park name... it's Ta Ha zoo Ka 😁 Love your video

Thank you for watching and pronouncing it correctly :) You should check it out. I heard they are supposed to be compacting the surface to make it more enjoyable.

I laughed also...I use to date a girl from Norfolk and have done 7 Cities Century before. :) Also lived in Rapid City and been too Angostura Reservoir....he had a little trouble with that one. :)

Was that an RV campground at Norfolk?

Hi, nice video. I would like to do this trail with my family. How do you setup camping in the park? is there someone you need to ask in advance or when you are there? Also, how did the road-touring bikes do on the trail? i assume not all of it is paved. cheers
    Thanks

Thanks for watching! Most if not all of the camping was free or had a place to pay via cash and an envelope. No reservations were needed. Only the very first couple of miles and some parts in bigger cities were paved. Most of it is crushed rock and the bikes did fine, but it was pretty soft and much slower than the road.

I am thinking about getting a Trek 520 next. How has your friend’s bike held up so far?

Everything has been working great so far. It has everything I was looking for in a touring bike and more. So many options to mount accessories and bags to customize as you would like. No regrets on buying the 520.

I am thinking of doing that trail! Can you let me know the make of the rack you have on the front of your bike? Would really like to get that rack!

Thanks for watching! The rack is from Arkel it's called the AC lowrider. Probably one of the best front racks I have used. It is infinitely adjustable.
