Ryan, I rode 63 miles on the cowboy trail today. Thank you for doing a good job representing my home state. Dana and Xantha’s love and commitment to each other makes me as a husband want to be be the best I can be!
i live in a hilly community and a good friend with multiple health issues got an ebike a few month ago. he goes everwhere on it and feels like a kid again. i see him all the time in town with a big smile on his face. for peole who don't have the physical capacity for a traditional bike it is a great choice. anything but a damn car...
An e-bike is precisely what got me back into biking in general! It was my gateway drug to a Priority 600x and RAGBRAI 2024! The e-bike + Duzer in fact.
E-bikes..........bringing your friend out to ride with you, bringing your Mom out to ride with you..........what's not to love!! Beautiful shot of the bridges!
I know what it must be like for Ali. I’ve had many holidays with my family and after just 2 weeks things get a little tense. Meeting new people who don’t know you at all is awesome.
100% agree with your take on electric bikes. I know many people who are out there riding who otherwise wouldn't be. One took an e-bike riding mountains in France with her husband. She couldn't get up them without it whereas he could, and it enabled her and her husband to have a wonderful active holiday together. And even if you're using it as a motor bike - how much more awesome is it to use an e-bike than a car?
Ok, so at 9:35 what exactly is Ali eating? Hahaha. The quick flip from frog to bite makes you wonder. Haha.ok maybe just me, but I did find it funny. Great scenery! Thanks for sharing.
Slick edit, not only visuals but audio too. At 09:37 I thought you guys ran out of food and started to eat the toads! What a lovely trail without traffic. Those bridges are amazing. Thanks for sharing your experiences 👏🏻
Thanks for supporting EBikes. I have one lung I brought an Electric bike. It allows me to exercise so my breathing is better every day. Nothing like a 7 mile ride to town for coffee and a nice 7 mile ride home.
There's an older lady in my neighborhood that rides ebikes. It good to see her out and "aboot" on her ebike. She said it's better than being inactive. The ebike helps her take advantage of our short summer.
You have the best friends. I have watched the amazing, generous things you do as a group for your community. The friends you choose says a lot about you.
That trail makes me want to go to America just for it ! (that and the huge shoulders, roads are way narrow in Europe so it's a lot more stressful to ride them) Episode was real touching, hope the mic gets better though :/
I binged watched your entire trip so far in one day. Had a hard time turning it off. You and Ali are a great team and seemed to have uncovered some magic. Impressive to see how soon Ali went from uncomfortable on camera to being so good and professional in such a short time. Drone footage is such a difference maker. Thanks for the content!
alkalinesingle I think he's just jokingly referring to the old game show that I can't remember the name of...the contestants would go "no whammies, no whammies...!!"
Thanks for giving Ebikes a plug. I built my first Ebike 5 years ago and now the rebuild is in progress. The goal of this rebuild is add 100 lbs of cargo to the bike and still go 15 miles per hour with battery range of over 100 miles and recharge time of 1 hour. This puts cross country touring in reach of the average cyclist.
E-bikes are wonderful for a whole list off reasons. Older people, people with health problems, commuting sweat free and further, cargo bikes .... But i love my mtb and can't wait to get a gravel bike
What a neat portrait of friendships. It made me miss my own from home. I like Dana's concept of saying... today I choose you! So we can imitate her and say - today I choose to watch Ryan's video. Yup! Today's that day! Go Xanthe ! We love your e-bike!!
That bridge was amazing as was whatever else I saw in this video of the Cowboy Trail. Ryan, shhh, don't tell anyone else about this trail until I can ride it with as few people as you guys encountered unlike the Creeper trail in VA that I rode a few weeks ago.
The drone shots over that bridge were spectacular!! Loved it!! What music was playing in the background? I love it and could listen to that all day!! Thanks for all your videos- top notch to say the least!!
I've got the impression that the heavens sent Ali to you, Ryan. So do the best you can do to make her happy. Always be honest to her - and to yourself. Ali should always be your top priority. This motto enabled me to be in heaven with my wife since 30 years. :D
I watch the whole thing! What can I say Ryan... You keep my interest level high because of the soothing and relaxing content you present. I can't say I love Nebraska but I certainly felt like it was nice to be there in your video. The electric bike is definitely a great concept and I agree with you. Certainly when I feel I don't have my regular bicycling powers with age I will gladly get an e-bike, but I've been considering getting one anyway just to increase the number of miles I can cover in a day's ride. I love riding anyway so if I've already spent the time to go out to the mountains or somewhere distant, wouldn't it be cool to incorporate more miles that I would otherwise not be able to do! It's nice to see that these two ladies could be united on a bike ride that they may not have ever considered doing otherwise. I wonder if they will continue doing bike rides together because of the ePower?
biketothetop dana and Xanthe have been riding all summer and loving it. Now I’m gonna get an ebike for my mom! Thanks for your comment and watching our journey.
Great video wow! what a blessing to make great memories with friends.I'm viewing this because I have two wonderful friends that are doing the cowboy trail 2020 continue to enjoy cycling love live mother earth.
I love yr frens and you are all so positive n it really inspired me to change and choose to be present and show ppl our feelings. Heart on the sleeve.. ❤️
E-bikes have taken Germany by storm. Almost everyone over 65 has and uses one from shopping to going to the theatre, to afternoon strolls, weekend B&B trips, or full fledged bike tours along the Danube or across Europe. I know couples where he, a heart patient with half a lung rides alongside his wife, and young mothers towing two kids and groceries up a hill. It's awesome. And while they used to cost EUR 2500 and way up the discounters now sell passable bikes for EUR 800, meaning commuting by e-bike costs less than your average public transport monthly card.
Oh boy, I love this Cowboy trail! It would be awesome to have more of them across the world! South Africa is slowly but surely warming up to it as we have a premier in Parliament, Mr. Allen Windy that is an avid cyclist and activist for sustainable traveling by bicycle. We have some great touring routes established already...🤩👌
I have been riding my bike for five years since I lost my car and I actually feel a bit free because it I recently got a Electric bike and yeah it's definitely great rather you have the fitness or not, it makes commuting better for me, I'd highly recommended it to anyone to have one
I see Ali tried that e-bike too - I wonder whether she liked it :). I've done several bicycle trips with my wife and kids, and the thought of suggesting an e-bike to those on the team who are struggling to keep up hasn't occurred to me - this is definitely something to consider!
Another great video. Thank you. Ryan, great that you are for e-bikes. I’ve watched some UA-cam videos on what they can do. Amazing! Some day I think I will have one. Recently I bought my first gravel bike and have been loving it. Just the ability to open up the riding terrane is justification enough.
Cowboy trail is one of the trails I do want to go that's on my list and I also have a Jetson bolt pro E bike and that I do like to have an electric mountain bike.
Couldn't agree more with your ebike comments. Anybody who wonders why just needs to see Xanthe matching Dana stroke for stroke. Ebikes bring people together.
(Obviously, I don't even know Dana & Xanthe.....but I absolutely admire them through your video stories!) Your videos have tremendous power & influence. Cheers.
Another beautiful video Ryan and Ali. Wow what a bridge and trail that is! Also great to see your friends having such a good time with you. Hey Xanthe I have an ebike, too and love it. It got me riding a bike again and now I actually ride my non-ebike more also.
there is a saying by Robert Edison Fulton Jr. that goes like this...Listen to the past, it leads to the future...consider the future, it becomes the past...live the present, to achieve a happy past. You and Ali are truly living in the present and will achieve one hell of a happy past. LOL
I have never been on a electric bike but I'm hoping one day soon I can do a test drive I am planning on going to Yreka California how to use a electric bike
Ok you need to watch Cobra Kai if you are not already into it. Thanks for confirming this trail on the other video post. Not sure if you did the JWPT or CPT trails in Washington but they are amazing. We have made it to Glacier. Will see where this year takes us. We dont have gravel bikes but we do have the best in MTB has to offer.
Love seeing Dana again, and now her partner Xanthe. The spark and the steady flame. I have always wanted to hike the Nebraska Sandhills north to south and the Loup Rover. Now Ryan and Ali dangle the Cowboy Trail to my cycling interest. I love e-bikes in urban settings but feel strongly that do not belong on non-motorized mountain trails. Just as I know at 65 there will be a time that I can no longer hike or backpack into my beloved wilderness and roadless areas, there will be a time that others are going to no longer ride tens of miles of trails and make it back out. That said, in my local national forest alone, there are an additional 700 miles of motorized ATV trail that would be cool for an e_bike. Best of both worlds. The added weight of dead battery and motor ballast could make that even tougher. BTW I have really been inspired by Ryans blogs on living car free, especially in winter. I have a restored 1984 Trek Single Track that is rigged up for a Wyoming urban winter. It will be complete once I add the trailer next month.
you have an 84 single track?? That's a sweet ol bike! Dana and Xanthe are the absolute best, glad that my youtube community is getting a chance to meet them! Put the cowboy trail on your list, It's a beautiful, safe and pretty easy ride.
Awesome trip , I really enjoy in every video for you aspecailly the videos together Ali , fianaly l wish to buy a new bicycle in future , I can't afford to buy bike now .
I agree about ebikes. Right now if it wasn't for my ebike I wouldn't be able to ride as much. My health isn't as good as it once was but with the ebike I can still get out there and ride.
Hope you love meeting my dear friends Dana and Xanthe...and that bridge on the cowboy trail, wow!!! We’re about halfway across the USA!
Dana and xanthe are the sisters every one needs
I wanted to cry. Their love is amazing 🥰🥰🥰
Ryan, I rode 63 miles on the cowboy trail today. Thank you for doing a good job representing my home state. Dana and Xantha’s love and commitment to each other makes me as a husband want to be be the best I can be!
That is awesome! SO glad to hear that you got to ride that trail, I really enjoyed it! And yes, Dana and Xanthe's love is very inspiring. Happy trails
Haha, 15:36 looks like you caught the toad for Ali to eat. You guys are great and the trail looks amazing 🖖
I know, haha, I didn't realize that when I edited it :) whoops
13:23 the shutter speed syncs with the wheel and appears stationary. Cool.
just noticed that, very cool
i live in a hilly community and a good friend with multiple health issues got an ebike a few month ago. he goes everwhere on it and feels like a kid again. i see him all the time in town with a big smile on his face. for peole who don't have the physical capacity for a traditional bike it is a great choice. anything but a damn car...
Good for your friend! E bikes open so many opportunities.
You need to make a map of the trip all the small towns just make the luvtrail worth it nothing like small-town USA
Working on it...We'll post it soon
An e-bike is precisely what got me back into biking in general! It was my gateway drug to a Priority 600x and RAGBRAI 2024! The e-bike + Duzer in fact.
Love this so much!! Happy trails
I have two moms in their late fifties, early sixties, and they are a lot like these ladies. :)
i watched this EPI now i want to watch the whole EPI for my weekends restday.
10 min such a mature take on how to value love. I feel the same from my family's woes and my partner
This video makes me want to go to Nebraska to ride my bike
moosefactory133 its a sweet place to ride!
Nice job Ryan! As a native Nebraskan you made the Sandhills look so beautiful!
They are beautiful and such a nice surprise
E-bikes..........bringing your friend out to ride with you, bringing your Mom out to ride with you..........what's not to love!!
Beautiful shot of the bridges!
E bikes rock!
I know what it must be like for Ali. I’ve had many holidays with my family and after just 2 weeks things get a little tense. Meeting new people who don’t know you at all is awesome.

Michael P ha!! Good catch, didn’t mean it to look that way. She’s eating pumpkin pie!
@@duzer i know its not the frog, but was funny. You should have her watch it and see if she catches it. Have a great day.
Those are great drone shots.
Slick edit, not only visuals but audio too. At 09:37 I thought you guys ran out of food and started to eat the toads! What a lovely trail without traffic. Those bridges are amazing.
Thanks for sharing your experiences 👏🏻
hahahahaha
I’m so happy to hear what Xanthe had to say.
Beautiful countryside. That bridge is amazing. Yay Dana! Love seeing her in your videos.
Dana and Xanthe- what a couple. If only all relationships could be like their's!
I agree, they're so sweet, a model relationship for sure
I loved hearing their sweet love story. How inspiring!
They are incredible!
Thanks for supporting EBikes. I have one lung I brought an Electric bike. It allows me to exercise so my breathing is better every day. Nothing like a 7 mile ride to town for coffee and a nice 7 mile ride home.
Thanks for e-bike plug! I'm 58 and back to riding with bum hip on my radrover. If not for e-bike I would be in recliner instead of now able to tour!
You know it! I love Ebikes, just got one for my mom! check out this video I made, ua-cam.com/video/I2n1XiJWM1g/v-deo.html
I love the realness and compassion for the bike life...
BIke life is the best life!
You guys look so happy! Thanks for sharing, so beautiful
We are!
There's an older lady in my neighborhood that rides ebikes. It good to see her out and "aboot" on her ebike. She said it's better than being inactive. The ebike helps her take advantage of our short summer.
Awesome to hear that she is oot and aboot :) haha! Ebikes are pretty cool
You have the best friends. I have watched the amazing, generous things you do as a group for your community. The friends you choose says a lot about you.
Those two ladies are MY role models as well, and WOW, they are beautiful together, just like you too Ryan and Ali!
They are incredible human beings!
That trail makes me want to go to America just for it ! (that and the huge shoulders, roads are way narrow in Europe so it's a lot more stressful to ride them)
Episode was real touching, hope the mic gets better though :/
Daniel Wilhelm its a beautiful trail, and so nice to ride without cars driving by all day.
Thanks for the privilege of to know this amazing places!!! Even though I can't live in there
Thanks for watching!
You guys are so absolutely awesome. A true inspiration to us all. Thank you thank you thank you.
Thanks RObert! I really appreciate it, stay tuned for more, should have another episode ready sunday morning
You two are the happiest and most positive human beings I’ve ever seen. Keep on keeping. Cheers!
OH yeah, best way across!
eric moss I agree!
BTW Ryan, as a cyclist I have suffered from crashies, flatties but what is a whammy?
alkalinesingle I think he's just jokingly referring to the old game show that I can't remember the name of...the contestants would go "no whammies, no whammies...!!"
You are correct! That game show was called Press your luck! ua-cam.com/video/fnTbO26u9bQ/v-deo.html
Thanks for watching, we totally appreciate it! Stay tuned for more and happy trails!
Dana’s advice is so great. I learned.
Thanks for giving Ebikes a plug. I built my first Ebike 5 years ago and now the rebuild is in progress. Wow! Sounds like you have a sweet rig, do you go grocery shopping with that bad boy?
I must ride that trail! Thank you for showing me. I never wanted to go to Nebraska before, but now I must! haha Love Cycles exposes flyover country!
Mary @H2OsEdge it’s such a great trail!! 200+ miles of beauty
Mary @H2OsEdge if you canoe, Valentine is also one of the top ten places for canoeing
Should look up Toadstool Park! It's one of the coolest terrains in Nebraska.
Mobility is freedom ( body And soul), and whatever enhancing that freedom is great, and so electric bikes are great!
Lovely episode guys 💙
Well said!
Valentine is so underrated.
we loved it!
E-bikes are wonderful for a whole list off reasons. Older people, people with health problems, commuting sweat free and further, cargo bikes ....
But i love my mtb and can't wait to get a gravel bike
True you are, can't argue with that.
so inspiring
This is my dream!! I think about it Day in and day out. You guys are a huge inspiration
DO it!!!!

Thanks Jason! Appreciate it!

We didn't see anyone out there, it was like our own private trail, and I bet it'll stay like that for awhile
The drone shots over that bridge were spectacular!! Loved it!! What music was playing in the background? I love it and could listen to that all day!!
Thanks for all your videos- top notch to say the least!!
The videos keep getting better and better
Thanks Stephen!
Riding the cowboy trail has to be an awesome experience well I would give to ride something like that especially with it being all open
It's beautiful
I've got the impression that the heavens sent Ali to you, Ryan. So do the best you can do to make her happy. Always be honest to her - and to yourself. Ali should always be your top priority. This motto enabled me to be in heaven with my wife since 30 years. :D
Great advice my friend! and congrats on 30 years of love, that's inspiring!
and one of the things I like the most are the small villages you are passing by... ♥ it gives a different angle of the US
I'm glad that you are getting to see the US in a new light, it was fascinating for me too!

The cowboy trail is really fun! Hope your friends have fun doing it!
the master of drone shots!
:) Droning and biking...it's a very niche skill
Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: ‘What! You too? I thought I was the only one.
Love this one too!
Thanks for the 200 mile trip info. Love the videos. Buying a bike soon to enjoy the trails and do some touring. Thank you.
I've been binge-watching this series, and I just can't take it any longer... I have to subscribe! Much love, brother.
Ryan Weber I hope you do subscribe! I make tons of fun content
I love yr frens and you are all so positive n it really inspired me to change and choose to be present and show ppl our feelings. Heart on the sleeve.. ❤️
Awwww, this is so great! Heart on sleeve, always! Hugs from Boulder
God those Rails to Trails are amazing and you had 200 miles of it that must be epic
Rails to Trails are the BEST! You'll see more of them as we go through the midwest

Awesome Brett! I feel much freer on a bike too
@@duzer right man you look Free, and it looks like you an Ali & friends are having the time of you lives, I hope I can be that lever Soon😀

;)
Nice! MIckelson looks beautiful, totally have to do that one soon!
Dang it, Dana! I’m not crying, you’re crying.
I see Ali tried that e-bike too - I wonder whether she liked it :).
I've done several bicycle trips with my wife and kids, and the thought of suggesting an e-bike to those on the team who are struggling to keep up hasn't occurred to me - this is definitely something to consider!
ebikes are the great equalizer! Everyone can bike together, no matter the ability level. LOve em
E bikes are awesome, I got one for my mom and she is soooooo happy
Love this documentary, love you two. So inspiring, especially your attitude.
amazing sightseeings!

Thomas Snow exactly! And they’ve been riding all summer together
You didn't show anything of Valentine. 😣 I so much miss that town and the people.
sorry buddy, we were in a out of there...I'll need to go back and give it a proper moment on camera
(Obviously, I don't even know Dana & Xanthe.....but I absolutely admire them through your video stories!) Your videos have tremendous power & influence. Cheers.
They are two of the greatest humans on the planet!
Another beautiful video Ryan and Ali. Wow what a bridge and trail that is! Also great to see your friends having such a good time with you. Hey Xanthe I have an ebike, too and love it. It got me riding a bike again and now I actually ride my non-ebike more also.
That bridge is INCREDIBLE!!! Never seen anything like it before. Awesome that you also have an ebike, I'm getting one for my mom now!
You are so lucky enjoy every pedal stroke for me it would be a dream come true good for you

Thanks for showing the trail. Looks really dry. Where do you obtain water?
the little towns have water!
Big shout-out to you for supporting ebikes! They are putting people on bikes again that would have never found their way to traditional bikes.
Here Here! I'm gonna get one for my mom now.
Lovely scenic route. Like so many you have shared. Pity that Trumpland is out of bounds for me. When you elect his replacement I will visit.
Been binge watching your awesome videos
