This has gotta be the most epic slideshow i've ever seen in my entire life
I like this very much.
The color saturation choices throughout the piece seem well thought out, and I like what was done with the use of light to increase the contrast and focus as the story progresses.
The score is great... it sets the mood of each scene well, and really tells the story that the visuals set up. The tension and release cycle in the music has a nice flow and kept me engaged during the whole film. The long shot of the wall going to the mountains (at 5:33 or so) is good example of a bit that kept me hooked. The lone plant defiantly standing in the bright sun against the stark sky (10:36) is another.
I loved the little "behind the scenes" coda at the end.
Overall, this makes me feel the way a good blues song does: a little sad, a little wistful, a little hopeful, and a little determined to keep plugging away at life. Very well done, to everyone involved.
The songs, footage, and color grading are all gorgeous. Can't imagine how much work you put into this video. Excellent work man!
I came here straight from your "Why make music when nobody cares?" video (which I also liked a lot) - this is just fantastic! You never have to question why you should release music again! If it resonates only with one person, it was already worth it - but this seems to resonate with so many of us! Congratulations on the quality of the project and on the music. I wish a million views and as many likes for this video.
Thanks for sharing that with us Cameron - Watching this was definitely the high point of my day. A superb piece of audio-visual art!
Incredible color work, both in the visual and with the harmony.
It's interesting how this serves to render the border wall as a fact and not a political concept.
The whole piece is like a more hopeful Ghosts from NIN. What a lovely thing you've created here.
So powerful, so skilful - off my chair. The ear, the eye, and above all - the heart and soul, am stunned. Thank you, grumpy cat impersonator from a grumpy granddad.
Thankyou to you and Benn Jordan for bringing this beautiful thing into existence.
I really enjoyed taking the time to watch this 😊
Hi Cameron & Benn, I just want to say thank you for sharing your art, you & Benn have created an amazing film, it's definitely something you both should be very proud of, I love the images, music & atmosphere, an engaging & inspiring piece of art that's very well done 👍
Best 19 minutes of my day, best 19 minutes of my week, why bother to eat - if you can hear and see this beautiful work of heart felt art, the real rot and decay of America, the loneliness of everyone's reality, Venus and Ben - two of You Tube's greatest, on a journey of dust and Devils. I'm just a drop of water falling, ever falling into the sea, and not even that great of a drop, a putrid drop of unachieved expectations, and the sea engulfs all of reality, can I swim long enough to finish all the records I started in 1984? I paused, I worked for everyone else, around the world again and again, getting farther away from my goals....my drop gets smaller - the sea becomes larger, dreams crashed on an ocean of rocks in the desert, I lay just a pile of broken bones, broken thoughts, unrealised potentials that rot in the blinding clarity of the sun......
The music is incredible, while the visuals invoke memories of when my wife and I visited the southern parts of Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona. I miss those trips
That first shot of “there with you once in a dream” could totally be on an album cover of a band that is from the Midwest reviving late 90’s Emo!❤️
Having spent 25 former years of my life, lived in New Mexico, I recognize quite a lot of the landscapes (even beyond the White Sands footage). It always looks so beautiful on camera, or soundtracked... even though living there always felt like anything but, that.
Great work, both visually and sonically.
Came here after watching "Why make music nobody cares about?" The visuals and music complement each other really well. Loving the synth and string selection throughout. It's compelling all the way around. Thanks for caring about the art and doing what you do.
So, having watched the 'what's the f*cking point video immediately before this, I was anxious to see what you had made. The first four chapters were suitably abstract and detached, but 'somewhere within that stale infinity' was definitely a shift in gears and hinted that this might be heading in a particular direction. And 'an end yet to come' did not disappoint; over those two chapters the video achieved a cohesiveness you don't expect to see in the absence of a narrative and with such minimal raw visual material. I think that, in the end, your music and Benn's visuals perfectly complemented each other. This is the best 20 minutes I have spent on UA-cam in a very long time. I will share, thank you.
ive always enjoyed your music but this is on another level!
world class record, keep up the amazing work
This took me out of my tiny apartment in a German city and transported me to places which I feel like want to tell me something. But they're still letting me guess what it is. Thank you for the work and effort you put into this! This was incredibly touching ❤🌵
Hey Cameron, I have no idea if you'll read this or not but just felt compelled to let you know that this movie has given me such a special boost to finish my own Album.
The shot @0:56 where you show the old bank which closed in 1904! Well this is the name of my album, one which I've been working on for a very very long time!!
As i'm in the process of getting the last few tracks finished on it now, this shot gave me goosebumps when I saw it come up!
Thank you for continually inspiring us creatives with your content.
I nominate this as the best soundtrack for an independent video made by my two favorite music-making, music-educating, YouTubing, mind-expanding, creativity-sharing, and soul-sharing artists I have come to appreciate and enjoy. May all others who appreciate what you share be blessed by your presence for a really long time.
To make things clear, I commented to you both with the same comment.
It is astonishing to see how 2 guys take some Thelma & Louise-like road trip and pleasure us with two completely different accounts of said roadtrip. As I follow both and "now" how both of you are opposites in many ways, I will not compare both videos. Albeit I must say both videos touched me in different ways and the experience watching your different videos enrichened me in multiple ways,
So thank your Cameron & Benn for not only coming back in one piece but also, and mostly, for sharing your experience in a compelling and immersive way.
After listening to it twice, "It All Bleeds Apart" is my favorite piece in the collection.

New series, 2 producers 1 road trip?
But seriously, great work here. I love how different yours and Benn's feel. His felt desolate and abandoned, whereas yours has more of an oppressive and dystopian feel. (Though perhaps that has been greatly helped along by the place Terminator 2 has in my subconscious and your use of similar synth bases).
That is, as they say in these parts, "gert lush". Congratulations to both of you - it's a lovely, wonderfully atmospheric piece of work, both visually and aurally.
Agreed with the consensus that the color work is absolutely beautiful. And the music is phenomenal! Some of those shots are emblazoned on my mind. The whole film reminds me of Koyannisqatsi. Very well done man! I love it!
17:25 I'm just sittin here enjoying the video and suddenly, "Hey, that's Salt Lake International!" 😂 They threw that airport together in the few years I was living in India, the first time I saw it was when we moved back to Utah from India in December of 2020. When I moved to India, I left from the "vintage" airport we used to have here, and it was a bit of a shock seeing an airport that nice in a little town like Salt Lake haha.
Great video, and beautiful music!
I found this video and it's soundtrack made me feel, like I had stumbled upon a very real interlude in my own life. Beautiful work - thank you Cameron and team.
I really enjoyed it. 'It Bleeds Apart' gave me some old-school modern warfare vibes and even brought some nostalgia.
I walked the st.james (from France to Spain/Santiago de Compostela) like half a year ago. It been something so beatifull that nothing came close since. Now Im at a low point of sorts constantly thinking about the beauty of traveling back then and what I'm missing now. (Now I drink and drive sometimes and have panicattacks).
While I cant really grasp the vibe of this video now it gives me a feeling of a new horizon. Thanks❤
The visuals and music are both absolutely stunning! Very cool trip you guys did and glad it inspired you to some greatness :)
Just, wow. If I was a museum curator, this would be in permanent display. Beautiful work all around, the ending brought me to tears.
Great contrast between the bright imagery and the rather dark ambient music. That swing mirroring itself in the water was my personal highlight.
Beautiful video Cameron, the desert shots are just stunning, love the bleach bypass look combined with your score. A very enjoyable 20mins 😊
Cameron, don't fool yourself (as per your comments in a recent video). You have music fans. This is outstanding on both the music and how it's tied to the film. Very nice.
Hey Cameron! Been watching your videos for some time now, but this is another level! I myself happen to like photographing rusty dry decayed beauty imagining what was and could become. So this speaks dearly to me.
Never mind views and likes. You’re on the right track and a true artist, just keep pushing the boundaries.
Amazing work and so moving! The combinations of images and your music are truly wonderful. Thank you for sharing this!
This was absolutely fantastic, it was a very nice and accurate visual album you created. Wasn't sure what to think while watching but I'm glad you made it. Plus now I have more ambientish music to study and chill too :)
I listened to it yesterday - then came back after today's video, with added perspective.
Thanks a lot for sharing. Count me in the "people that got inspired by this to just do the thing".
Nice job, Cameron. I think it deserves another watch/listen! Thanks for sharing it with us.
Wow. You guys, what a journey of sights and sounds!! Bought the album before seeing the images, and now it makes even more sense. ♥ You have captured something timeless...
Wow. I was looking forward to this after you mentioned it in an earlier video but I was ill prepared for just how amazing it would be.
What a beautiful work of art. Both visually and sonically.
The sense of desolation that permeates through this is almost visceral, stirring primitive emotions of longing at some indescribable thing that’s been somehow lost but not forgotten.
Congrats to you both for creating this, and for all the hard work, time, and effort you put into it.
Truly remarkable work 😊
The inscription 'Bank of Yazoo City' at 00:58 has the same font used in Yazoo's 'Don't Go' single cover.
Quality Ambient Exploration, Art by a real artist. Visually evocative, sonic-ally brilliant.
Amazing work. This sounds and looks fantastic. I love it
Awesome Music! My fave is "An End Yet to Come", best Audio/Visuals, closely followed by "Somewhere Within that Stale Infinity"!
It's hard to describe how much I love this, including the music, aesthetic style, and scenery. Very well done.
I don't really consider myself a fan of electronica or primarily electronic music, but I really enjoyed this! At a couple points, I felt the music was too epic for the visuals, but for the majority of the work I was really drawn in. I especially enjoyed: the sound of "For All Our Ways We Grow Still;" "Ghosts of the Southern Line;" my favorite visuals were during "All Things Yet to Come" (loved the music here, too); and I felt the best synergy between music and visuals in "Alone Somewhere In It All." Bravo, sirs!
Awesome audio, and loving the visuals with it! I'm enjoying the journey through this... Thanks for putting this together :D
Very cool visuals, especially-for me-the stark landscapes with beach, water, and hills in the distance. And oh by the way, the music's great too. Lol
I watched your weird thing buckaroony. It’s fantastic. Thanks for sharing your art!! It was totally worth all the effort.
Outstanding creative production. I really enjoyed watching and going along for the ride. Music is amazing.
The music is just absolutely superb, wow. Adding the visuals on top just make this so incredible!
Very kickass collab with two of my very favorite content makers. Not just cause it makes sense but I’ve thought for a long time that you two would make an excellent collab on something, and y’all didn’t disappoint. Jordan was perhaps a little more giving than I might’ve anticipated but not saying that in an egocentric way about Jordan either, I just know he’s been a successful musician for a many years so I woulda been a little hesitant to take the wheel myself. But VTheory I’ve thought you also make some really great music for a while now too, since hearing the demo track you made for Miccraft9 (chefs kiss in the air). I felt like y’all struck a good balance of y’alls combined brain meat. It felt like a big package in a smaller sized tightly packed parcel. I hope to see more of these, possibly branching even more subgenre-wise sonically. But I’m not really anyone whose opinion draws attention, nor will I act like mine is better than anyone else’s either. But for what value it is worth, I received this content kinda as a stocking stuffer on today as a whole already & it’s only 8:30am here in Bham. 🤘👍🤘🙌🔥💯
Can we playlist this on UA-cam music or y’all shared to streaming yet? Great job again visually also, didn’t even get to that side of it lol.
Love it! Amazing work! I want to hear more of your music. You have an incredible sensibility. MORE!
Definitely has some good ideas worth revisiting. Thanks for going for it with Benn!
This is epic!!!! I really loved " There Witj You Once In A Dream "
Stunning! Thank you for releasing this piece of art.
HOLY (You know the Rest), Thanks for this work of Sound/Art. You always AMAZE!!!
After seeing / hearing / xperiencing this I realized how much I missed the limal saces in the wester deserts. Where anything is possible. Thanks for this.
Wow!!! ive loved all of your tutorials! they've been super helpful and easy to digest, Thankyou!!
This project is AWE-SOME! Fantastic work from you and the crew.
Big ups from "Spook" the junglist, from NZ.
Keep em coming!
I've been watching/listening to this video over and over since discovering it. Wish I could up-thumb every time!
Well.. idk why, but this is like the answer for me, what life is about for me. Incredibly moving my emotions to some point where I finally understand the direction I would like to go. Thank you for this. I hope this emotions will stay with me longer than half a day..
Well done my dude! I think I connected the most with "alone somewhere in it all" but it's all very beautiful.
Cameron, that was great! Really affecting photography and composition, and lovely music. Thanks for doing this! It adds to the world, it inspires. And ❤UVI!
Worth every minute. This is on the same level of a movie score from Atticus Ross as an example. Beautiful soundscapes, haunting sounds, amazing depth in the production. I knew you together with Benn couldn't possibly disappoint.
Wowwwww!!! Magnificent scenery and shots with an outstanding soundtrack!! Bravo!! Keep up the great work!
Love the music! The visuals are nice too. Based off your "why make music if nobody cares" video I'd say the effort you put into this was well worth! 16k views is nothing to scoff at. Plus if you can touch at least one person it was well worth it and I think a lot of people enjoyed this 👍
Congratulations on the project! Nice work Cameron.
An amazing and inspiring piece of work Cameron, well done. It reminded me somewhat of an ancient film series of a decades long road trip I saw years ago, "Road Dreams". It's available on UA-cam....
An End Yet To Come was my favourite part!
grumpy ass or not, you sure know how to make music sound so good, so polish.. with the added koyaanisqatsi esque footage, this is great.. cheers man.. jesus christ that fence is insane..
That was incredibly well done. Thank you for sharing it. I'm glad you decided to leave the airport footage in.
The colors are so pretty ugh I feel like every one of these stills should be a photo I’d find on Pinterest somewhere
This album reminds me a lot of half life, not only because of the cinematography, but the overall ambient dark feelings of the tracks.
Wow, this is great!! Kinda remembers me of films like Baraka (1992). Awesome work, want more. :)
Ghosts of the Southern Line fits perfectly with the Wall. Good job Cameron with music, storytelling & images!
Really enjoyed this. Lovely colors and atmosphere. Thanks!
This is really beautiful in a sad kind of way. I hope you and Ben get to keep making art.
This was mesmerizing to watch, great work overall but the cinematography is top-notch, and amazing job with the soundtrack.
Beautiful, thought-provoking, inspiring. Thank you.
I loved this so much!!!! Thank you for making this!
Some of these scenes are otherworldly. Beautiful work!
Ghosts Of The Southern Line - a masterpiece! Love all of them, but this one is so powerful!
Absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. Well done!
Must admit did not realise how good the UVI universe sounded 👌
Venus Theory, this is amazing work!
Thank you for the incredible atmospheric video and music. At some point there was a sense of hopelessness and devastation, but then the devastation of human existence was replaced by the triumph of the power of nature. thank you very much for the video where you explain your ideas related to creativity and the process of creating music. It helps me to respond to my experiences too.
These are amazing vibes, visual and musical. Love the way "An End Yet To Come" starts and builds, and love how "Alone Somewhere In It All" acts to end it all.
I've watched this on repeat for about 90 minutes. Great work, love the music.
Really lovely work, Cameron. This stuff is very much in line with some of the creativity I aspire to. You're to be commended for putting your art out there...takes guts.
Good work! I love the slight Wes Anderson vibe of your color grading and the breathing effect of the camera movement adds a nice voyeuristic touch to all of this. Beautifully scored. Really captures the dystopian aspects of 2023 USA as well as giving a sense of space and abandonment.
Some really interesting looking places and the music and production values are really really top class. But I was really missing someone telling me a bit at least about what I was looking at and how it ended up that way. But I love history and context, not just stunning visuals and soundtrack. And it's a foreign country to me. But it certainly makes a kick ass audio visual slideshow, congrats. Looks like loads of work.
Cameron, thank you for making and sharing this, the video and the music are amazing
Yo, this was dope! And your music design has the feels❤❤❤❤❤
Beautiful work! Congratulations both of you :)
/George
i'm happy to see you uploaded this. hope it brings some serious film scoring down the road, like an HBO series or something! beautifully filmed as well. very cool.
color correction is insane!! You are genius! Amazing! Very inspired by your work! Music🤌
Marvellous! 🙂
Man, I love your work. Thanks for putting this out in the world.
