  • One thing that’s become very evident since we started uploading to UA-cam is that 90% of viewers, don’t read our descriptions.
We get a lot of people coming at us for ‘click bait’ and other accusations that would have been solved by simply READING THE DESCRIPTION
But for those who do; thank you! You truly have no idea how much I appreciate that you take that time to read this.
We’ve had some comments asking for more Rudnik stories and today I don’t have the energy for a voiceover so I figured I’d throw a summary of our progress over the years over the footage from yesterdays.
Also, I don’t know about you, but some days I just love hearing the sounds of nature, the squeaky leather saddle, the brushes, horses, all of it. And throwing my raspy voice over that feels wrong because the sounds of nature can be so calming and my voice - not so much 😂
But if you don’t want to read the captions that’s totally fine too! You can just enjoy the video for what it is - a day in our life!

The 'breakthrough' and 'aha' moments make good stories but don't lay the true foundation of trust. Those moments of you sitting there, of him making overtures then moving away are like the stones in place for a house foundation. What you have is solid. What you have is what most people wish for. I'm glad you found Rudnik and he found you.

It’s good that you refused the quick fix because you have a better horse for choosing to be gentle and loving. He does the things you ask of him without a bit, without having to kick him in the ribs, or without being hit with a crop. He gets into place and stands for you to mount because you ask. He raises his feet to be cleaned or have his hooves trimmed because you ask. There is love between you that well may not have been there if you’d done the quick fix. You should be extremely proud of yourself for standing your ground. You have an excellent horse because of it.

I remember when I first started to follow you……just sitting there, hoping that he would come just a little bit closer than he did yesterday. I don’t know his background but he’s was more scared of you than you of him! He had to know he could trust you before he let you get anywhere near him…….to know that you weren’t going to harm him. I’m glad that you didn’t listen to those that wanted you to send him away……there is only ONE voice you need to listen to, and that’s the one deep inside you. You,and only you, know what’s best for you……and him! The difference in just the time I have been watching is nothing short of a miracle. In 5 years you took a horse that nobody wanted to one that anyone would simply LOVE to have. You deserve so much credit for the effort…AND patience that you put into the relationship and it has paid off a thousand-fold. I hope you have many, many great years together and God bless you and your growing family! I so look forward to your videos each and every day!😊😊😊😊

I started riding horses solo off into the foothills when I was eight. (I’m in my 70s now) I have always been aware of how intuitively aware and sensitive they are. They can actually hear your heartbeat and feel your emotions. All the years I rode and interacted with horses, I have never been harmed or disappointed in them! They are totally amazing creatures!! ❤

Adding a second comment bc it helps the channel & to also say read the descriptions folks it really doesn’t take that long and many times you can find great info from them depending on the channel and what a video is about. I also personally enjoy reading the ones from here bc Aleshia’s sense of humor really shines through (at least I think so 🤭😅)and often taking time to read the whole thing helps with context I’m not sure why more people don’t read them;also just a gentle reminder being kind costs nothing & choosing supportive, genuine words that come from that place of kindness can absolutely lift others up,making their day better there is already enough drama & negativity in this world let’s be some of the humans who are the opposite & follow Rudnik & his mama’s lead(I know there’s lots of good hearted humans on here so nobody come for me)🐎🤗🦋🖤💙

It sounds like you not only had to build his trust in you, but rebuild his trust in people altogether! You did it with love and patience. I'm afraid "breaking" him would have only served to deepen his mistrust of humans. You've achieved absolute trust and respect and it's mutual. It is heartwarming to see the relationship of trust and dare I say love that exists between Rednik and you. And although I know that Rednik knows that you are pregnant and consequently takes care of you when you are riding, nevertheless I cannot dispel all feelings of anxiety for the occurrence of the unexpected: some sudden happening that would scare Rudnik into a reaction that could possibly dismount you with disastrous results. So please, please take care.

I believe you because I have a similar story and my ultimate goal is similar but probably less attainable at least as far as having a home and horse. And I had someone say"that's quite a story" as though maybe they doubted it. What possible reason would I make it up? And I know horses when they're afraid can be aggressive, but if they figure out you mean them no hurt or harm, they can be very forgiving. I really hope you get your home with a place for Rudnik.

Reading about Rudnik’s story & going back through some previous videos when I first started watching you guys absolutely made me cry & my heart broke for this boy & what he endured at the hands of some not so good 2 leggeds,I truly love rescues bc even though they take more time to open up and realize that not all humans in the world will hurt them once you’ve broken down their walls and earned their trust they will give you their entire heart and soul. I feel like Rudnik has every right to not trust & to even be angry at everyone bc of how he was treated yet with your loving touch, time and your pure open heart you showed him that life could be amazing, that he’d always be safe and loved with you and nobody would ever hurt him again so thank you for giving him this.🐎💙🥹🖤

I agree with you, when a animal is broken. Only time of just showing up will help them heal... I never been near a horse but my mom and my self worked with cats as a rehab home for a no kill shelter... There was some cats just change bandages and watch them heal, while some cats was wild or abused.. One cat I knew we would be getting while I was at school hard a trauma by group of kids and males. We had like 12 mid sized cages for like Labs with a cat carrier in there.. Well I would change the food and water for that one then let it see me spend time with the rest of the cats letting 1 out at a time, brushing and what I could with them... Then at the end I would open that cats dog cage door up and I would sit on the floor doing my homework next to the door... It taken me a while but in time that cat got to cuddle up with me as a 14 year old.... So ya I know it can take a while and be very slow progress when working with animals... I am sooooo glad you just did not send him away as I would think all that time you invested in building that trust set the foundation for the bond you got with him now...

I'd build myself a little house out of the way and build a yard with great stuff for my cats. I don't go get any, they just come to me and as I'm a quiet person I get the shy cats, some take a year to get on my lap, one was 8 before she let me pet her, a real feral. Animals take their time and I just give it to them.
