This is a very good, helpful informational video about this guitar stand. Isn't it great that people such as you go through such an effort to do these reviews, edit the videos and upload them for anyone who wants to see them - absolutely free of charge! Thanks you so much.
Learned everything I needed to know. I was leaning towards that model and the video sold me on it. Enjoyed the guys info. He was funny. Thanks
Nice thorough review. Many thanks.
Nice review. Appreciate you showing that the case can be held by it as well.
I purchased this and looked up a review to see how much of a pain it would be to put it together. What a surprise that it’s already put together
Thank you so much for your phenomenal comprehensive review of this Hercules Guitar Rack. Mine just arrived 30 minutes, flipped it open in about 3 seconds (no assembly required), and I placed my Randy Rhoads Jackson Offset V on it (this guitar usually requires a special stand but the Rack holds it beautifully!), 2 Les Pauls, a Gretsch, a Martin Acoustic/Electric, and a Taylor 12 string Acoustic/Electric on the rack.
Because I use D’addario Humidity control packs in 3 of my cases, I placed the entire case upright w guitar protected inside…So 3 guitars in open (not in cases) and 3 guitars in large hard shell cases fit perfectly!
Thank you again Sir for your EXCELLENT review and for giving me the idea to place my case (guitar inside) on the rack which allows me to keep those (3) guitars in a temperature/humidity controlled case.
🙏🙂
Your Rhodes fit good on this rack? I'm looking into getting a rack but it needs to fit my LTD Arrow which is basically the same as a Rhodes.
@@ProdigalReturn Yes Sir. My offset V (fins) bracket the the 2 parallel bars at the base of this rack and the neck/headstock rest nicely in the upper neck holder.
I didn’t think it would work but the 2 fins (V) are wide enough on my Rhoads Jackson to fit nicely. Hoping this helps, keep rocking my friend!
Just purchased this guitar rack because of your review, thank you!
Me too
Are you satisfied with it? I plan to buy some multiple floor stand but cant decide which... I want to be sturdy and reliable.....
@@myguitarcloud5987 yes, i bought the one for 3 guitars and im able to fit 5 electrics
Thank you for this information. Helpful to make a informed decision
Glad it was helpful!
Excellent review!
Thank you very much for a really excellent and detailed review. I have been researching racks online and most of them appear to be less sturdy and they also need some assembly. This one seems to be the best even though it is more pricey than some but it seems to be a much better value for the money. You did a great job of pointing out the positives and also suggesting some things that could be improved upon. I will be getting one and appreciate your thorough review!
Doowopsid Not sure where you are located but if in Europe look at the Gravity guitar racks. Much less expensive, you get all the yokes for its maximum capacity (unlike with Hercules here which makes you purchase extra yokes if you want to fit more guitars), every bit as sturdy and takes up a little less space and the yokes are wide enough to accommodate a guitar in a gig bag which the Hercules can not do easily or safely. It does need assembly at first but that’s it, it folds away just like the Hercules if you wish to transport.
GFM Thank you for the information about Gravity racks. I am in the US but I will look into them.
Thanks for doing the review! I was considering getting the three guitar rack until you put the case in there and I thought "Hmm, that would keep my three guitars AND my two cases all at once!"
Great review, I definitely think I will be picking one up, especially since the prices are down to the $75 range.
Good choice!
Nice review!!! Do you know where it's made?
The thing that irritates me about these ones from Hercules is the capacity. This one is for five guitars but can accommodate possibly up to ten thin electrics, or with a mix of acoustic and electric maybe seven or eight. But it only comes with five yokes. This is not inexpensive as it is, buy more yokes and you’re looking at even more money. It’s 1000mm wide which is what the competition roughly has for their nine guitar capacity ones. Why don’t they just split the difference and call it seven or eight guitar capacity and include 2-3 more yokes for the same money. Seems like they’re being cheap and milking the consumer on an already expensive product for what it is.
How does it work for Flying Vs? Like the one in your logo.
I just purchased this rack. And it’s a fine rack. The only thing I don’t like is that it wobbles a bit. I hope this doesn’t have consequences after a while. But for now it seems durable.
Great Review !! How far away from the wall did you have to position the rack for the headstocks not to touch the wall ?
Maybe about 6 inches
Ty I’m sold.
I need to get one of these for my geetars, oops I meant guitars LOL.
Thanks for the review! You should try wall hangers as well.
I like being able to put a case in the stand as well as a guitar. Can't do that with a wall hanger. Plus the rack is easy to move if I need to. Thanks for watching.
The best purchase you ever made nice one Tony
I think so too!
Thanks for the video! Does the bottom work for banjos?
I don't know I don't play Banjo...
I have a 6 guitar case-stand (Stagg) and it takes up about 24" x 30". It's very sturdy and the guitars sit standing straight up. It won't hold acoustics (or it takes up 2 spaces). I bought mine from a friend so it was a good buy. I'd pay full price if I needed another one.
Hercules are superior to Stagg in every department. Not even close. Stagg is cheap rubbish.
Nice, thx
You can buy more of the plastic clips and have 10 guitars on this stand
I am about to buy this stand to storage, for now, my Kramer SM1, G&L Legacy Tribute HSS and my acoustic guitar. I hope i can buy a Epiphone SG Custom to complete the collection
I bought this (used) on the day my G &L Legacy tribute HSS fell off the wall hanger , damaging the pristine blue sparkle finish. No more wall hangers! Rack only for me. Thank God it wasn’t my Gibson or Fender. It was my shoddy DIY skills to be fair but no more accidents likely with this fabulous rack.
Good for on stage or the studio when using but put them on the wall when you are done!! Or in the case but guitars get depressed when left in cases.
Stanley K Putting guitars on a wall is like putting up artwork to me, to each there own but there’s sunlight and dust to deal with. Not what I want my guitars subjected to. Just get some inexpensive soft cases that will easily fit onto a stand like this and keep your guitars in them partially zipped and easy to grab and play. Seems like the best of both worlds to me - some protection from the elements and easy to grab and play.
Is it possible, putting the guitars in an angle like this, making them warp? Maybe a stand that holds the guitars vertically is better? Also can this stand hold guitars with their soft cases on?
WarrioRAbsolutE the best place to keep guitars is in their cases. If you use the stand I doubt very much that it would cause the guitar neck to warp. There is actually very little weight on the neck. I suppose you could put a guitar in a soft case on the stand but I would not recommend it.
Why you do not recommend it?
WarrioRAbsolutE because the bag may be to bulky for the neck support to work properly
Hi, Is this good for explorer shaped guitars? Specifically a Schecter E-1
That shape is tricky for stands like this!
12:36 thank you for this information. All of my guitars are Gibson except for one.
can you also put a flying v or explorer shaped guitars on it?
vague0circle i don’t think you can
gKilmeister my explorer fits, you just have to let the back of the body "float"
For V's it depends how far apart the lower bars are. If they can fit on the inside of the V, and it's far enough off the ground, I don't see why that couldn't work. You'd just have the V straddling the bars, rather than the bars cradling a regular shaped guitar. Obviously won't work for Randy Rhoads models, of course.
@@Broccoli_Highkicks I've seen plenty of videos and pictures of Rhodes and Arrows on these racks.
How far away from the wall does he have to be? Just a few inches? I'm renting a room but have very limited space. I have 3 guitars and want/need 2 more.
I have mine set up just far enough from the wall so that the headstocks don't hit it.
@@addictedtogear I need to go with the 3 guitar model. Thank you for the review. I was able to take measurements and see the actual product.
I have no guitars but I like the stand
😂
Hi, can these hold a Strandberg guitar?
no
@@addictedtogear Well, they actually do!, I got one after I wrote my question to test it and they hold Strandbergs fine, no problems
Is it nitro cellulose safe? StringSwing, I think, is nitro safe
Yes it is
I bought it for 74 us dollars on guitarcenter
Not for nitro or?
Gunroar Guitar it’s fine for nitro
Just stunned by the price. £85 in the UK. Not gonna happen!
wozzlepop 😂😂😂
I've just been on the website looking at one of these 5 guitar racks and according to the website they can actually acomodate 10 guitars because electric guitars are pretty thin :o
Hmmm don't see how. It only has 5 parts that hold the neck of the guitars. Unless they sell add on kits?
@@addictedtogear You can get additional yokes but I saw another video after my first comment and basically Hercules are being optimistic when they say the stand can accomodate 10 guitars. The video I saw suggested that with these additional yokes the safe limit was probably more like 7 or 8. He demonstated this with various guitars including pointy flying v and explorer models which I was surprised actually fitted. I'll try and find that link and post that if you want.
Elmer Fudd cool thanks
Ehhhhh those damn metalheads and their pointy shaped guitars...
heh, geetars
also, nice rack
ha
👍🇺🇸❤
Too you 5 min to even open the box 🤦... Thanks for the review anyways
You can’t rush art LOL.
@@addictedtogear I don't know if you just replied from your heart, or quoted Jack Black when asked about another Tenacious D album... either way, that answer got you a new subscriber!
Not only that, but thanks to your review I purchased the rack 15 min, ago. 🤘🤘
@@JuanderBoyMusic I think you will really like it. Rock on my brother!
Good review. You ramble on for way too long though. Get to the point.
Cheeky ungrateful cunt. It’s a perfectly concise comprehensive review without waffle. YOU are an ignorant piece of shit!
They have "wheels" for it, but only in Europe...
These assholes won't sell the casters for this thing in the US because of "high demand" 🙄
