Discover the fascinating Cinder Cone Volcano in Lassen Volcanic National Park. It was formed following eruptions around 1650. The 4-mile (6.4 km) trail is easy at the beginning then gradually becomes strenuous because of the gravel you walk in, until reaching the top of the Cinder Cone. From the top, an amazing view of the Fantastic Lava Beds, the Painted Dunes, and Lassen Peak reward all your efforts! You can go inside the crater of the Volcano.

Bravo! Amazing video! The place was familiar thanks to Lance :) I was almost sweating watching you guys climbing. I can tell that must have been really hard, specially with that kind of soil. Very nice shots, I loved the round panoramic view from the bottom of the cone, impressive!!! I liked the glitch effects you used. Your zooms are amazing, very well used too.

We are in the middle of a heatwave and drought in the UK at moment but still not looking as dry as it does there. The path to the top looked a slight but we'll done for getting there, well worth it for the views as well. Your son seemed to really enjoy it as well, good to see. Cheers Alan

Super! Well, we hiked it, but it took us a moderate 30 minutes to get up and about 10 minutes to get down.

One of the least visited NP'S in the west,we tried to drive over the summit one august and the road was still closed due to snow. Cool place. 😀

Amazing!! Reminds me of Sunset Crater in Flagstaff. Unfortunately one can't go to the top (no less into) the volcano crater anymore due to erosion, but there is a lava flow hike at the base. The colors are so surreal aren't they. Little Man definitely had fun, especially when you ran down the volcano!!! :) Thank you for sharing.
We drove by Sunset Crater in December but didn't know about it then. The colors are fabulous! It was a great playground for our Little Man... and for us too! ;) Thank you for watching!

First of all, thank you for putting a link to my video on your end screen. It means a lot, so thank you very much. Just love this community support. It was hard to believe we were all in the same area at the same time, just hiking in the area on different days. I was really trying to figure out how to get away from my group on the day you three were hiking the cinder cone and hiding out in the trees. It would have been great. Now, your video. What a great video this is. I really like your fast motion sections, that was really different. I had to dump my shoes out to. There was a section I hike by the lava dunes and the trail went up the cinder cone to a small plateau to overlook the lava fields. Coming down I think I gained 10 pounds of cinder in my boots. The funniest park was little man really enjoying the run down the cone, that was funny. Great job on the video.

Thanks so much Samnang! Yes, it is grey because the Cinder Cone is a volcano and it erupted in around 1650. It was steep and hard. It was fun! 😃

That push up to the top of the cinder cone looked brutal! It looked super steep and almost sandy (?). Great video, loved the transitions.

@@WithinHikingDistance Lassen is definitely an underrated park, place is beautiful. If you can do cinder cone you can definitely do Lassen. Lassen is just allot more drawn out and Cinder Cone is all at once lol.
