Now think about how they treat Jeffrey or any of the guys. These guys aren't good people since none of the people at the highschool are, but most of their initial interactions are benign and they're just trying to follow their instincts/survive all the same. Having a kid who is male forces women to see things from that perspective, and not just that, but the general difficulties of men as well - like that men being violent isn't just a girl problem, its a man to man problem. And now, that problem isn't a far off issue for a bunch of shitty dudes she doesn't care about it - its a problem for her son. Simultaneously, having a girl makes women like that realize how much better they could have handled various issues with their life, and things they would rather do better. They have a bunch of sympathy for their son, but no guidance to offer - with their daughter, its all guidance.
Hate and love arr two sides of the same coin. Both have passion in it and it ironically bring people together in a good way and/or bad way. Is like the guys gonna start a dumn fight out of the blue and then become best friends after. Human nature is weird ... and disgusting.
