Elkridge Drive-in Theater was in operation until 1985.
Cindy’s is still open!! Still so good! 🍦
Chief,
So good to watch your videos. I volunteered at Elkridge in the 80's and 90's and that Rt1/I95 corridor was one of the high points of my life. Moving on throughout the country, I was able to use my experience/expertise gained there to impress others. Those were special times with special people.
I was also happy to see old friends on your videos whom I miss. (God Bless and Rest in Peace Edgar Sr.)

22:37 the top caption states in 1901 the B&O was acquired by the Pennsylvania RR. this is incorrect.
the B&O was charted in 1827. opened for business as the nations first common carrier railroad in 1830.
the B&O operated until 1962 when it was acquire by the C&O.
however, the B&O still operated independently until 1973 when B&O, C&O and Western Maryland merged to become Chessie System.
Actually, the Pennsy did control the B&O from about a decade before they were forced to let go due to antitrust concerns. They poured a lot of money into upgrading the Old Main Line in the period; most of the tunnels along the route were dug then. BTW the picture of the bridge at Ilchester predates that work: the bridge was laid across the old Patterson Viaduct remains and the route went around the point that was tunneled through in the 1900-1910 era.
@@cwingate438 , i am 10th gen B&O and i never heard of Penn owning. could you tell me the era?
i have a pic of the Illchester station, if that would be of interest to you.
