My personal best fish was caught using a beach caster on the little pier in Craster harbour. I didn't even cast, just dropped my line between the 2 piers and got a massive rattle of the rod after a few mins. It was a Plaice the size of about the size of a bin lid. My mate couldn't believe it haha
without doubt, Craster is my first choice from October to February. Get through a lot of sinkers but it's worth it when you get that 5lb + fish. Tight lines.
+Tyler Robb. Roker pier has been doing well lately with a few decent cod a couple of dog fish and a thornback ray caught from there recently (the dog fish and thornback being quite rare for around here) when the weather settles down i think both the piers would be worth a shot.
That looked a brilliant days sport, and a lovely spot for it. Thanks for the video
+David Storton Thanks for your comment . yeah its a lovely place to fish.

+Lee Rutherford yeah I agree. Tight lines.
Do you have to bump the lure over the rough ground.to get the cod or do you find that the are in same water levels as the poliock
We were using bait in this video but i think the cod will be in the same water levels as the Pollock.
does anybody know how places in shields are fishing at the minute. pier, walkway, milldam. which is the best bet
