Hi, Thomas here from the first pain cave. Don‘t worry, I am allowed to leave the attic. Too bad that there was no official ranking. With the treadmill, the hole puncher and no cat or wall tattoo I should have been above average! 😂
Superbly entertaining. But more than that, handled by the host of this UA-cam channel with a fundamental decency and respect that is sorely lacking from all too much of Social Media. This video made me like my fellow indoor cyclists in general, and Mark Lewis in particular, that much more. Thanks guys. Looking forward to future instalments.
Absolutely buzzing that my setup made the cut. I've since revised it to increase space devoted to the trainer. I'm afraid the pain cave tatoos are pride of place and no longer hidden behind projector screen 🙈
To Laurissa's headwind fan: I would have never spent the money on that fan. How could a fan be worth that much? Well, my favorite person in the world bought me one and I can no longer picture life without it. It lives on the heartrate based setting and it's amazing. Not only does it cool me more when I'm hurting, but the billowing wind when you feel like you're going to die really helps you dig in a little deeper.
Thanks Mark! You're completely right about the clock 😂 that was Sherlock Holmes level of deduction. Great video, love the run through, massively jealous and impressed by the set ups on show in the video!
My wife laughed very hard with the Shawshank reference and the block of wood. Have to figure out a more elegant way to raise the Aircon unit so I get it blowing in my face. Keep up the great vids!
Great video and thanks for showcasing my "green room with Cool Hand Luke". Carpet will be out next year and hardwood floor installed. So we thought to muck it up in the meantime. Fans were in the room, just hidden from photo. Happy I was forgiven when you showed the blue (nemo ) room. I don't run, but willing to watch you and maybe get inspired to do so.
Great video? I really like Yvette's options- I have three kids and I am on a budget. I didn't know you could access the Zwift with budget hardware components.
The table with cupholders is a Lifeline table from Wiggle. It's great and I love it. DC rainmaker reviewed it. It is different brand in the DC review but it is sold in the States under another brand. Lifeline is lot cheaper than the Wahoo. My advise get the Wahoo fan as you know you will eventually buy it. Just tell the girlfriend/wife that it cost GBP75. Would love to see more of the pain cave videos. Great videos Mark. They bring a big smile to my face before I go training. Please keep them coming.
Andrew from about 6Min chiming in here finally haha. The "Indy" license plate is for my son Indiana, who goes by Indy. We do live in Indiana as well, but did not name him after the state lololol. Great video.
You have just re-named my pain cave. The ‘Tesla Factory’ 😆😂. Love it haha. Brilliant video again. And excellent that so many people shared their photos. Outstanding stuff 👍🏻👌🏻.
Great video. On the wireless keyboard topic, check out the Rii I8. It's really small and convenient. Me and my wife use it all the time while Zwifting.
Great video as usual, but to be that pedantic prat there’s a Couple of things I noticed the Alien thing on one of the first videos is not from the film it’s probably an Alien alpha gaming computer to run Zwift. and I reckon the kettle bell weight with the tag is probably to do with her being at a very high level in Zwift racing, To be in the top level racing you have to prove your weight, you have to have a weight put on the scales 1st to show that the scales are properly calibrated. But as I say great video, keep up the good work I love your stuff!👍
1:00 So much jealousy! But...that treadmill looks hefty. How did he get it into THE ATTIC??? 7:09 "What Trevor lacks in completed ceiling he makes up for in orange." HAHAHAHA! Oh my. That was vastly amusing. Holy cow, that was so entertaining. That 30 mins just flew by. Loved seeing everyone's pain cave!! The lady with her tablet on a painting easel and with a box to help her get on the bike was so inspirational. If she can do it, I can do it.
Can't believe you made me watch all the way through! You're right there's a lot better cafes nearer, but the smell is good! No need for the Doughnuts tonight, got some Welsh cake ice cream. We're you intentionally sat on the sofa to give the twisted Saturday morning TV kids show or it'll be alright on the night vibe?
Hi Mark ,bit off topic from this vid , but noticed on Zwift companion a race Deeside snowman sprint series. The races seem to be based on sprint segments rather than first across the line .Seems you can ride as slow as you like between sprint segments. The race I spotted was on Saturday afternoon.New race series starts next week think it would definitely suit your riding style
Good to have watched You again. As I know there is no excuse at all...I haven‘t been doing anything besides getting a BELLY in the last 10 Months or so. Traveling in hotels all the time, I have decided today to use the 10 Meter hallway for lounges (I‘m all by myself) and the found the AB-Roller in my suitcase as well...so big thanks for the MOTIVATION can use ist for sure. THANKS from on the road
@@MarkLewisfitness 😂 yes that will definitely happen tomorrow and the chest cause I’ll try to do 6-8x25 rotation with 50 deep lounges 💪 it will definitely be fun...thanks for all the motivation
Cool video. So many have the TV to high. Your eyes are more relaxed when looking down, so thats where the TV should be - below eyelevel. What I learned at least. Same with computers (unless you lean back alot on your chair)
Loved the video. Glad I did not send my "pain cave" in. I do have 32" 4k tv and a 27" Apple desk top who's only purpose it to drive ZWIFT [wife needed to upgrade to a newer computer - she has demanding programs for work]....both are 1 meter from my grill for easy viewing. Again - loved it!
Great video as always Mark ....love seeing everyone’s setups. You really do need the fan though (connects to heart rate/speed or manually and means it deffo “gets the job done” while racing! On that note good luck on Tuesday for the last one of the season ... are you doing season 3 is the question! 🤣 if yes then the fan/table and wireless keyboard are essential and for “health” reasons so are exempt from any spending guilt 🤪
Hi Mark, to answer your question, if you want it bad enough, just get the smart headwind :-). I don't own one myself as I already have an 18 inch floor mount fan in front of my turbo...
That was proper Laugh out Loud video Mark - thank you! Once we are out of lockdown you must follow up with a Tour de Pain Caves - please start with Charles as there is so much more we need to know about how he got agreement for the setup next to his bed! Can I ask a question re LED lighting? I think Anthony’s setup is good - LED the way forward and can get you in the right mood. I have hooked up my LED’s to Zwift - basically my 1 min avg power vs. my FTP drives the colour - which sounds great but the room getting increasing red as I go deeper into the red isn’t necessarily a great motivator. Can you think of any way variable colour LED’s can help train/race? Thank you and keep up the great work!
@@MarkLewisfitness Yes hooked it up , it's a bit DIY but built some code to intercept my data being sent to Zwift and send control data via Bluetooth to LED control unit l've made. I did the same with a homemade Kickr Climb and fan control but climb was a death trap and alexa much better way for air control, If I can get the words out when I need it on 😂. I'll send a picture.
Nice work Mark and contributors..! Any links to the air movers fans please? And other recommendations, is it for an apartment terrace, so must be fairly quiet... Thanks
Great video as always Any possibility of a more detailed review of your powerdot thinking of getting one mostly for recovery seeing lots of people say they do not work know you liked yours but wondering if long term you are still using it
Mark, I'm a little surprised you didn't comment on the folks that appear to be crime scene investigators photo-bombing Veno's (@13:15) first picture? Maybe Veno's setup would be improved by some 'bulletproof' window glazing?
Great reviews I wish I had seen your request for pain caves before. I would have sent my new set up. I’ll send you some pictures in case you do a part two review. Be well Mate
