Hey ! I read a lot of people complaining about the wheel, what's your opinion about it ? They said it rotates easily when rubbing it against the jacket when checking for blind spot, which turns the volume way up. Did you have any problem with it ? And are you satisfied with the sound quality when playing music ? Thank you !
I’ve not had that problem with the wheel. I’d suggest those having that problem have it mounted to low on their helmet. Sound like quality is good. Talking with my mate Ray from @motonz and we’re not sure why they’re keeping the Packtalk Bold around with the Freecom 4x only let down by it’s limited connections in comparison.
I’ve not had a chance to ride much with this but it’s definitely a step up on the Packtalk Bold in audio quality and I prefer the scroll wheel position. I’d say the 50S is a little better than the Packtalk Bold in audio quality. For just riding alone it’s pretty even, though again I’d give the Freecom the edge as the new voice command system understands my Kiwi accent, but in a group the Cardos easily come out on top as that’s what my mates ride with.
It was given to me to try out by the local distributor (I run one of NZ’s handful of motorcycle specific websites onthrottle.co.nz). I’ve still got the Bold but it’s permanently fitted to my Adv helmet. The 4x is technically replacing a Sena 50S I had on this helmet.
@@alexv.t.9456 thanks! there's definitely some big ticks in the "upgrade" column over the other units. The biggest is voice commands work without the need to put on either a British or American accent. Plus its smaller and lighter. Will look forward to getting some good time with it and reporting back in more detail.
Great product. Love the voice controls and being able to use Seri commands on my iPhone.
How would you say the Freecom X compares to the Bold? I'm on the fence about buying one of the two, but can't find a clear winner.
I find the audio quality and voice commands on the 4x to be superior. The Bold has it beat when it comes to number of units you can connect though.

amazing video, thanks for the info
Between this, the packtalk bold, and the 50s, which do you like the best? Which has the best audio quality?

Thanks for the video, why did you "upgrade" from bold to 4X?
