    I’ve had my offering v2 for 2.5 years now and love every moment of it. Great review!

      Are they going to release a v4? Evil bikes are getting so old at this point. Worried they’re going under. Kinda wild.

      @@schloemo naaah, but like many have to go through the current stock first
      It’s a matter of time
      I own an offering v2
      And about to slam a -2 headset on it
      Geo is perfect, does not need to be updated
      A slacker headset will make it 2025 proof
      And I still think they ride better than most bikes out there even the recently released

      Some people got a lucky glimpse at a production test v4 offering. Just had slight geo updates and frame cargo spot. But seeing as they are still selling V3 (pre LS) Wreckers and Offerings in their outlet section I wouldn't count on a V4 any time soon....

    • @TheMTBRider96
      @TheMTBRider96 2 місяці тому +1

      maybe v3 offering? Unless they found the Ls as v3, regardless, that’s all these bikes need, a tad of adjustment in terms of Geo
      Keeping the nicely guided routing
      No headset or wireless only crap, solid build kits and wheels
      Admittedly I wouldn’t mind a smidge more travel on the offering but still

    Great review! I have the LS as well, and after almost 1.5 years of ownership I'm still in love. No issues with the frame so far - and one thing to mention is LIFE TIME bearing replacement (1 set a year) from Evil is included with new purchase! It's been a one bike quiver for me and it really does it all from local trails that are mild to wild - and park days.
    I agree the STA and seating feels a little dated to other bikes in this category especially when climbing technical stuff. Since it hasn't changed much since the V3 release, the new Ripmo & Stumpy 15 category almost perfectly overlaps the Wrecker's geometry profile (minus the E STA) which is interesting. The industry's "Trail/All Mountain" has kinda shifted to what an Enduro sled was a few years back. Either way, this bike eats and it's mega fun to ride. With a PUSH rear shock and a few other minor tweaks, I can't see myself getting rid of it any time soon. Glad to see it still getting some love!

    I've always been intrigued as to why you haven't pulled the trigger on an Evil since reviewing the V3 Wreckoning, Insurgent MX and the Offering V2 - you absolutely love them and shred even more so on these than normal!

    My evil offering was my absolute favorite bike, but I broke the front triangle twice and honestly, I’m not an expert writer. I would consider myself above average, but not a showstopper by any means. It was my absolute favorite riding bike and I have owned many.

      @@sety409 yes I was the second owner. I bought it from the original owner right after the new triangle came in owned the frame for about six months. Sold it and the new owner called me about a week after I sold it with a picture of a very, very small hairline crack on the front triangle under the linkage. He was a 50-year-old dad and I don’t really believe he cracked it, but it had already been enough enough time after I sold it. I’m not sure who cracked it him or me, but I had already spent the money so he was kind of out made me feel really bad. I called evil. Those guys are awesome. They gave me a slightly discounted rate on the front triangle after I told them the story. The new owner called I believe and had the front triangle replaced, but all I’m saying is to Dad‘s in their 40s who live in Texas without extreme terrain managed to break that frame twice two years. I stand by my statement, though one of my most favorite bikes as far as the way it rides.

    • @tomriley_bike
      @tomriley_bike 2 місяці тому +5

      I think it must be isolated to a specific batch to be honest. Mate of mine had this issue on his coral reefer wreckoning and another had some paint issues, so he got a new rear triangle under warranty. However my Insurgent MX has done a full season in the Port du Solei region in the Alps, riding 6 days a week for 3 months and not had a single issue with it.

    I love my wrecker but tbh it climbs like garbage compared to other bikes in it's category. I've run both the v1 v2 and v3 all the same with a push coil. Ridden a bunch of other brands and it's A+ downhill but climbing I'd give it a D for sure.

  • @IamSeafarer

    Have this exact bike. It’s pretty unreal. It’s definitely more travel than I need for local and it makes me go travel and ride gnar more than I used to which I view as a good thing.
    The only thing I’m struggling with is clearing jumps that require some pedal. With the coil it feels like the speed gets lost. I don’t know how to really boost and maybe it’s time? I’m also gonna try a Vivid air shock on it

    • @TheMTBRider96
      @TheMTBRider96 2 місяці тому +1

      The delta thrives on coil, to get nearly the same pop as with an air shock I found myself opening up the rebound more than on the air shock
      I also got my coil retuned and it’s way poppier than my x2 ever was, along with being incredibly supple and bump eating with way more support

    • @IamSeafarer
      @IamSeafarer 2 місяці тому

      @@TheMTBRider96 Do you mean 'speeding up' the rebound? I have mine at all the way fast and I still can't quite find the pop like I could on my Jade X back on my Rocky Mtn Instinct.

      @@TheMTBRider96 Ohhh you're riding a push... bit of a different story haha I think you can really tune those to pop compared to super deluxe. IDK though there may be a way to have RS SD tuned up as well, I just know Push is focused more around custom tunes and promotes allowing a poppy progressive feel to their suspension curve.

      @IamSeafarer 2 місяці тому +3

      @@virag1132 And yet, the bike feels like it does more than it should on both ends... handles gnar super well and extremely playful and fun on trails that aren't huge. Seattube is a bit annoying but I haven't thought about it at all on the trail. It's a joy to ride.
      I think Evil's bike designs are just about perfect. I think their service is what is behind. Always pulling teeth with getting order details like spring weight corrected, or touch up paint for paint failing too easily they expect you to pay for that kind of thing. Warranty is OK.
