Enhanced Decal Draw Distance (low to ultra).

The playing with gun in fallout is most likely due to guns jamming more often in the apocalypse since guns in the wasteland aren’t taken care of, the player is most likely making sure it’s not jammed before shooting, at least that’s how I see it
PRP Dev just now finding this video. One thing not mentioned is that I'm also trying to fix bugs the unofficial patch team can't touch (if they did, PRP would not be a thing and UF4OP would balloon in size a lot.)
If you find verifiable issues, please report bugs so they can be fixed.

Neat list, I want to add Immersive Animation Framework in the mix. It adds some cool animation to consumables and aid items. Patching for other mods items is super easy too.
Without one you've just mentioned, Fallout 4 is broken beyond playability.
Only 2-3 of these really deserve to be called essential. Another 5 or so I would call potentially experience improving, and the rest I would deem frivolously preferential.
All that said, this was a pretty good list that exposed me to one or two mods that I missed and would like to try-even if the list does not conform to what I believe would be actually called "essential."

Pancuronium, The vanilla drawing animations, at least on weapons like the Deliverer, mean the player character carries the gun in condition 3. This carrying method means that although the magazine is placed in the weapon there is no round in the chamber, thus the racking (and not brass checking, as you described it) animation is needed. This is a much safer method than the one depicted in the mod which is condition 0, a very dangerous carrying method because it means that there is absolutely nothing stopping the gun from negligently discharging. As neither the vanilla nor the modded animations depict the flipping of the safety off, which would be condition 1, in my opinion the longer vanilla animations make more sense. Sorry for the long winded explanation but I thought I should clarify this often misunderstood topic.

I tried prp but was very disappointed. It broke the lighting and textures in about half the dungeons. It conflicted with many many mods. You can play with lags and a little fps, but with missing textures and blinding light, you can't.

I cant find any of these mods on the mods screen, am I doing anything wrong?
I think the reason Bethesda didn't include holstered weapons is bc of how Power Armor works now. If you get into a suit with a rifle on your back 1) how does it close? 2) how does it get back in your hands? And we're forced to watch the player get in and out of Power Armor in 3rd person. But then again, maybe it's the minigun 😆
Fallout 4 upscaler is another great performance mod, lots of mods improve cpu performance but if you're gpu limited the upscaler will be a huge improvement
Without any graphics mods i was able to get to the engine's max framerate of 300fps on DLSS quality setting

Leaning is avaliable. Its not a toggle but if you get behind cover youll peak around.
I will never play a game of Fallout 4 without Rain of Brass. It really adds to the Hotline Miami-esque chaos you have to trapse back through when you have to leave the location you just shot up.

As of today PRP causes bugs and can't be recommended, at least the ver. I tried to use. Causes invisible textures in certain areas.

Yeap knew all of them, infact I have a gigantic list you may add in the future.
Pretty good list, though PRP is hardly “essential”, it supposedly regenerates precombines, but as long as you don’t have any location adding/altering mods, precombines shouldn’t be broken. I don’t use such mods, and the bugs that come with PRP makes it not worth it to me.

Ive just started on pc and tbh I could use an modder in discord too talk me though the tools I have and thing I must do to get the best game..I've learnt alot but I human to talk to to get down all the small things I'm doing wrong or add or learn how to deal with conflicts and trim my mods and learn which ones I should avoid putting with other mods. I've added Sims, redux to super mutant and ghouls but I like to make the ghouls better. Tom of guns I can imagine might be issues. But just a run down of modding from someone as good as you. Learn alot over a few weeks. Wasted 47 hours to learn how to do it all in 2 hours instead..learning just need a human to teach me how to make my mod order as stable as possible
Sigh come on man… I just finished installing Just Frosty wabbajack mod list and I told myself I was just going to add a couple extra mods to it.
I’m almost 100 extra mods in and now I’ve got to add most of these 11 to that.
The third justification for the door animation and id argue the actual justification is so that NPCs going through the doors don’t look like they’re teleporting. Of course still, there is no reason this has to apply to the doors the player is trying to go through.
The slow fadeout actually draws more attention to the lack of an "NPC opening and moving through door" animation than an instant teleport would. Either way it looks awful, but a quick teleport doesn't give you as much time to think about what's happening.
@@PancuroniumB i just remember going from Fallout New Vegas to Skyrim and instantly noticing, and appreciating, the door animations. I personally feel like it provides more than it takes away (when NPC’s go through, that is) (also it should load **something** during the animation)

I agree with you, most developers don't care. even bullet decals in the 2023 games disappear instantly.
Console is absolutely essential. Stuck while trying to use a terminal and can't move away, console is the only way to fix the issue.
I guess I'll give Previsibines. I have a 3080, but I play in 4K with several texture mods and a pretty heavy ENB, so this mod might not do anything for me. Nothing to lose by trying though.
If you are CPU bottlenecked, PRP will help quite a lot. If you are GPU bottlenecked, it will only help a little, if at all. At 4K a GPU bottleneck is likely, especially with an ENB.
Texture mods should have no impact on framerate unless you are running out of VRAM or load a bunch of high-res loose texture files.
The "Fallout 4 Upscaler" mod may help you a lot more than PRP, and I've found with DLSS Quality the resulting image can look better than the vanilla game's TAA implementation. Unfortunately it doesn't work with ENBs, but you can still use ReShade.
I'm working on a high refresh rate guide for Fallout 4, and I can say with confidence that an RTX 3080 coupled with a newer CPU can achieve 120+ fps all the time at 1440p, although the same at 4K will require reductions to settings or a faster GPU. (Or you could shell out to PureDark's Pay-treon to get DLSS3, but you need a RTX 40XX card for that).

"console user are getting the shaft" cries in fallout 4 vr. srsly, most mods dont work in the vr version, since the builds of fallout 4 and fallout 4 are so different that theyre incompatible. fallout 4 vr is basically a fallout 4, before any dlcs, but after 2 patches

I can see consoles playing a huge role in yesterdays world, playing games on the big screen in which PC's couldn't but that's a thing of the pass, PC's have evolved and can now have a home in the media room so it baffles me as to why they are still so popular in todays world. A PC tops them in all areas and aspects. Take Starfield, it seems as though it's primarily focused on console "XBOX" with PC coming in second. I just don't get it.
I've always been a PC gamer through out my whole life other than the Atari I had back in the early 80s in my 20s. I think it was around 2018ish that I gave a PS2 a try, that didn't last long as I'm now back on PC connected to my big screen.
