Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in EU :-( In Germany the Green party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing petrol stations to only one state operated peoples gas station per city. From 2027 on in the EU certain car parts will be banned as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and transmission lubricants....

@@bradxvIII Biggest problem is China, China told our EU politicians that they wont do any business with underdeveloped countries that still allow CO2 emitting traffic after 2030...I am sure USA and UK also will be forced by China to 100% electric traffic because today no industrialized country can afford sanctions by China....:-( EU = China.

I also have a 1988 bmv530i e34 body. very happy with this car. True, from the M50b25 engines to no, I would change the engine with a gearbox.
As both an E30 and E21 owner, I have to say that build is just beautiful! BBS rims, the great paint job, all the engine work and an undercarriage you could eat off of. Got my '78 E21 awaiting a new 2.7 M20 stroker this winter.

Excellent build! When I lived in Germany in 1991, I bought a green 1976 BMW 316i for $600. I wish I kept it and brought it back to the States with me. It was in great condition, too.
I remember the Deutschmark was $1.48 to the dollar. This was before all the EU bullshit.
Finally a proper restorations. 🙌 so much rubbish on UA-cam, wrapping cars and not painting etc. Hats off to you, beautiful job

Beautiful rebuild, I would have been tempted to put M3 style flared arches and x-braced the strut towers but that's just me,that's a valuable car you now have,more power to your elbow!
My first car was a i30 318i 1984 American made, after I had a i30 325i 1987, I love i30, beatiful job, regards.

My dream is to be able to "build" my own E30 in a similar fashion... not a street racer or track toy, but fast cruiser. Right now I don't even have a E30... or a garage :(

I love all these videos, I just wish they provided a budget for the jobs. It would be good to know for those of us who are thinking of doing a complete restore as well.
