I can't even beat Hardest AI, and here Beasty goes doing that. You're an inspiration and despite only getting a little bit better at AoE4, I've learned to not panic and just keep going, even if things look like they're going wrong. Watching you deal with all these situations and always remaining absolutely calm is really helpful!
I learnt from him to be factual and to not stick to 1 blind strategy , also intel can reverse battles
yeah the biggest thing I've learned from watching the pros is that you're often not always down for the count. you can very well recover even from far behind.
I can beat outrageous but not Absurd, while this man is defeating Absurd without making units lmao.

One thing that I never understood was how the difficulty plays. Easy is way too simple, always winnable, but when I go intermediate, its almost absurd

If I was you, I'd set a bunch of custom hotkeys for stuff like unit production and building. Ever since I started doing that, I spent way less time clicking on things and it felt like I had more time to think and watch everything happening. Not sure whether you use hotkeys or not, but if you're not using them, good hotkeys really can help
Which hotkeys?
@@TheGawron666 Lots. You can go in the settings and personally bind hotkeys to any key you want. The essential ones are hotkeys for selecting all your barracks/archery ranges/stables, etc and hotkeys for your TCs so you can very easily keep them producing villagers. It's also good to set build hotkeys for houses and farms since those are things you might need to build lots of quickly. Just with these hotkeys, you will be able to: (1) produce units without looking at your production buildings or clicking on them, (2) produce villagers without looking at your TCs or clicking on them, (3) build farms really quickly. For example, I can get ten villagers and press shift+A then I press E ten times and place ten farms. That takes like 2 seconds, whereas if I manually clicked and placed them it would take so much longer. The best part of hotkeys is being able to queue up more soldiers without looking away from the battle.

I mean the ai didn’t fall for it, I don’t think most human players would do it better. The scout tactic is more exploitative than just abusing the ais intelligence.

The 2 pros would clean, easy. As you can see, the Absurd AI can be beaten without units.

Can any one answers what he's doing when he reselects the wall after he places it down. pls
I was wondering that for a while as well
a wall will have a "pillar" fence at the start and end off the wall.
Which villagers skip building untill the entire wall is complete and then run back to the start of the wall to build it like a dent.
He selects the full wall and since the pillar segments are selected seperately from the normal wall,
You can select the pillar walls and cancel building them by selecting them and pressing "S".
He does it so fast so i had to watch it in slomo a couple of times to figure it out lmao 😂

I am bronze 1 and I did this against hardest ai using rus, wonder win + sacred sites both :) No need for full map control tbh if you wall early the ai they try and develop with only the space they have and they choke quickly. then you can build a tiny overprotected fortified keep in a corner with layers of walls and keeps and towers and the wonder safe in the back. i like to play on maps like mountain pass or french pass for this. I always loved playing with towers and walls against ai and i wish this playstyle was more relevant in multiplayer.

At 19:52, why did he not shift-click the farms?
builders go to construct nearby buildings automatically and one stays on the farm
@@bruvkek4629 But couldnt you just Shift-click the farms and in the end click on the last farm again? Should be the same result and faster or am I missing something?
@@Jan_Vogelsangif you leave shift-click they will build all the farms togethert and then harvest, if you build them shift + click, and then you click on just one farm, they will build it in order, but one villager always remaim back to start harvesting, its a minor thing, but if you build like 20 farms, you dont have to wait for them to finish all the farms and then go gathering, it saves you time, and more food over time
