Someone needs to figure out a mod that allows for one person to have an increased pop, so that’s asymmetric games are a little more balanced
I think you can do that with advanced game settings mod

there is the outback octagon mod where you get +50 pop for eliminating a player that might work here.

Love theese games! They really put Beasty skills into perspective
There should be a team-game-settings-option that allows for individual landmark-elimination of teammembers! That would be much more fun! That should even be the standard team-game mode with the optionality to change it

True but also expected. The safest way to deal with a pro like Beasty who's a monster in micromanaging in a 1 vs several players is to outboom him. Isolate him, survive the early aggression, and then gang up on him at age 4. It's hard to beat him in the early stages since he uses the Chinese civ and had enough time to build a defensive landmark and it didn't really take long for the gold players to realize that Beasty recovers insanely fast after getting raided. And you can tell these players were determined not to get shamed so better safe than sorry.

If he had increased population cap, if it is possible to do that which i dont know, he could have won.

Excellently played, did literally everything that you could to what the game limited you. For the amount of vills you need to gather to supply your army, you're extremely crippled due to lack of military capacity. Imaging if you were allowed 1000 pop and your enemies were limited to 200.
I reckon even just 400 would have been enough for him... which would only turn him into a "2 v 7" pop-wise instead of "5 v 7" which would probably be a piece of cake for him at that point.
He stiil has to micro 1000 civ, you can think that it is easier but it's not compared to 5 players micro-ing 200 civ, it's 1 player microing 1000, i think 1000 civ would actually hinder him. @@davidb4093
I think beasty could win if he only had a 300 or 400 pop limit. Chinese don't need much. Just enough of nobs and bombards and maybe 20 knights to shield his siege. But he would need to be a gun with his springalds.

Simple rule: if you dont have an age up building left you are not allowed to continue playing
swear to god beasty could do this with a ruleset mod package, a few more pop for beast and landmark elimination
@beasty just an idea maybe do an 8 player ffa but its still 1 pro vs 7 golds that way you have a chance to kill them one by one
I would have gged when the 20 knights were raiding my granaries... was surprised that he killed off that wave of enemies. Such a good player. Think it would have turned out a little bit better if he had better resources around his spawn though. Probably 7 players on water vs beasty who was just land eco.

I was going crazy seeing these gold players. All atacking from one side, no scouting, no focus on eco damage.
Green seemed pretty good. I don't know what pink and orange were doing though.
If you use mod for equal pop limit it Could be more inferesting like 200 per person for them And fór you 1400 to ve equal oř less So you Will not ve instantly stucked by pop limit and Could fight 7 players. Just idea

Incredible skills. Maybe 2 pro players versus 6 platinum or diamond (I don’t know what is just above gold) will be more balanced.

Every megarandom nomad 8 player game I've seen. All 8 players spawn on one half of the map... it's super unfair by the players that spawn on the outskirts always win
I'm not sure what's random about it. Once you realize the uneven spawns you can just run your bills and setup on the uninhabited half, boom, fortify, wait for the others to kill each other off and wonder ezzzzzzzzzzZzzZZZ
just have an agreement they quit individually if you stomp all their landmarks

U can do it beasty. if you had like 50 or 100 more max pop and compared to their 200, it could be possible. raiding while defending, it could be possible
or maybe, your opponent loses when he lost 1 landmark, would be more fair.

I think you would have a much better chance with better spawns and by playing Delhi. You can leverage the advantage of your upgrades, and play the map better with sacred sites to distract them. Making walls with units is also good flexibility. Also, I think you should rely on a market to be more flexible with resources.
what market on megarandom there is susally one spot in the middle and 7 players even by accident will walk up on those traders and kill them

Was a nice effort for sure. If you spawned away from them, had some more viable choke points, and rushed wonder/sacred, you might be able to pull it off. Landmarks isn't the way in team games.
Yeah, a different map type could have really changed things too. Having that almost entirely open arabia style map did not help

5 minute afk and you cant kill them... 0 strategy play... nope. Best chance you had was close as you were. Such an easy win if any strategic thought was used. Lol tons that could have been done you just did nothing

Im talking about him hoddling his own offense, attacking down a third of the map with just one player and never assaulting the 3 next to him where he could have removed a front , then defend the one guy to the right while pushing center. Would have been an easy win for me. Especially if he was ottoman or sushi's legacy. Beasty is fast with good macro, but im dead serious that his strategy is laughably trash. Losing to 7 gold players with those rules to make it on average easier is honestly embaressing
