Fury embarrassed the sport of Boxing, AJ honored & redeemed the sport of Boxing! I said this when it happened, After that brutal 2nd knockdown with the right hand that floored Ngannou with a temple shot, you could see Ngannou was ready for the taking. You could also see AJ's trainer Ben Davison screaming something to AJ which ended up being the exact SAME punch sequence they were practicing while warming up on the pads shown in the dressing room before the fight. When the referee said FIGHT, AJ calmly walked across that ring like a stone cold killing assassin & detonated that scary rocket launcher of a right hand that sent Francis Ngannou to an Alternate dimension, it was the exclamation point defending the sport of Boxing & in my opinion that right hand could've killed some fighters! I'm NOT even joking either. That was deliberate & terrifying! 💯🥊
Fury clearly was slacking off leading up to the fight, he was extra fat and acted arrogant the whole time.
Joshua took it serious trained hard and smoked Ngannou.

Problem is unlike the NFL, the UFC doesn't have a union so there's way less solidarity among fighters and inherently a lot more self serving. It would take not only all the undercard fighters to stand together, but the top level guys who've already gotten huge paydays to also join them.

Fury vs Joshua has been talked about for years and never happened even in there primes. Now they are both slowly entering the end of there careers Fury has been dominant as champion but no real challenge since Wilder and AJ had to fight his way back last year and did something Fury couldn't do, now the cards are reversed Fury has to handle Usyk twice before Joshua. Idk I think the window for there primes to fight are over and when they do we might end up Mayweather/Pacauiao 2 in the HW division.

What i’d hope this result does is stop the Saudi’s or similar backers from messing with the boxing pyramid in this way. If you want to have an event like this, make it an exhibition, no more. Don’t legitimise it with title shots, professional rankings etc. if you want to crossover, start lower down, find your level and do it properly. Am sure UFC fighters and demand would be deterred if that’s the path they are presented with.

Dana white owns the ufc and the fighters so its easy to make the fights fans wanna see. Where as boxing has many different comminsions, promoters. Like al haymen , floyd and bob arum they have there fighters fight each alot to keep the money within their own companys instead of having to split winnings with rival promoters.
