Madrimov showed a different side of his game. He was very disciplined and rarely looked like his previous fights where he starts throwing those leaping shots. He also couldn't quite get around the jab to put pressure like he normally would.
Good analysis. People saw that Spence fight and said to themselves, never rush in on Bud.😊
Madrimov has shown through his career that he can fight in many different ways, he gauges the other guy and adapts his style to him, he knew Crawford is very sharp with counters so he abandoned the leaping hooks to not get caught if he overextends, he was backing Crawford up, walking him down with right hands and cutting off the ring, I said before this fight when everybody was saying Crawford would knock him out early that this would be Crawfords toughest fight, it was, this fight should have been a draw. Bad scorecards. This fight was closer than any draw I ever seen.

Crawford took Madrimov's game plan away until Round 7. I was listening to the commentary and the fight sounded very close, but when I watched the replay. Crawford clearly dictated the fight.
same. it seemed closer last night. i just rewatched. i gave madrimov 5,8,9,10 and he got destroyed in 11. like hugging and running.
Nahh I don’t allow those bias commentators to influence me during sporting events. I saw Crawford completely controlling most part of the fight with his right jab. He didn’t give madrimov too many things to work with. Credit to madrimov, he was laser focused and fully disciplined in there, but that came at the expense of him not taken too many chances and not opening up a lot, which makes a lot of sense because if he did, bud would’ve stopped him. Truth be told I have madrimov 4 rounds at best.

Israil did a GOOD job against the p4p king of boxing; & he has nothing to be ashamed of.. With said I would love to see him fight against the other top guys in the 154lbs division.. A fight against Tim Tszyu or Erickson Lubin would let us really know how he stacks up against the best in that division..
When I think of this fight I don't see control I seen way to much moving without any output... buds punches was crisper, cleaner, and just look more pretty. You not gone beat bud at his event in the US just surviving a fight

Madrimov normally rag-dolls his opponents & sweeps the ring with them. Versus Crawford he was extremely hesitant, throwing constant faints & manage to connect a few single punches. He was out-landed and clearly lost the championship rounds. It was a close fight but Crawford did edge it out

He landed one punch at a time and fell short in points. Crawford stayed busier than him the whole fight. Madrimov normally bully his opponents while in this fight Crawford kept him at bay with a jab and took the championship rounds with beautiful combinations & uppercuts. It was Crawford in control the whole time

There's no disgrace in losing to an all time great like Crawford; Ismail should be proud that he gave 'Bud' Crawford such a close , tough fight in just his 12th professional bout.
