Good Morning! Everyone, listen to Kaye. Until it happens, it’s really hard to imagine how things change, but…EVERY step!!! I don’t know why, but age matters when it comes to falls. When we’re younger, if we ALMOST fall, or we do fall, it’s like, “Oww”, and you just get back up and don’t even remember that you fell. Later in life… falling can change your life, either short term or longer. Take care Kaye and everyone! I’m glad you healed so quickly!❤

Falls can be extremely debilitating, especially for older women. My grandmother fell and broke her hip when I was younger and although she did recover, it continued to cause her great pain and difficulty for the rest of her life.

I understand knee injuries more than I want to lol! I haven't fractured anything but have years worth of ligament damage. The last time was in June. Wild lettuce tincture was a huge help in pain management and turmeric for the inflammation. I will still wear my brace with hinges to keep the side to side movement more stable when I'm on uneven ground (almost all of TN I've found lol) for any length of time or out doing livestock chores (their gifts of fertilizer can take it out if I don't pay attention to where I'm putting my feet). Thank God for my husband who did all of the livestock and garden chores while it was healing even with working overtime at his night shift job.

This is the first time I remember saying how big your farm was. That is a lot for one person for sure. My grandmother's farm that I always talk about is 20 acres and being in Oklahoma it's flat ground so a little easier for sis and her husband to keep mowed. They didn't keep the garden going. I had a mixture I used to drink (still would but just got expensive) that had turmeric in it to help with blood sugar. I was typing and had to scan up to see what was going on as apparently you had a bee buzz your camera-LOL. Good to hear you are doing better. God bless and keep you.

Thanks so much for this information. Even if we don't go through this we will eventually have a loved one that needs this help. Also FYI they sell the wide elastic wrap rolls in the farm stores for wrapping livestock that get pulls and sprains. Very cost effective last time I bought some. Love & Hugs!

Good Morning Kaye - Awesome video and great recommendations for what helped you heal a broken knee cap. You are so right that the littlest thing can trip you up and down you go. Thank God for all the help you received from your neighbors and friends helping you thru this crisis. Wish I had some of these items when I broke a tendon in my arm during a fall a few years back but I muddled thru it and took a year to get back to normal with special exercises. Have a blessed week and take care..

Thanks for the promo. I got an order for my last jar of comfrey salve ..got to make more now ..I made a salve with my fragrant rare china roses . Your hair is almost as long as mine now ..I love it! I mostly keep mine in braids with a barrette in back and a headscarf to keep my hair out of the way when working . I injured my shoulders from all the heavy work at my age . I just ordered seed to grow my own arnica from FEDCO . I try to be very careful and no longer even try to ride my horse. We got the 3acres in pasture mowed reseeded and removed tree saplings all with just lawnmower and hand tools. I could find no one willing to mow with a small tractor close to me .. Garlic is planted, rabbits harvested and am picking up 500#s of black walnuts/day from the trees ...no wonder my shoulders hurt!

My mom crushed both her knee caps in a car accident when she was in her 20's. ( back in the 1940's) and they told her if they operated, she'd not ever be able to bend either knee, so she just lived with them crushed her whole rest of her life. (She was 96 when she passed away in 2012.

Wow! That is alot of remedies. I told you about Boron and taking Vitamin D with K1 and K2. It makes a huge difference. I am so glad it helped you recover quick! I did many similar things and my broken ankle 2 Novembers ago healed in much quicker than expected. I did not take pain reliever except first 24 hours after surgery. After that is was all natural stuff. Yay! So glad your better! God has definitely given us everything we need.

Kaye, Arnica is good for healing bruising. It will be gone in a few days. Have you tried comfrey poultice for the broken knee cap Duh! never mind just heard it.? Native Americans called it knit bone as it heals the bones. Sounds like you have a good arsenal for healing so far. I'm waiting for an MRI on my right knee and I've been in a lot of pain. No broken bones but doc thinks could be muscle strain or tendon issue. I did not fall...just stepped down onto landing. Funny about the bed and the leg lift. I've got the same issue and have adapted the same way. God bless you also with good healing.Good luck.

Kaye, if you haven’t had your vitamin D level checked you should do that. I found several years ago with a blood test that my D level was low. My dr gave me a prescription and I got my level up. When Covid came and vitamin D was one of the things being touted to help, I started taking otc supplement. Later had vitamin d level checked and it was high. My dr advised me to stop taking it before it started causing problems.

Good day blonde goddess of the garden. I'm still looking for the row planting video you want to see. I don't like to fail. I'm sharing this knowledge & opinion w you for the future. My little girl, now 34, has scoliosis & a $60K titanium rod on her spine. I have 2 titanium pins in my right heel & assorted other broken bones. The orthopedic surgeon that put my pins in gave me a bit of knowledge. This was decades ago. Broken bones that heal are broken for life. I wear a sympathy brace on my right knee. I'm as beat up as Jackie Chan but not near Evel Kineivel. Take it slow & easy. Congrats on your recovery.💜💪💥♎🌎⛵🇺🇸

I hope your daughter has better outcomes. Thanks so much!! I walked up and down the yard twice and the stairs and it was feeling sore. Mower was here and burning the big burn piles so much got done. Hope to be in kitchen all tomorrow. ❤️
