Hi Ray a great video loved the castle so pretty looks a bit French. The Canon has a bit of history to it you cant imagine them being used in anger.. There are definitely some great old buildings around that area with such spectacular views. A big 👍 best wishes Dave and Dawn ❤️
I think the cannon history intrigued me more than the castle lol 😆 always been fascinated by the Spanish war and the armada mainly because of how it was a massive military failure. Ships ran out of ammo, we sent in fireships they cut anchors to get away crashing into each other, eventually both sides ran out of ammunition after a huge battle and then the winds changed direction and blew the Spanish towards the north sea. They then had to return to Spain by going around Scotland and Ireland to escape. Out of 150 ships only 65 returned. Anyway yes the hike up is amazing and worth doing lol

Nice one Raymondo family. You’ve explored more of Inveraray than I have though it’s a place I really like I’ve got to say. Nice that the wee puffer is moored there. You should look out a copy of the Para Handy tales (by Neil Munro) . He was the fictional skipper of The Vital Spark which had humorous adventures up and down the west coast . You’ll find black and white episodes from the tv series on UA-cam I guess.

I take it it's called a castle, but is really a country house because thats the worse place ever to build a defensive castle.... but what a great place and area.....would be good up that hill with my little camera....
It's a grind to walk up mate when you are not used to it but yep you could definitely have an hour or 2 filming stuff 😉 yeah definitely not very defensive as it's not on top of a hill unlike some!
