It barely even feels like a sequel to the Liberty 3 pro. It feels like a pro spin on the proper Liberty 4. which is disappointing bc the Liberty 3 pro I think is basically their flagship product.
I think soundcore overall is pretty amazing. I've spent tons of money on iPods, Sony xm3, 4 & 5... And several others...all cost me a mint But I mostly care about sound quality since I have a recording studio and that's my life. Currently I have four sound cores. Two 4s and two 3's... All for the price of one xm5. I'm excited to try these new buds. Lots of great improvements. Despite some of the caustic shallow comments, a few have made. The dual drivers, the stem control... That's enough for me... Anchor makes amazing stuff all around... Their battery backup home energy system is wonderful If I'm going for optimo noise cancellation, I use headphones. Mostly I want to cut out the noise for my Tesla Model Y... Even end seat the 4nc do a pretty good job, although they don't compare to my xm5s... But they're good enough. What I like is I can afford multiple pairs so I can always keep the noise canceling on and swap out pairs when battery gets low. Again. I think these are the highest value for the money on the market to date. Still haven't tried the full headphones yet but I am going to buy this Black Friday and try a few pair
hey, can you do a video for WF XM5 they got the 4.0.2 update and seems that the soundstage changed a bit, can you make a test again and compare with the old fw ?

I really hope they didn't go with that ridiculous oval shaped nozzle for the ear tip. The Liberty 4 NC would have been such a great pair of earbuds but only their stock tips would fit. Nothing 3rd party like Spinfit would fit at all.
@@aaronloudnwirelessbut how am I gonna simulate the mic tests? Should I wear headphones and try to emulate the voice call? VoIP sounds way better then VoLTE that uses older media-formats.
This can be solved with a firmware update. The call sound is better than the ncs, the battery is better, they charfe faster, fit better and sound better. For 30bucks more, its worth the money. And wireless charging. Im saying if you like the ncs which i do, these are better in every way. Had 2pro 3 pro 4nc and these. These are king so far

I bought the NCs at discount from Amazon Renewed recently, so in theory I could send them and get these, which is what I planned to do. But the ANC seems worse on the Pros, which is kind of a deal breaker for me, so I guess I’ll stick with the NCs.
@@Bungle2010 Even ANC is very important for me, and dude thanks! Now I don't feel bad about it! 😁😁 But you know, pinch controls are what I like a lot!! It's easy and accurate. But okay, you win some, you lose some😅
@@AyushKumar-xr7dk I’m not too bothered about pinch controls tbh. I don’t know why they didn’t just take the sound quality of the Liberty 4s, combine it with the ANC of the NCs, then hey presto you’ve got the Liberty Pros. Who knows, maybe the ANC will be improved with an update? Another example of a company releasing a half-finished product……
I am disappointed they pivoted what was? I think their best flagship product in the Liberty 3 pro and turned it into just yet another product with a huge giant ugly stem. they already have the Liberty for and the Liberty 4 NC. how many do we need? I haven't released a good dominative smaller sized earbud of substance, probably since the space a 40 which is several years ago.
Can't lie I was pretty disappointed with my last soundcore earbuds. I love their products but when you advertise 10hrs of battery life and then experience 2.5-3hrs actual battery life it's like wtf?
I got the earfun air 4 pro. They have good audio quality and awesome battery life but I didn't like the included tips. Also they're massive in the ear. I think they're better value than these.
Dunno if you're conning us ? I got mine yesterday, turned the ANC up to 10, streamed music from my tablet while my wife watched the TV. The streaming music was a good sound, but so was the TV and my wife talking! I could clearly hear all three. I returned them to Amazon this morning. Rubbish!
I don’t get anything out of conning people. Do note that active noise canceling does not cancel out higher frequencies. You need snug fitting eartips for that. You should explore the different sizes in the box.
As some others are sayin, this is a bit disappointing. It seems that the ANC is worse than the previous L4NC. Other things like call quality don’t seem any better either, actually slightly worse to me. You made it sound like ambient sound mode also isn’t any better and actually a bit worse with the over emphasis in the higher frequencies. It’s times like these where I really wish you were using a more standardized measuring rig for recording all of your data. The FR graphs and features measured above are really all compromised and confusing to try and process since the graphs look so incredibly different from standardized sources like SoundGuys and RTINGS. I can’t wait to see either of their reviews for these earbuds to feel more confident in comparing ‘em to the L4NC and EarFun Air Pro 4. Not looking too good so far though and thank you for being so fast to have this review up. Lastly, why are the case and earbuds so glossy? The images on their official website and thumbnails of some random Asian videos on here (that I haven’t watched) did not come off that way. I understand it’s kind of minor but I really dislike supper glossy finishes like this. Ahhh… excitement is tapering down for these.
It seems I might’ve been a bit too harsh, too early. SoundGuys already has their review up and the data looks solid. Low frequency ANC is a little bit better on the previous L4NC but upper mid/ highs are better on these new 4 Pro. This is all tricky to quantify because ANC performance has quickly become tough to pinpoint with the latest implementations having these extra sensors, changing algorithms and just the overall adaptability of it. So I imagine measuring it can be very tricky as it’s more of a snapshot under those specific circumstances instead of simply off and on. This is similar to sound performance with all kinds of DSP now adding so much granularity to it. Speaking of which, the frequency response, as measured on the awesome B&K 5128, is looking real good. Many people may not prefer the default tuning because the lows and highs are more subdued and not like the older Liberty 3 Pro at all (or the L4NC). These new 4 Pro are tuned with keeping some sense of accuracy in mind. I don’t really like the little bit of upper treble recession at 8+kHz or the roll off around 13/14 kHz but you can always use EQ to minimize this. Though this is really because of my own hearing needs and otherwise, these are still a very well tuned pair. SoundGuys also mentions that transparency mode does sound a bit louder than real life when set to its max setting. That helps explain a bit more what Aaron was talking about. I suppose lowering it a small amount may help if any high frequency sounds become a problem. In the end, these seem to be a very solid pair for the money. Though the previous L4NC were already among the best in their price range and these new Pro 4s are really just a refinement. It’s up to you to decide which is better as they are very comparable, even in price. JBL’s latest Tour Pro 3 combines the best of both of these in one package and offers better overall performance. Though they are noticeably more expensive so it’s crazy we can get somewhat close to them for so much less.
I agree. Even soundguys review the numbers were worse then 4 nc. Moreover call quality microphone was better with 4 nc too but not sure why soundguys gave an editors choice.
@@ThePowersil I mentioned some more details in my follow up comment after the original. I think SoundGuys’ review was pretty positive because these earbuds are not bad by any means. We can see ANC is better above 1kHz compared to the previous 4NC. Below 1kHz is where the 4NC are a little better. If the ANC is adaptive all the time, that can be tricky to test accurately, as mentioned above. The frequency response for the new L4P is also better if you prefer a more accurate and balanced sound. Still, with the previous L4NC’s performing so well, it’s easy to be underwhelmed when the new model is kind of a side grade with relatively subtle refinements. It seems like certain things can be back and forth as far as which one is better and under what circumstances. I suspect there’ll be some updates for the L4P to smooth some rough edges. But if you already have the L4NC, it makes sense to stick with ‘em if you don’t have any complaints. And if you’re deciding between the two and see the older version for much cheaper, like on today’s Prime sale, it’s understandable to go for the L4NC.
I just ordered the 4 NC but didn't realize the 4 Pro just came out. Not sure if I'm missing out but doesn't seem like theres anything too crazy to justify the additional $30. I'd say the biggest thing for me is fitting and staying in the ear since thats always the biggest issue with me for earbuds. Any insight on the fitting between the two?
I've just got the pro, good but not £70 more than l4nc good. For one the case is a gimmick and an obvious point of breakage. I'd stick with your l4nc order.
Even soundguys review the numbers were worse then 4 nc. Moreover call quality microphone was better with 4 nc too but not sure why soundguys gave an editors choice.
@@ThePowersil I read their written reviews of both today. One can infer which they thought best from their data, but I'm a little surprised that in their review of the Pro they didn't go into exactly how it compared to the NC. They did add some text to that effect to the end of NC review, but it was limited to a run down of the extras specs, which is as good as useless.

Aaron, maybe it's me but I've watched a lot of your earbud reviews over the years and there is something about the microphone tests on all the tests I've watched. It bugs me that for all your phone sound samples, the quality of the sound is identical. That is, all sound really bad. You then go on to say, how great the sound is. How? I seriously cannot agree. Maybe you can hear it but watching your videos, I can't see how the phone samples pass any test of mine let alone a pro like you. Do you use some equipment that supposed to capture the sound you put in your videos? Might be time to update it if you do. Thanks just the same for the review.

The automatic multipoint switch over, does it triggered by Phone notification? That's what happening to my Audio Technica. If my laptop is streaming and I receive a phone notification like a text. The phone streaming got paused automatically and I had to resume it manually
Soundcore Liberty 4 pro, Bose Quietcomfort (2024) or Jabra Elite 8 active gen 2?. I care a lot about the ANC and autonomy. Thanks!
These look so dope .
New firmware updates for the Sony Wh and Wf XM5s are also out since yesterday.
I will wait for the release in my country
Frequency response is all over the place. Might be more annoying to EQ than the others. Not sure why they’d go with that.
Hello Aaron - ❤wich sound is better" Soundcore liberty 4pro or Soundcore Liberty 4? Greetings from Germany Bernd 🤔

Finally an upgrade to my l2p i ordered them before I found this video.
Liberty 4 pro or nothing ear?
Why didn't you compare these to the Liberty 3 Pro??
Sounds like the new l4p is nothing special from this review unlike when the l3p came out.
It barely even feels like a sequel to the Liberty 3 pro. It feels like a pro spin on the proper Liberty 4. which is disappointing bc the Liberty 3 pro I think is basically their flagship product.
Will you review the new linkbuds
Terrific sound
Soundcore liberty 4 nc vs cmf buds pro 2 which is best for bass and sound clarity
Their battery backup home energy system is wonderful
If I'm going for optimo noise cancellation, I use headphones.
Ok, using Earfun Pro 4 and Soundcore liberty 4 pro with a phone supporting apex lossless.
Audio winner: Earfun Pro 4
Pocketability winner: Earfun Pro 4
ANC winner: liberty 4 pro
Battery life winner: Earfun Pro 3
Price winner: Earfun Pro 4
Overall result: liberty 4 pro returned, Earfun Pro 4 kept
Soundcore tws didn’t improve these years ,disappointed, great review though
I really hope they didn't go with that ridiculous oval shaped nozzle for the ear tip. The Liberty 4 NC would have been such a great pair of earbuds but only their stock tips would fit. Nothing 3rd party like Spinfit would fit at all.
Yeah, just have to get creative. I was able to create my own ghetto adapter and make almost any setup work. I heard the spinfit cp100 also worked
I dont get it, why are mic tests so bad on all headphones. Also nobody mentions LC3 superwide band for calling.
I test them under very challenging situations.
@@aaronloudnwirelessbut how am I gonna simulate the mic tests? Should I wear headphones and try to emulate the voice call? VoIP sounds way better then VoLTE that uses older media-formats.
Thanks 👍
How does the ANC compare to say, the soundcore a40?
This can be solved with a firmware update. The call sound is better than the ncs, the battery is better, they charfe faster, fit better and sound better. For 30bucks more, its worth the money.
And wireless charging. Im saying if you like the ncs which i do, these are better in every way. Had 2pro 3 pro 4nc and these. These are king so far
Um 🤔, honestly, I'm really, really not impressed, But hey, maybe updates will improve things, because, as it stands, I'm more disappointed than impressed 😮💨
How does the liberty 4 pro compare to bose new qc earbuds
Wow, the mics are terrible on the 4 pro. Nothing ear sounded much better.
I literally bought 4 NC 3 weeks ago!! 😥😢
I bought the NCs at discount from Amazon Renewed recently, so in theory I could send them and get these, which is what I planned to do. But the ANC seems worse on the Pros, which is kind of a deal breaker for me, so I guess I’ll stick with the NCs.
@@Bungle2010
Even ANC is very important for me, and dude thanks!
Now I don't feel bad about it! 😁😁
But you know, pinch controls are what I like a lot!!
Bought em 2 and been using them since 2 days ago here man, and BLAM the L4 Pro launched 🤣🤣 🤣
How do they compare with higher end earbuds likethe sony, samsung, apple?
I am disappointed they pivoted what was? I think their best flagship product in the Liberty 3 pro and turned it into just yet another product with a huge giant ugly stem. they already have the Liberty for and the Liberty 4 NC. how many do we need? I haven't released a good dominative smaller sized earbud of substance, probably since the space a 40 which is several years ago.
Czyli 4nc korzystniej kupić od 4pro ?
nigdy nie wiadomo czy nie wejdzie jakiś update i czy 4pro nagle nie staną się o niebo lepsze
I'm quite disappointed with the new Liberty 4 Pro both in design and ANC. There was no substantial improvement from my POV.
Where do you even buy these in Singapore?
I think it is sponsored that's why he get first before us
Wow. MY reaction on soundcore liberty 4pro now name led display 😊😊❤
Hello Edifier neo buds pro 2 can you test mic against Liberty 4 pro?
Hey bro sony 1000xm5 new firmware is out! 2.3.1
I think imma wait for steelseries artics earbuds
Can I the NC, but inside the Pro case 😁
What earbuds do you think are better; Nothing Ear or Liberty 4 PRO?
they sound different, hard to tell i think
You sound like someone on Reddit! Lol. I have the 4nc and will be sticking with it. I think they were made better then intended sometimes...
@@TrainerNathan Yessir, I’m on the Earbuds sub over there

No it's called spatial audio and it's there in the app.
@@Bungle2010 yeah, but the microphone quality seemed pretty bad on the pro. I didn't try it side by side, but the 4 nc is pretty darn good. Prime deal has it at $69.99! Going to return the ones I got for $99.99 last week!
Hi, Aaron! I was wondering which would be the best option for me to buy-the Soundcore Liberty 4 Pro or the Nothing Ear (2024)? I’m currently using the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro and wanted to stay in the ecosystem, but I previously used the Edifier NeoBuds Pro, which unfortunately got damaged. I love heavy bass music and need good ANC as I live in a very noise-polluted city. Thanks in advance!

Soundcore has been a let down on new products lately
Unbelivable. WTF?
This "new" ANC in L4Pro sounds like downgrade, not upgrade.... Liberty 4 NC have MUCH better ANC.... . How is that possible...???
PLZ MAKE MORE episodes with L4PRO, comparisons with other earbuds.
Hmmm.....other reviewers talk much more positive aboutL4pro. Are you sure that you didnt make any mistake while testing ?
No mistakes were made. The reason its ANC could 'feel' better for some people compared to 4NC is the fit. 4 Pro just fits better with default eartips, but 4NC needs much more adjusting.
Run it up!!!
