Raj: I need to buy an engagement gift.

Raj: It's for Sheldon and Amy.
Stuart: No way! They're engaged?
Raj: Yeah.
Stuart: Well, that's exciting news. ( chuckles ) Who would've thought Sheldon and Amy would be the next two to tie the knot?
Raj: Tell me about it. I'm the one who caught the bouquet at Leonard and Penny's wedding.
Stuart: Okay. Uh... you know, they might like this. Superman and Wonder Woman, it's kind of romantic.
Raj: Hmm. You know what? Why am I buying them a gift? They have love. Screw them and their happiness. What do you have for someone who's bitter and alone?
Stuart: Literally everything.
Raj: They're my friends, and I should be happy for them. A-And I'm trying, but all I feel is this gnawing, empty sensation in my gut.
Stuart: I had that once. Turned out it was a tapeworm.
Raj: Cool. Uh... It's just... it's hard talking to my other friends about this, but I knew you would understand.
Stuart: Why is that?
Raj: Because you and I are both alone, which is actually kind of comforting, because at least we can be alone together.
Stuart: Mm. This is-this is awkward. I, um, I was actually gonna close up a little early tonight 'cause I have a date.
Raj: Really?
Stuart: Yeah.
Raj: ( clears throat ) Forgive me if I'm having trouble being happy for you.

I hated how the writer of the show constantly belittles people who likes comics and related materials as "pathetic" and "lonely". Who gives af. Enjoy what you enjoy and also make friends and make love. You can always do everything, so just don't give up on something entirely and build a cave that nobody can enter. I hated Chuck Lorre with a passion for this very reason. A person can date, be popular, atheltic, and be great academically, love comics and movies, and so on.
Hated that SO MUCH. I have a comic book collection but there's nothing sad about my life.
@@dannyakins8742 So do i, i have a novel & manga collection, posters and even figurines, but i still have a very good social circle around me. I would rather be hated for who i am than be loved for someone i'm not. Do you brother, screw the haters.

@@peterambro86 some forms of humor is in bad taste when it comes to sit-coms. I remember people bitching at the show over stereotyping Penny as every dumb blonde actress ever, but stereotyping people who have hobbies that are different from the norm category as nerds and creeps is okay?
