@@crazydave4455 I honestly think it would have clawed it’s way to the finish line. That guy waved the flag and stopped you but it seemed like it was still moving.
Pulls are huge over here, could find one every weekend if you wanted. And the popularity makes for some tough competition, lot of purpose built pullers. This was a “stock” class which actual enforced more strict rules. No modified, hitches no hanging weight that isn’t factory, etc. and a speed limit.
I've watched this a couple times, did you have any room weight wise for the S66 on the nose? That was a really good-looking pull. Couldn't ask for anything better!
Yes, but this club is pretty strict on the rules. If you pull stock class, the only weight you can hang is factory and in factory locations. So we would have had to put Oliver wheel weights on. So we pulled under weight and played with the drawbar height. (Also washers in clevis) to try and find the right amount of bite and balance.
@@BillTheTractorMan it’s amazing how much it changes track to track. Have a couple of good runs, get cocky run 3rd gear and get your ass handed to ya 🤣
@crazydave4455 yep! Especially after someone comes through in a low weight with a hot engine and rips up the track. We are working to source some good clay to add to our track again. It's been a few years since we worked some in. Our soil is like beach sand, and it dilutes the clay quickly.
@@BillTheTractorMan some of the clay tracks are sticker than asphalt. I have to get a water pump put in that super 66 and she should be ready to go. We are planning on having dyno day sometime in May, run the old Ollie’s see what they got. I am curious to see the difference between a stock 77 and a 77 with an overbore kit.
I sure enjoyed the grin on your face
That little Super is pretty impressive. It just keeps going.
That little 4 cyl has more punch than I expected. Will get it on the dyno this fall yet. That was pulling a little light as well, was at #3300

@@rosstheoliverman I was working the brakes but getting out of bounds.
Nice pulls! Those 4 bangers can really hold their own!
Stronger runner more than I expected when we put it together, on a looser track it can pull 3rd!
I was waiting for her to introduce you as crazy Dave 😄 nice job 👍🏻
Suppose I could sign up that way 🤣
Way to go, Dave! That's what I call antique power! Nice trophies too! 🇺🇲🚜👍
It’s fun when you have a good day, doesn’t always go that way though 🤣
I love anything Oliver !
Hey Dave, I saw the article about you in Oliver Heritage Magazine yesterday. That was pretty cool!
Thanks Charile. One of our Oliver club members writes 1 or 2 articles for the magazine each issue.
Tractor pulls are a lot of fun. Our local clubs don't have them anymore, but when they did my Oliver 80 was the one to beat.

That 66 just scratched and clawed all the way out there
Was a little under weight, but did all right.
Scratching and clawing all the way 👍😁
Was a hard track !
Nice 👍🍻
And these tractors thought they were going to retire 🤣
@@crazydave4455 lol!🤣👍🍻🍻
Can't complain about 2, 2nd place trophies. If only the clutch wouldn't have slipped.
Did you hear the engine unload and see no tire spin? Brother was a bit frustrated when 1st place was 2 feet away 🤣

@crazydave4455 interesting, we are not so strict at Rose City. Basic rules most pulls run. Light tractors do really well on our track.
