For future reference: Chalice is super good for the King’s Leap, with her parry dash which is horizontal. Also, in Mortimer Freeze’s second phase, look at the anticipation of the snowman. If he puts his body up, he’s gonna jump. If he bends backwards towards the ground, he’s going to roll.

Because the queen is an insane piece in chess, and it also makes sense that the queen boss is difficult due to how crazy she is in chess.

I love how Dan has the lowest damage build possible at the beginning, guess he just wanted to make it as tedious as possible for himself.
The DLC was really designed with Chalice in mind, as a lot of the bosses become way easier when using her
Actually they were designed for both chalice and the brothers. You can do the bosses just as easily without chalice

I really love how the Moonshine Mob's snail works. You see him at the start of the level, and the start of the third phase, but you don't think about it until you've already been hit by him at the end.

To upgrade the cursed relic you need to beat multiple (non-dlc/dlc) bosses using the relic until you get the “paladin” badge, I love your content Dan! Please keep making more amazing fun content!

@@mrcubeanimations8168 I meant more on the time spent making it, I think it’s easier because everyone has already played the main game but I’d of liked it to be harder personally, I understand the dlc is located on inkwell isle one (obviously), you gotta be able to access what you paid for easily, but I still think the dlc should be really hard so there is more playtime lol

One cool thing is the bonus of the least played character. In this Chalice was captured because he didn't fight with her. In Jack's he fought with Chalice, so Cuphead,s soul was the captured one.

12:11 hey Dan, if your playing as ms chalice you can invincibility on the sides of the middle platform and use the roundabout shot to hurt the boss. This prevents you from taking damage at all during that phase and the enemies spawn on the top and bottom not the middle. Soooooo yeah it’s much easier.

for future reference the crackshot is insanely good as far as I can tell. chalice also has a dodge roll and a parry dash, as well as double jump and an extra heart. you were also using the worst damage setup in the game, seeing as how your extra hp charm lowers your health, and chaser does the worst damage. peashooter is also pretty weak at least compared to some other weapons. glad to see you doing well as a youtuber, still making great content! keep it up!

You can get a secret Ms. Chalice skin if you beat every base-game boss with her! Its cool and would give you the novelty of 100%ing the DLC! (if you've beaten EVERY dlc boss with an s rank, that is.)
Its a filter once you unlock it, and you have to talk to the cactus lady once you do it.
And if you beat every boss with cursed relic it turns into divine relic i think
Its a good feeling when the dlc releases and every youtuber plays it.

The crazy thing is that all the bosses for unused for a while that you’re fighting in the DLC so if you 40 unused bosses before the DLC came out you were fighting DLC bosses before the DLC was even a thing

Also the Angel and Demon fight was supposed to be a second phase is the original final boss of the main game!

Even though Dan doesn't upload super often, his videos have made my day better for the past 8 years.
I recommend the Chase-about combo since the Chaser’s a homing shot despite being kinda weak, and the Roundabout circles around the screen, hitting enemies multiple times
Fun fact Dan! Boogie the spider and the girl that is after that, The one that shines the lights all around. Those are two levels that were supposed to go in number one but got put into the DLC switched around, Boogie was supposed to be The flying gentleman and there was a level called the light that was just a test for the game and they mash those two deleted guys together.

Tips: if you exit the angel and devils lair. You have to spin to get 2x the health. But you have to choose wisely to spend on the 2x health. And it can only be gone if the defeat the boss that you choose wisely.

The reason why bootlegger boogie took so long is because you’re using the weakest weapon with a -10% charm meaning you were only doing about 15 dps
