I’ve seen A LOT of Rush covers and this is the first one to make me tear up, specifically when drum solo did the cross overs. As for the rest of the piece, that was insanely good. I always worry that as time goes on, this great music will eventually fade out. Wonderful seeing such young musicians playing this.
Great performance guys! Neil would of been proud! He nailed it!!
You guys rock!! I am so impressed. Thank you for sharing. I miss seeing you guys and will have to get back to California to visit.
A lifelong Rush fan who was blown away! You did the boys very very proud! Rest in peace Professor you will never not be missed!!!!
Thank you H.S.E.!!
That drum solo tho 😱 Wow 👌 💯🔥
Awesome job guys! RIP Neil!
David, Joel, Maren, Chad, and Ethan Hyer love you guys!! The Hyer family thinks you rock!!
You mean you're not sure!! Haha! Thanks!
Wow!!! Awesome
Brilliant stuff guys!
Thank you! Appreciate that!
Rest in peace Neil. Great cover, you rock
awesome playing
BRAVO!!! VERY WELL DONE!
Dudes!!!!!!! You guys kicked butt and took names!!!!! 🤘😎👍
Thank You! Much appreciated!
Noice!!! 🤘🏻 Don't ever stop. Say yes to every opportunity. Expand your musical horizond at every turn. And eventually you'll wake up one day with an awesome career in music!!!
That. Was. Sweet. Killer drum solo, too!
Such an awesome cover guys. Y’all did homage to Rush in the only way one should; EFFIN DEAD ON
Thanks Nashville! Appreciate that. If you're at all interested...the band is "Turn of the Century...iTunes & Spotify...there's the 8 song original album....& the more recent "The Cover Up" 5 song cover EP
That was INSANE! That drummer, geez man. Did not expect that kind of solo when I clicked on this video, let alone such great musicianship from all members of the band. Admittedly, I think the bassist could've had a bit more character to his tone just for the sake of covering a song in which the bass takes up so much of the soundstage, but holy cow can he play that thing. Incredible work.
Wow! Thanks Space Sausage! Appreciate you checkin' out the video & for the compliments! (The band is "Turn of the Century"...a recent cover EP album...which has YYZ on it & also an original 8 song album is on Spotify & iTunes) Take care!!
@@lancewilder3863 Are y’all still together? You are the guitar player right? I noticed the last time you had any videos up was two years ago are you still playing
@@randybuchert3283 I'm actually the Guitar player & drummer's Dad who filmed this. This took place just before the pandemic began. No their band with this line up is not together...Their album of original music is on Spotify....and their Covers EP is also on Spotify. My guitar player/writer/producer son, Jake Wilder does have a brand new single out as well....called "Lucille" it's under Jake Wilder (& his brother drums & youngest sister sings backing vocals)...it is a mellower singer/songwriter type song. Hopefully there will be more songs coming in 2023. Thanks for reaching out Randy.
@@lancewilder1530 thanks for letting me know that. Your son is a awesome guitar player and the drummer is just as good. Didn’t you say that the drummer is also your son? Man I tell you what I was really blown away. I’m 56 years old and grew up in the late 70s and early 80s and I sure do miss bands like Rush. I believe in the late 60s, and all of the 70s and 80s we had not only the best music but the best movies and the best of times. Well take care man and thank you again for replying
great job
Nice, REALLY NICE!!!
Nice tribute, u guys shred to Rush. Nice to see kids playing and rocking out to some classics that are difficult to play. RIP Neil Peart, the professor.
Thank you! Appreciate it.
So good. Drum solo was incredible, good technic and rythm.
Awesome cover !
Really sick cover there. Not sure how I ended up here but y'all are goin places. Good stuff man.
Thanks Jackson M! Appreciate that...Band is- Turn of the Century...on Spotify & iTunes if you feel like checking out their 8 song original debut album and/or 5 song cover EP "The Cover Up"
bout to say the same thing except Danny Carey led me to this guys old band covering the pot and now to this! hell of a band!
F'ing WOW!
Thanks!
Bro-- seriously!? Off the meter awesome! I'm the biggest Rush head (notice my user name and pic), and y'all are professional musicians, all of you. That was just an eargasm. I saw you play with Danny Carey and thought you did a great job, but to cover YYZ.... John Petrucci is my favorite guitar player, no question, and he said that Alex is the toughest player to cover, and by far. You killed it! Nice bro....
INSANE!!!! Congratz!
Thanks!
That was fan-fucking-tastic!!!!!!!
Bravo, guys.
Thanks!
Good job guy’s
I’ve been trying to get a clear shot of Alex doing the solo in finale for so fucking long but the camera kept cutting, thankfully the camera man literally held that shit for me to watch
Awesome!...Thanks! Glad we were able to get that close up!
Working on it for sure
Thank you!!
