Great video! God bless you on your journeys on the Sporty. Sportster IRON here, 20', all blacked out, 12" apes, and tons of extras, I do videos too, but nothing as good as this! Great work 👍 SPORTSTER4LIFE
Yes, as you need to be able to loop the belt off the pulley to remove the wheel. To help with re-tensioning the belt, you can make a mark on the axle and swing arm to get it close to where it needs to be.
@@ramblinchris400 thanks i just had an idea of if i removed the axle, i'd be able to push the wheel towards the front end, and leave the tensioners in place - looking forward to your video, especially if your bike has the gauge on the lower belt guard like mine has, i need to find the specs for that from a manual too
On my bike, the fender needs to come off to take off the front because the bolts are through bolts and there is not enough space for the tire to get past. I know not all are like this so not all sportsters will need the fender remove. As far as the caliper, I am able to remove wheel with the caliper in place
This was the first video I found that was clear and straight to the point. Showing what to remove clearly. Thanks for this video man!
Nice video. I like the fact that you did not need to un-mount the front & back brake calipers first for this task,
Rambling man thanxz man. I was stuck and just couldn't quite figure it out. I would have eventually u made it easier
Thank you. You actually made this very simple.
You're welcome. Glad this was helpful

That piece of wood is what’s holding my life together
No mention of getting the brake pads out of the way for clearance.

I'll try to put a quick video on belt tensioning this week to help

no, just loosen them and you don't have to take the nuts off.
What years the bike?
Thanks for the video!
Why does the fender need to come off? And yeah what about the caliper??

you should show how you stabilize the bike, very easy to fall over.............I know
That sounds like a great idea for the short video series I'm getting ready to start!
