Nate Truman. Thank you. We are of one spirit - your story sounds alot like mine. I have my own Batmobile daily driver (2015 Mustang I converted). I feel like a hero everyday and it always makes people smile. Thanks for your story!
This owner! Make-a-wish etc. shows his kindness. Ford Futura experimental car, used in late '50s Debbie Reynolds movie 'Prelude to a Kiss', then redone by Barris. I think the 'exhaust flame' was a paint can!
If you ever drove by my neighborhood with that, I would get down on my knees and worship like Wayne's world!! We're not worthy!! We're not worthy!!I totally lost it when the real flame shot out the back!! Always has been my favorite Batmobile and always will be. RIP Adam West. He would be proud of you. Because HE"S BATMAAAN! :,(
Thanks for all the kind comments, and even more thanks to Chris who made my car look amazing! Chris R's got some skills! Stay tuned, more cars from StarCarcentral.com are on the way from theAFICIONAUTO so subscribe and share!
I really enjoyed this, Nate. The car looks fabulous and I.. like so many fans of the 60s show... easily identify with your love and emotional attachment to that car... I was 6 years old when the show hit the airwaves and I'll never forget watching the first episode... I was hooked. I do have a corgi Batmobile that's in fabulous condition, but maybe one day I'll get a chance to see an authentic replica or better yet... one of the originals used in the show.
Thank u for showing love for the batmobile it’s my favorite movie and tv car and I got to sit in one once at the fair here the only inaccuracy I saw in the car was the steering wheel cause the actual cars made by George barris had a half steering wheel not a full steering wheel other then that the car looked really good and in my opinion the batmobile is an automotive masterpiece of art
I was always surprised , they didn't use a 1960 T Bird as the base platform to build the Batmobile , that T Bird was almost there right out of the gate.
This car was a substitute for the intended custom for the TV show. The show started a season early, not enough time to finish the custom one contracted, so they pulled this older GM Concept car out of a parking lot. It had earlier been in a Debbie Reynolds movie painted red. Then they added the Batmam special stuff to it like the police light, paint job and flame rocket end.
I was given the same car just weeks ago as a gift from a friend...and I love it...even if my one is from hot wheels it's still such a outstanding cool car...
I just love the '66 Batmobile, so much, that every year since it made it's debut in the '07 Hot Wheels First Editions Series, that I love seeing it return year after year. Now, just like the two Fast and Furious Chargers, I have this car in Hot Wheels scale. Also, a few years ago, George Barris took his all original '66 Batmobile to Barrett-Jackson's Scottsdale Auction, and he ended up selling it for $4.3 Million Dollars. Considering that he bought the original Lincoln Futura Concept Car from Ford for just a buck.
I gotta say, I'm a little bummed you didn't interview "Fiberglass Freaks" in Logansport, IN. He has the official license from DC to build 1966 Batmobile Replicas. Absolutely interesting guy too. You should checkem out.
Back in 1997 there was a 1966 Batmobile replica on the front page of the local Auto Trader. It was there for at least two month's maybe longer?? Only 10 grand I often wonder what happened to that car? Somebody got a bargain.
In the day, almost every TV show had an icon type car. The 66 Charger in U.N.C.L.E. Mannix Dart.. Green Hornet Black Beauty Imperial. Etc... Best new tv car now is NCIS LA Hellcat
Last time I saw a Batmobile driving down the street the only thoughts that came in my head in gobbless Adam West for this nun an an an an an an an an an an an an an ana bat man.
still the best most iconic batmobile shape 2nd id say was batmobile from Keaton films as both were technically real cars as years have went on I think they've ruined batmobile like the tumbler or even batgirls motorbike I thought both too far fetched and movie makers had too rely on cgi as both dangerous and lethaly unsteerable I wish movie makers kept it real as cgi is ruining car films like Nicolas cage remake of gone in 60secs the bridge jump was so far fetched and stupid if dukes of hazard could jump general lees and land them if was real cages mustang elenor would've bent like a banana on impact as landed and would never have went distance ud need too strap a rocket too its arse too get so far lol
I'd LOVE one of those-- but would have to have the CENTER part of the bubbles--- it rains here unexpectedly sometime.. and I'd hate to be out and get it ruined...:) Always wanted a KNIGHT RIDER too--- utnl lately-- now it's actually outdated.. the BATMOBILE, however, never gets OLD.
The years now is 2021. And The Batmobile will forever, live in our Heats
Built in Canada as a kit. Sold to nate for $12K , assembled for $3k in a driveway near Magic Mountain on Nate's $400. 78 Lincoln. Golden days.

Love this. Great story, cool car, cool dude, beautiful photography.
The design is 50 years old and still bad ass
It's the Batmobile, it's supposed to look flawless.
Best TV car ever, thanks for the memories!

Fantastic job Nate. I agree with you on "The cars are different but the stories are always the same." :)
Man, I wouldn't even care if my classmates saw me in this, it's so accurate!

thank you for doing this video nate. i have watched it MANY times, and it has kept me motivated over the years to finish my own batmobile.
Great Video about Nathan Truman who has been fighting stage 4 Cancer since January. All say a prayer for Nate and his recovery.

The Barris Batmobile is so an absurd "fantastic car"... That's why it's an awesome one!!!
Great story....thank you for posting...
great car, great video, great memories for me, actually brought a tears to my eyes. thanks nate.
Don't let age detour the spirit of youth.
BEAUTIFUL CAR REPRESENTATION VIDEO !!!
The best of all the bat mobiles
what a BEAUTIFUL 1966 Batmobile ( i love this car ) i will love to have one ... how ever i do have 387 hot wheels Batmobile's
Beautiful I would love a car like this
I was given the same car just weeks ago as a gift from a friend...and I love it...even if my one is from hot wheels it's still such a outstanding cool car...

The TV Batmobile is the ONE and ONLY!!!!. Accept no cheap imitations !!!. Adam West & Burt Ward are Batman and Robin. The rest are actors.
@@johnbockelie3899 theres is only one original though, and everybody can't have it, so, hence the replicas
That was a beautiful video. Thank you.

I remember seeing that
I remember watching a guy in Boroda Michigan build a Batmobile as a kid.
The rear flamethrower might be useful with tailgaters.
Outstanding
Always loved the BAT MOBILE how ever for me it was SPEEDRACER and The MACH 5 !!
Just found your channel. Love this, love movies and love cars. Can't wait to see more.
Fantastic channel.
Great car & job.
Looooove your video of The Batmobile 👍
Awesome!!
I love it, great shots..
In the day, almost every TV show had an icon type car. The 66 Charger in U.N.C.L.E. Mannix Dart.. Green Hornet Black Beauty Imperial. Etc... Best new tv car now is NCIS LA Hellcat
I was middle-aged before I figured out the 1960's Batman series was meant to be a comedy. As a kid I just thought it was a really neat show.
The Greatest Batmobile Ever!!!
Daang ... you're killing me! This is my next ride!
I want one someday but with a AM/FM cassette deck so I can play the 1966 soundtrack I has on tape
Chicks dig Batmobiles. Best car ever.
6:50 its Herbie :D
Awsome....
The Barris Batmobile started out very differently. It was born as a Lincoln concept car. Barris redid it to become the Batmobile
How do you control the Flame, from the turbin?
Cool
I hear Jerry "The King" Lawler also had one but he already sold it.
The Sexiest car Ever Built. The 1966 BATMOBILE
This one and Michael Keaton’s Batmobile r my 2 favs. If h asked me to pick one?…….idk.
Hey Nate. Here is the Futura as a big print. Doesn't look dated to me!
www.etsy.com/listing/230829719/vintage-car-print-the-original-batmobile
The Ford Concept car was a dated 50s car, not 60s. By the time this car was on TV in the 60s cars were already a lot smaller and finless.
Last time I saw a Batmobile driving down the street the only thoughts that came in my head in gobbless Adam West for this nun an an an an an an an an an an an an an ana bat man.
Wait a sec.: A Flamethrower on a car is Street Legal in the U.S.A.?
How do you get it Street legal? No wipers, etc..
little blowtorch in the back xD
THE COLLECTOR? hmm scary :O
Note the shot at 6:34. GTA5 basis definitely.
Lucky bastard
🦇
Nice, but wrong steering wheel
So how do fight crime in this car WHEN IT RAINS?????
Batman 4 ever
Grime Fighter 😂
My mat black 94 camaro got stolen....I am no longer the cuban Batman...:(

Who are you? And why are allowed to drive those cars!
Who wouldnt own one , its the BATMOBILE
a very warming film... thankyou I enjoyed it
I've actually seen this car in person
