Both of those sweaters are killer I would love both of them once again in an adult size you talked about fall as being the time when you have a premium on good weather. I look forward to fall. I love the colors. October is my birthday month because August we call it the dog days of summer Because August is hot and humid and when you get about halfway into September, it finally starts to drop into the 70s in the 60s and I could wear sweaters all the time they’re like my favorite thing. Because of the way the seasons run and the way things are stopped most of the craft stores and the fabric stores are putting out Halloween. In fact I don’t know if you have hobby lobby in Canada or not but they already have Christmas out. it seems a little weird although it was only 77 here today it’s going to get hotter, but I do love fall and I would certainly be wearing those sweaters. your taste is excellent.
@@barbarawalsh2875 maplelea doesn’t make them in adult size, but similar sweaters are very easy to find here in cold months. That’s that’s so Canadian about some of these fashions. Even the parka is a mini version of coats I see here all the time. I wish fall were longer than 3 weeks!! It’s the best time of year but it’s gone in a flash.

For clothes that stain or transfer dye I like to wash them and very very hot water and then leave them in diluted vinegar overnight and then roll them in a towel until there’s no more dye I love all the outfits love your channel. Love, your dolls!

@@DisBlaine I initially called on a Friday. She suggested trying baking soda & water. I did (obviously it didn't work) and I called back on Monday or Tuesday. She said she would pass on that it hadn't worked but was still waiting to "hear back from her team" (I'd like them to cover the cost of sending her in to the doll hospital for new limbs). Her staining is present in many places, which is bad enough for me. She's an expensive doll I really, REALLY like and she can't currently wear anything sleeveless or short-sleeved without the stains showing. Re: washing the jacket, I'll probably do that but right now I'm focused on seeing what they do about the stains :)

I loved this so much! Happy Canada Day from Beautiful British Columbia. 🇨🇦💕I laughed at the “storm stomper”boots. I had a pair like that as a kid but my Mum called them Swamper Stompers! She tried to get us to go on long cold rainy hikes in them. I hate hiking in the rain to this day. lol 😂 Some of the MapleLea dolls are quite pretty. You just have to find one that smiles at you in just the right way. 😉

(I'm in the US) I know that if you purchase $150 US dollars worth, the shipping is free, but for a first time buyer, I'm not quite sure if I want to invest that much. I think it’s so interesting that you invest in other companies that make very very nice items for the girls and the guys. I have met several collectors, who if it doesn’t say AG they’re just not interested in it and as much as I love all of the stuff from AJ it’s also cool to see what other people have put out and see sometimes what someone who is sewing at home has made, whose work is of the same caliber of what we would buy online, or someone who is offering an entire lot of clothing on eBay so that we get a chance to pay me pick up something that was Retired. I love the way you treat the packaging, the dolls, and of course the outfits you are changing them into it sound weird but I can tell you have a great deal of respect for your collection and I think that’s great. So bring it on on Canada Day and let’s see what’s in that big box.

The Maplelea clothes are so cute! I'm not a fan of the Maplelea dolls themselves but the outfits are usually top notch. Tempted to buy some myself someday (hopefully the shipping won't be too bad to the US - but then I'll just be able to relate to my Canadian friends who have to deal with the shipping costs with AG).

I'm kind of assuming Courtney's blazer will end up staining my doll and white cassette Tee. So I think in a couple of days, I'll do a salt water/vinegar soak, as a preventative measure. Hmm I can’t make any promises, but the doll I have her blazer on is fine. I don’t know if it will stain clothes since she’s wearing the black paint splatter dress, but her arms are fine. As for the moon cakes sweeter, I’m going to wash and color guard it before I put it back on-and hopefully the dye on her arms will fade over time 🤞🫠

Thanks for the heads up regarding the staining (thanks Kristie too😊) We generally prewash any black and dark blue and red clothing items before dressing our dolls. Well you sold me on these clothes, and in celebration of Canada day I also purchased a few things too! They came and I put in a second order they were so lovely! Just wonderful and I love love the native American outfit. It was sold out when I ordered. Just a thought as a health care provider the amount of Benzoyl peroxide you would need to remove the spots will not be harmful to you. Trust me on this, my husband is a MD also has used and applied it without harm over the years. I use 6% but you can use 10% and it will remove it faster. Just apply it with a Q tip and use gloves if you are concerned. Thank you.
@@JoanneSag if you can get the nakoda outift one day, I highly recommend it. It’s so soft and beautiful and fits the AG body like a glove. Don’t worry, I won’t try anything else to remove the stains. I’m going to wash the jacket before I put it back on her… and secretly hope next time I take it off her, the stains will have magically faded away. 😄 But if I feel the need, I do have peroxide I can try, so thank you for letting me know!!

I have both cardigans and they are some of my favorite pieces. I am glad the Parka comes with other pieces now I did not get it before because it was just the parka. Do both pair of boots actually fit on the AG dolls because they are really nice. My dolls are ready for orange shirt day. My biggest fear as I mentioned before staining on my dolls It happened to one of PC Molly dolls and I could not get the marks off.

@@DisBlaine It sounds like the color catcher sheets we use here in the US to catch color from any items that run when washed so it does not get on other other items in the wash. Good luck
@@nalayat2050 their clothes are definitely the best out of any I’ve seen in this scale. And doll wise, they have 8 molds-9 if you count one they’ve updated and retired. I need to stop showing this one scary doll I has now that I have 7. She looks so bad because she’s old. One day I’ll get a better doll with that sculpt.
Do they have a journal that you can put all of those pages in? I should just go and look at the website but I thought I would ask you instead you’re right that coat is amazing. Rinsing in diluted vinegar is an excellent way to keep fabrics from "bleeding".

The Maplelea clothes are so cute! I'm not a fan of the Maplelea dolls themselves but the outfits are usually top notch. Tempted to buy some myself someday (hopefully the shipping won't be too bad to the US - but then I'll just be able to relate to my Canadian friends who have to deal with the shipping costs with AG).

I'm kind of assuming Courtney's blazer will end up staining my doll and white cassette Tee. So I think in a couple of days, I'll do a salt water/vinegar soak, as a preventative measure. Hmm I can’t make any promises, but the doll I have her blazer on is fine. I don’t know if it will stain clothes since she’s wearing the black paint splatter dress, but her arms are fine.
As for the moon cakes sweeter, I’m going to wash and color guard it before I put it back on-and hopefully the dye on her arms will fade over time 🤞🫠

What a great video to celebrate.🎉 I already have a few Maplelea outfits in my collection, (including the Indigenous outfit that I have on one of my Kayas) but thanks to this video, I'll soon have a few more (hello brother/sister style!) I also have the Mooncakes outfit, but haven't put it on one of the girls yet. Thanks for the heads up regarding the staining (thanks Kristie too😊) We generally prewash any black and dark blue and red clothing items before dressing our dolls. You'd be surprised by the amount of dye that comes out in a hand wash. Again, thanks for another entertaining, enlightening and inspiring video. Keep the fun coming😊😊😊

Well you sold me on these clothes, and in celebration of Canada day I also purchased a few things too! They came and I put in a second order they were so lovely! Just wonderful and I love love the native American outfit. It was sold out when I ordered. Just a thought as a health care provider the amount of Benzoyl peroxide you would need to remove the spots will not be harmful to you. Trust me on this, my husband is a MD also has used and applied it without harm over the years. I use 6% but you can use 10% and it will remove it faster. Just apply it with a Q tip and use gloves if you are concerned. Thank you.
@@JoanneSag if you can get the nakoda outift one day, I highly recommend it. It’s so soft and beautiful and fits the AG body like a glove.
Don’t worry, I won’t try anything else to remove the stains. I’m going to wash the jacket before I put it back on her… and secretly hope next time I take it off her, the stains will have magically faded away. 😄
But if I feel the need, I do have peroxide I can try, so thank you for letting me know!!

And the Nakoda outift is super soft, a faux suede like Kaya but not as thick so it falls more nicely. I should’ve said that lol but I was fascinated by how soft it was!

Happy Canada Day !!!!!!! I missed the sale since I blew my budget on AG stuff so waiting for the next sale to get the Fist people outfit. I have both cardigans and they are some of my favorite pieces. I am glad the Parka comes with other pieces now I did not get it before because it was just the parka. Do both pair of boots actually fit on the AG dolls because they are really nice. My dolls are ready for orange shirt day.
My biggest fear as I mentioned before staining on my dolls It happened to one of PC Molly dolls and I could not get the marks off.

Well okay the staining didn’t work out but it could’ve been worse. Someone suggested washing it with color guard, so I’ll do that before I put it back on her. That’s terrible your Pc Molly got stained 💔
@@DisBlaine It sounds like the color catcher sheets we use here in the US to catch color from any items that run when washed so it does not get on other other items in the wash. Good luck

@@nalayat2050 their clothes are definitely the best out of any I’ve seen in this scale. And doll wise, they have 8 molds-9 if you count one they’ve updated and retired.
I need to stop showing this one scary doll I has now that I have 7. She looks so bad because she’s old. One day I’ll get a better doll with that sculpt.
Do they have a journal that you can put all of those pages in? I should just go and look at the website but I thought I would ask you instead you’re right that coat is amazing. I would like one just like it just in my scale. I took a quick look at their website last night, but it was late and I just was looking quickly but I still remember a couple of things I wouldn’t mind adding to my collection thank you so much for giving me something else to spend money on. Both of those sweaters are killer I would love both of them once again in an adult size you talked about fall as being the time when you have a premium on good weather. I look forward to fall. I love the colors. October is my birthday month because August we call it the dog days of summer Because August is hot and humid and when you get about halfway into September, it finally starts to drop into the 70s in the 60s and I could wear sweaters all the time they’re like my favorite thing. Because of the way the seasons run and the way things are stopped most of the craft stores and the fabric stores are putting out Halloween. In fact I don’t know if you have hobby lobby in Canada or not but they already have Christmas out. it seems a little weird although it was only 77 here today it’s going to get hotter, but I do love fall and I would certainly be wearing those sweaters. your taste is excellent.
Oh and no we don’t have a hobby lobby. The closest thing we have is Michael’s. At least, I assume that’s what hobby lobby is like lol!
