I absolutely love when you put the Maplea clothes on American Girl dolls! The camping outfit that you put on kit is the most cute outfit I’ve ever seen. I could just picture my grandma wearing something like that to camp in the 1920’s!!!!! it was so nostalgic seeing that for me!
We have the stuffed animals like the moose 🫎 but as a monkey. We call them sock 🧦 monkeys. I want the Maplea socks and sweater like that because it reminds me of the sock monkey ❤❤❤

All of the outfits are so cute! I placed my first Maplelea order a few days ago. I got the Stampede Style outfit, the Mooncakes outfit, the Belle Soiree dress, a jean jacket, and the pink version of the boots. I'm so excited to dress my girls.
Maplelea shoes are made so well and life like they deserve a display all on their own! I just bought the buckskin boots, they're fabulous! And the story behind them is interesting. I also got the M & Me Asian doll. I was a little afraid she would look exactly like Saila, but she doesn't. She's beautiful.

Your Leonie is so pretty. I have a few ML dolls but no Leonie yet. Having seen this, I'm closer to ordering her (I'm hoping that they will sell her in one of their special "bundles". Also, I cannot agree with you more the quality of their clothes is exceptional. Most items are made with details that you would only see on a life size outfit, for example the dress lining.

I love everything you bought, Blaine! I bought the moose slippers in my last order. They are so cute! I’m sorry I missed out on the special edition Leonie. That outfit is so nice. I received the Grand Connections outfit which my Claudie mold Holiday Pink Stardust doll has been wearing since it arrived a couple of weeks ago. I highly recommend that one. It looks great with her skin tone. My Moana arrives in two days!

I actually think the floral overalls still work very well for the 80s or even the early 90s, pair them with some white converse or keds and some other accessories and it would definitely fit into that time period!!

I love those pajamas and the moose slippers😍. I really appreciate the color palette and the gender neutral aspect of this outfit. That’s one thing that Maplelea does better than AG. Your Maplelea unboxings are so much fun! I don’t know the product line very well at all, so it’s always a fun surprise! The shoes at the end, you were thinking they looked a bit long, once you put a pair if pants in with them, they will look shorter. I think they looked longer because of the cuff on the pj bottoms.
@@melangellperry5984 the slippers are so cute I decided I need the polar bear ones and what’s wrong with me that I didn’t get them in the first place 🤪 Yeah the variety of colors is one of the many wonderful things about Maplelea. 2 of their characters have quite a bit of pink in their wardrobe, but I guess they really push the red colors to show off the Canadiana of it all. Pink has basically become the color of truly me now 😵💫 I’m used to the way the boots look, so I kind of like them long-but I don’t know if the camera is picking it up for others to see. If pants cover that a bit, that’s even better!

The website says that shipping to the US isn't affected by the strike. Log On to their website to read the post. Maplelea clothes are better quality than AG (China made) and with the exchange rate less expensive than AG. I have a lot of their outfits because they use a lot of different colors not just pink and love them all. I also like the added length in the arms. AG tends to cut their outfits a little too tight and the arms a little too short for my taste.
This camp girl is really sweet. I like the colour of the uniform and the fact that it is historically accurate. The Leone face mold is prettier now than the older versions. I am not familiar with this camp at all being in BC, otherwise I may have ordered her. Kit is a perfect AG doll to try this on but I think I prefer it on the MapleLea doll 😃The sister and brother look so precious together. 🥰

Nice outfits I have 2 pairs of the moose slippers and they fit well but I got a different pajama with them.The flowered overalls look better than in the catalogue. We called them high waters lol. The deck shoes look really nice.

I have a pair of moose slippers that I had to alter (wasn't that hard to do, surprisingly) that I bought in the 90s. I think they were made for teddy bears because the were wider and longer. I just took the back apart cut the innersole shorter and restitched them. I also bought the Maplelea moose slippers and their pjs with moose and another pair of OG moose pjs. Lazy One made doll pjs that match kids and adults pjs but not sure if they sell the doll ones anymore. I have some of those with black bears and moose on them. Moose being one of my favorite animals (cats are too) I look for things with moose or cats on them for my dolls.
The comment about not getting the matching pajamas for yourself got me good!! My partner suggests you try removing the laces on the camp shoes then hold the tongue all the way out to see if you can get them on the feet. 🤞 We loved this video and all of the outfits are so cute! I don't know how I missed the moose slippers. I'm going to have to add those to my order next month to use my $25 credit. 😊 I also think the travel outfit looks super good with that orange tshirt. I find that if you loosen the laces all the way down the Stormstomper boots are easier to get on. Probably the same with those shoes. I changed the pink shirt for a light blue one (exact same color blue) with the garden overalls and added pink high top sneakers. I have the moose slippers (bought right after they first came out) and they are adorable.

When I was growing up if your pants were above your ankles people asked you if you were "expecting a flood?". They didn't call the pants "highwaters" or "floods" but those terms mean the same thing. Highwater refers to when the tide is at it's highest point. Probably more common in states with a seacoast.

Stopping @ 30:34 to make a comment. That outfit is on my wishlist. Decided to get it (missed the $25 "reward" to be used in Jan) before I saw this video. Now I know that I need it for my boys. It is cute. I have one problem with Maplelea pants on AG boys and that is that they are too long. I hemmed the gray ones that came with the Maple Cabin Forest sweater set and I can see that these need to be hemmed, too. I don't like the bunched up look of these pants but it is easy to take them up 1/4 to 1/2 inch. For those that don't sew I think you can tuck them under easily enough.
Try the uniform shoes on Kit without the socks. They may be easier to get on. I have the moose pjs and the blue ones with the bear and moose on them (pjs for camping) that I bought last year. Got the moose slippers this year when they first came out. The deer pjs are on my wishlist. I also bought the moose toy with pillow and blanket last year. I have a thing for moose (and cats) so buy most of the doll outfits with those on them. Sock monkeys are the "thing" in the US. Made from socks. I think the moose is fashioned after that. I never had one but many Americans did. I like to mix and match AG, Maplelea, and off brand clothing. I bought the garden overalls but changed out the pink shirt for a light blue one that matches the blue trim exactly. I like to tone down the "too much pink" a bit. AG makes almost everything pink now so I don't buy as much of their clothing. Not as well made as Maplelea and Maplelea is less expensive due to the exchange rate. Prices are better overall but they went up a little as did AG. Looking through the catalogue I think you should buy Rasically Raccoon Nightwear if you have a use for them. They come with a stuffed raccoon and those fuzzy socks like I think you mentioned before. I meant to add that Courtney's Care Bear pjs come with blue fuzzy socks. Forgive me if I'm mixing up who asked about them, I think it was you ?

I recently purchased a vintage Christmas outfit (AG) where the shoes did not fit the doll. That is why perhaps they sold the set. So when you tired to put the Maplelea shoe on I was struggling the same way with those shoes from an AG outfit for a AG doll. So...I hope you don't feel too bad it could have happened with an AG outfit too. I have had new AG coats and shirts not fit my AG dolls either and they had the newer slimmer bodies.

The Scarlet Snow Outfit. The shoes might have fit better if I took off the stockings. As it was I tried to force them on and split the side trying to bring the heal up in the back. I really need to make a shoe horn for the dolls. I did make a pretty necklace to cover the neckline.

If you have Kit's school jumper, the two tone saddle shoes would make a good substitute. The camp uni is very cute! I got my Maplelea order just as you were dressing Kit. I got Saila's kuspuk and her crochet hat and mittens. I also bought the little maple leaf socks. I'm so happy with them. They were mailed from Niagara Falls, NY.

I live in the US. What is happening in Canada with the mailing system? I ordered a catalog but it never came , never shipped. USPS is has some alert at the top of the website saying that Canada is on strike?
@@K775-v5r Canada post is on strike, so everyone is using couriers right now. Since usps passes off to Canada post at the border, they can’t ship to Canada right now 💔
The camp dolls are disappointing, and I’m surprised you bought one. The camp supports “traditional values”. Maplelea claimed they were donating some of the profits back to the camp, but then said the camp paid them to make the dolls. When asked how much was donated back to the camp, their answer was “a good portion”.

@@DisBlaineI mean… I just checked, they use that exact wording on the home page of their website. I’m not okay with supporting organizations that are not LGBTQ affirming. This camp received a “portion” of your purchase price per information directly from Maplelea. The camp has also appropriated First Nations culture by claiming their name is a “Native American word”. There are other problematic things with this camp, but if you’re okay with it, then that’s certainly your choice to make.

Your Leonie is so pretty. I have a few ML dolls but no Leonie yet. Having seen this, I'm closer to ordering her (I'm hoping that they will sell her in one of their special "bundles". Also, I cannot agree with you more the quality of their clothes is exceptional. Most items are made with details that you would only see on a life size outfit, for example the dress lining.

I really like the AG boy dolls and their outfits and buy as many as I can. I don’t have the Maplelea boy outfit and glad to see it fits the AG boy doll.

I received the Grand Connections outfit which my Claudie mold Holiday Pink Stardust doll has been wearing since it arrived a couple of weeks ago. I highly recommend that one. It looks great with her skin tone. My Moana arrives in two days!

I actually think the floral overalls still work very well for the 80s or even the early 90s, pair them with some white converse or keds and some other accessories and it would definitely fit into that time period!!

The shoes at the end, you were thinking they looked a bit long, once you put a pair if pants in with them, they will look shorter. I think they looked longer because of the cuff on the pj bottoms.

Yeah the variety of colors is one of the many wonderful things about Maplelea. 2 of their characters have quite a bit of pink in their wardrobe, but I guess they really push the red colors to show off the Canadiana of it all.

The website says that shipping to the US isn't affected by the strike. Log On to their website to read the post. Maplelea clothes are better quality than AG (China made) and with the exchange rate less expensive than AG. I have a lot of their outfits because they use a lot of different colors not just pink and love them all. I also like the added length in the arms. AG tends to cut their outfits a little too tight and the arms a little too short for my taste.

This camp girl is really sweet. I like the colour of the uniform and the fact that it is historically accurate. The Leone face mold is prettier now than the older versions. I am not familiar with this camp at all being in BC, otherwise I may have ordered her. Kit is a perfect AG doll to try this on but I think I prefer it on the MapleLea doll 😃The sister and brother look so precious together. 🥰

Nice outfits I have 2 pairs of the moose slippers and they fit well but I got a different pajama with them.The flowered overalls look better than in the catalogue. We called them high waters lol. The deck shoes look really nice.

I have a pair of moose slippers that I had to alter (wasn't that hard to do, surprisingly) that I bought in the 90s. I think they were made for teddy bears because the were wider and longer. I just took the back apart cut the innersole shorter and restitched them. I also bought the Maplelea moose slippers and their pjs with moose and another pair of OG moose pjs. Lazy One made doll pjs that match kids and adults pjs but not sure if they sell the doll ones anymore. I have some of those with black bears and moose on them. Moose being one of my favorite animals (cats are too) I look for things with moose or cats on them for my dolls.
The comment about not getting the matching pajamas for yourself got me good!! I was thinking of how I’m going to match my doll in pjs in the next video, and I hear “I’m lame, but I’m not that lame!” 😂😂

My partner suggests you try removing the laces on the camp shoes then hold the tongue all the way out to see if you can get them on the feet. 🤞 We loved this video and all of the outfits are so cute! I find that if you loosen the laces all the way down the Stormstomper boots are easier to get on. Probably the same with those shoes. I changed the pink shirt for a light blue one (exact same color blue) with the garden overalls and added pink high top sneakers. I have the moose slippers (bought right after they first came out) and they are adorable.

When I was growing up if your pants were above your ankles people asked you if you were "expecting a flood?". They didn't call the pants "highwaters" or "floods" but those terms mean the same thing. Highwater refers to when the tide is at it's highest point. Probably more common in states with a seacoast.

Stopping @ 30:34 to make a comment. That outfit is on my wishlist. Decided to get it (missed the $25 "reward" to be used in Jan) before I saw this video. Now I know that I need it for my boys. It is cute. I have one problem with Maplelea pants on AG boys and that is that they are too long. I hemmed the gray ones that came with the Maple Cabin Forest sweater set and I can see that these need to be hemmed, too. I don't like the bunched up look of these pants but it is easy to take them up 1/4 to 1/2 inch. For those that don't sew I think you can tuck them under easily enough.

Try the uniform shoes on Kit without the socks. They may be easier to get on. I have the moose pjs and the blue ones with the bear and moose on them (pjs for camping) that I bought last year. Got the moose slippers this year when they first came out. The deer pjs are on my wishlist. I also bought the moose toy with pillow and blanket last year. I have a thing for moose (and cats) so buy most of the doll outfits with those on them. Sock monkeys are the "thing" in the US. Made from socks. I think the moose is fashioned after that. I never had one but many Americans did. I like to mix and match AG, Maplelea, and off brand clothing. I bought the garden overalls but changed out the pink shirt for a light blue one that matches the blue trim exactly. I like to tone down the "too much pink" a bit. AG makes almost everything pink now so I don't buy as much of their clothing. Not as well made as Maplelea and Maplelea is less expensive due to the exchange rate. Prices are better overall but they went up a little as did AG. Looking through the catalogue I think you should buy Rasically Raccoon Nightwear if you have a use for them. They come with a stuffed raccoon and those fuzzy socks like I think you mentioned before. I meant to add that Courtney's Care Bear pjs come with blue fuzzy socks. Forgive me if I'm mixing up who asked about them, I think it was you ?

I recently purchased a vintage Christmas outfit (AG) where the shoes did not fit the doll. That is why perhaps they sold the set. So when you tired to put the Maplelea shoe on I was struggling the same way with those shoes from an AG outfit for a AG doll. So...I hope you don't feel too bad it could have happened with an AG outfit too. I have had new AG coats and shirts not fit my AG dolls either and they had the newer slimmer bodies.

The Scarlet Snow Outfit. The shoes might have fit better if I took off the stockings. As it was I tried to force them on and split the side trying to bring the heal up in the back. I really need to make a shoe horn for the dolls. I did make a pretty necklace to cover the neckline.

If you have Kit's school jumper, the two tone saddle shoes would make a good substitute. The camp uni is very cute! I got my Maplelea order just as you were dressing Kit. I got Saila's kuspuk and her crochet hat and mittens. I also bought the little maple leaf socks. I'm so happy with them. They were mailed from Niagara Falls, NY.

I live in the US. What is happening in Canada with the mailing system? I ordered a catalog but it never came , never shipped. USPS is has some alert at the top of the website saying that Canada is on strike?

The camp dolls are disappointing, and I’m surprised you bought one. The camp supports “traditional values”. Maplelea claimed they were donating some of the profits back to the camp, but then said the camp paid them to make the dolls. When asked how much was donated back to the camp, their answer was “a good portion”.

@@DisBlaineI mean… I just checked, they use that exact wording on the home page of their website. I’m not okay with supporting organizations that are not LGBTQ affirming. This camp received a “portion” of your purchase price per information directly from Maplelea. The camp has also appropriated First Nations culture by claiming their name is a “Native American word”. There are other problematic things with this camp, but if you’re okay with it, then that’s certainly your choice to make.
