- Hello my friends! I saw Canadian Metal Legends ANVIL at the Space Ballroom in Hamden, CT on April 4, 2023. It was a blast! It was a pleasure meeting the whole band. That night compared to the Story of Anvil Documentary...all I can say is that they have come a long way. Lips & Robb made a pact at age 14 that they'll rock forever. Not only they meant it, but I think they'll do it until their last breath. That's a sign of HOPE.

My band had the pleasure of opening for them on 4/1 in Boston. They were super nice guys and put on a great show.

Anvil has done this since the early 80s dudes. They have struggled the entire fuckin' time and Lips NEVER let that shit die because it's his dream. Seein' them jamming in 2023 is so fucking awesome dude
You know how they released This is Thirteen by themselves? I told they guys in ANVIL that they were better off doing it that way. It sure beats the headaches of trying to be signed. You have to like what you do. It's not about the money.
@@mrcool665 This. 100% These dudes LOVE what they do and it actually hurts my soul that they never got the mansions or the Ferrari's, but they have it rich in the sense they get to live their dream how they want to live it.

@@DrMurdercock It reminded me of when I was in high school. I didn't know what I wanted to do after I graduated. All I wanted to be is in a band. Over the years, I have been in numerous bands. I released my music independently and went on mini tours that we did ourselves. Once you've experienced that, no one can take that away from you.

How many were in attendance. Cool to see them out. I hope to see them one day. Really tough for me to make a weekday show in my city.

A rhythm guitarist again would be great for Anvil live. They were amazing live when they had dual guitars. Just too empty without 2 axes IMO.

They were at the top of their game years ago when they had dual guitars. Song writing was a lot better back then too. Their new stuff just doesn't cut it IMO. All of that weed has turned their brains into jello. LOL.
