Great video. As I am visually impaired I really appreciate the commentary. Some companies just run music over the video, Which is really frustrating.
I bought this kit also the re-colouring balm I am absolutely amazed, my suite is 10yrs old and just too comfy to get rid of , this kit has brought it up like new I’m so glad I bought this , I have watched all the demonstrations from the furniture clinic and thought “why not” £34.99 compared to £3000 plus .. I will definitely buy from them again thank you .
How long should I wait after cleaning before I apply the re-coloring balm? How long after applying the re-coloring balm should I wait before applying the protection cream? Can't wait to try this to see how my furniture looks!
Hi, once the leather is dry after cleaning you can apply our Recolouring Balm. Once you have buffed away any excess balm until the cloth is clean you can then apply the protection cream. I hope this helps.
Hi, thanks for the easy to follow instruction. We have a new leather suit arriving in the week and in preparation I've purchased your care and repair kit. My question is whether I need to use the cleaner before the protector as the leather with be new so should not be marked in any way. Thank you
Hi David, if you're protecting the sofa upon arrival, it isn't absolutely necessary but a light wipe over with the Leather Ultra Clean certainly wouldn't do any harm.
HI is it possible to dilute your product? We bought a dark maroon which am afraid will be too dark and instead of wasting the product newly purchased , was thinking to dilute it to not be so dark?? I know :((
@@FurnitureClinic thanks the bag is more camel like but my daughter bought dark maroon as she had an oil stain on her bag with a sun cream that leaked and left a darker patch , any solution to propose?? thanks
Hi, I need some advise on products and what to use on my leather sofa. I've just had a restoration on my three piece and had the colour sprayed back on as my suit was becoming patchy. Which products are safe to use after a restoration and when is best to clean my sofa as I have children...?
Hi, our Leather Cleaner and Protector are suitable for all types of leather. The Leather Ultra Clean with clean deeply ingrained dirt & grime, without causing any damage. The Leather Protection Cream will help protect against staining, as well as general wear & tear.
Any tips for getting wax out of light brown Italian distressed leather sofa? I have removed the wax and blotted using a hair dryer but the darker marks where the wax got into the leather remain
Hi, if this has left a dark mark on the leather is it likely to be grease. If this is just on the top surface of the leather, we recommend using Liquid Leather Degreaser. I hope this helps.
@@FurnitureClinic thanks does the degreaser work much differently to the cleaner? I used the cleaner but it didn't work at removing the soaked in stains.
@@ajamesbest Hi, yes it is a different product. The degrease draws out any oils or grease that have penetrated the leather. A cleaner will only clean the surface. I hope this helps.
Hi! Can I use water dampened cloth to clean my sofa weekly to remove dust? Some people suggest not to clean leather with water which may result in cracking of the leather in long term.
Hi, thanks for your comment. To simply remove dust from the surface, a dry microfibre cloth will be suitable. If you are looking to clean any dirt from the leather, we would recommend that you use a specialist cleaner, such as the Ultra Clean, every 3months.
Can anyone tell me how many times I can use the degreaser in this range please? I am trying to remove head and hand grease markets but it is not working... I have treated the areas 4 times over this week as advised in the tub. It is getting lighter but am concerned that I may be harming the leather
Hi Jan, the leather degreaser is designed to remove any oil from leather without causing damage. We are concerned about why it isn't working on your item(s). Can you send us photos via email? enquiries@furnitureclinic.co.uk
We sell a Leather Degreaser that draws out oil and grease stains from leather. Unfortunately, we can't guarantee that it will not remove some of the colour, however, it can easily be restored using a Leather Re-Colouring Balm or Leather Colourant Kit.
