I very much agree with your review. We went once 6 years ago and will never go back lol. The food was terrible. My chicken was dryyyy. Even my daughter wouldn’t eat her Dino nuggets. We recently went to a rainforest cafe and it was the same experience. 1 and done for us!
I listen to your podcasts all the time. And I love the podcasts. (Sometimes you talk really fast though and it’s hard to understand…. Just a little advice from a loving fan). But these UA-cam videos are the best - seeing you guys is the icing on an already delicious cake!!!!! Thanks for another great video.
My family has only eaten at T-Rex once about 11 years ago and we were not really impressed at all. We all absolutely love Rainforest Cafe though and we used to eat there every time we would go to Disney because the nearest one to where we live is two and a half hours away in Nashville. We haven't even been there though the last few times we've went. I do love the kids cups to take with me though (maybe not at the restaurant though because they would have to fill it constantly 😂). I use them to drink my juice in the mornings when I get home & it's a free "souvenir." lol
Love, love, love the honesty 🤣🤣 really appreciate it. We probably wouldn’t consider this one anyway as our daughter is older now and we would rather try another restaurant at Disney Springs. Pre daughter back in 2009 we came to Florida with my sister in law and her children and they loved it 🤣 they were v young though and maybe it was much cheaper back then 🤣 definitely one for us to miss. I hope more people do the same so that the restaurant has to up its game. It’s sad really as it could be such a fun place to everyone but the food needs to be good. And that line/check in system 😵 wow!!!! Thanks again 😃 xxxxx
Oh my, Dan is so funny with his commentary. "I don't want to add spare ribs!" We've been there twice, and I agree 100% with your review, you nailed it.
Thank you very much for doing this review 😭❤️😭. This would be a great "a second or a third time....maybe" because of the 🦕 🦖 . My son doesn't mind leaving food behind...he would just stare at the non moving 🦖 🦕 all day. His twin sister would just run away for cover.......Ha! Definitely a fun family dinning experience for the younglings....Ha..Ha...Ha.. 🤣
Dan could seriously not get out of that restaurant fast enough! Leslie is trying real hard to find the "good" in it all! BAHAHAHAHA!!! The whole line thing would've pushed me over the edge. I'd have given it a zero and left, so kudos for even sticking that part out.
We visited this restaurant when it first opened and it was bad then! So we have never ever returned and by seeing your review we still won’t be going back! Splitsville is wayyyyy better if you want lots of food options 😀 thx for sharing 👍🏻
Thank you for the honest review. I’ve always wanted to go because of the dinosaurs 🦕 but I think I will pass now. I went to Rainforest four years ago and felt my money could have been spent better somewhere else but I know it’s more about the theming.
Yeah the theming is all that’s keeping this place going. I would definitely suggest stepping in to check that out and then eating lunch somewhere else 😂
I have a 2 year old little boy. We will most likely try to go here or rainforest just Because I know he’s going to have a blast! And you know what. It may not be the BEST food. But it will get the job done. My tummy full. A nice time to sit down. And a happy 2 year old. That’s what I need it!
I recall the time we went a 4 years ago and it was way to loud! Food was good but nothing spectacular. I would not be visiting here again if I get down there. With all the noise I was ready to get out of there!
@@AddictedtotheMouse Lol no worries! We just started watching your videos to prep for our trip in March and the first thing my husband said was, "Where did he get his shirt?"
Aidan might like to know that my daughter got a Mickey straw with her water at Yachtsman’s Steakhouse right after she ordered an alcoholic drink. She was 22 at the time. She was not impressed.
Good review on your particular visit though checking Trip Advisor you’ll find (as of 8/27/22) that there are over 12,000 reviews of which almost 10,000 are Excellent to Very Good. There are about 1100 Poor to Terrible. About 1500 average. So……. We have 1 very well produced review versus approximately 75% favorable reviews from over the years. My personal experience from 2 years ago was definitely closer to the good/ average. After all it’s Disney! Everything is over priced! We go there knowing that.
I mean, anyone is welcome to believe any review they want, but on that particular day it was not only overpriced but sub-par for sure. Maybe it was off-days the three times we have eaten there. Or maybe guests are giving them passes because they know what they’re getting into (and it’s not fine dining). At any rate, our review was honest and we aren’t arguing with anyone that has a different experience. All of that said, thank you for the compliment on the quality of our video!!!
Nothing wrong with the occasional well themed Chili's. I would 100% go here before Space 220 again. At least their mediocre food is at a much more reasonable price point. Plus, dinosaurs 🦕 are fun. 🤷♀️
I do have to say we've only ever eaten in the Ice Cave section before with full dinosaur interaction so...we also stay away from the "purely presentation desserts 🍨 " and stick with things like burgers 🍔. Don't try to get fancy there, Mr.Cobb salad. 🤣 You get that at The Brown Derby. Get a Landry's card. That's who they care about, and you can skip all that text/line business. It works for Yak and Yeti and their other restaurants too. But service is never excellent there. It is usually 3 star-like a Chili's. Sorry you seemed to have a much worse than typical experience there.
That kind of theming is very loud and overstimulating for many kids like my son with autism. The theming can be a positive or a negative there, which could greatly reduce the score.
I was going to swear off watching y'all's videos if you liked T-Rex. It's the restaurant version of South of the border (aka an overpriced tourist trap that's hyped for zero reason). Goodness, I live in the land of Landry establishments and I could recommend so few. Wretched service and horribly overpriced. That said, love your videos as usual.
While I do respect your opinion, everybody's experience is different. It's sad that you had a bad experience. You should've said something so they could change it
Dan’s expressions were hilarious!
It was fun to get the kids’ perspectives. The dino cup for Aiden… XD
I love your honesty!
😂😂😂
Thank you for your very honest review. So glad I had the opportunity to bump into you on your way to the restaurant.
Thanks so much for saying hi!!!

Yes yes yes!
you guys really sold me on this one.....🤣....Leslie, you know our taste.....no help needed booking this one in December. 🤭
😂😂😂
I love that you guys are honest lol
Thank you for the humor and horrible experience lol! Your son's reaction to the kid's cup was priceless. I give you all a 10 for the 2.5 star review!
🙏🙏
Went went in June and everything was lovely on 2 separate occasions 🤷🏼♂️
Dan had me cracking up before we even got to the restaurant on this one!
You guys are hilarious...thanks for your honest review. We need more u tube channels to step up their game and be honest about the food reviews .
🙏🙏🙏

I had a very similar experience at Rainforest Cafe. Sad. Thanks for the review!

Agreed!!
It's a good thing we are moving to Orlando 😂we cN go and plan to wait lol
"I would first like to apologize to Applebee's and Chili's" Bahahaha
Seriously 🤣🤣🤣

🙏
This is EXACTLY how we felt! We were so excited about the theming and the food was sooo baaad!
😂😂
Thanks for taking one for the team, Dan! LOL We can see this was a struggle and it's much appreciated.
🤣🤣
I’ve been two times and both were actually delightful! I’d 100% go here over Space 220 any day!
Lol, yeah, us too.
We had a great experience as well the food was pretty good way better than a Applebee's or or chili's for sure! But to each his own.

Y’all are a hoot. I’ve steered a few away from here for sure…
😂😂

You’re not wrong about Splitsville!
I’m a Orlando local and got reservations to take my 2 year old (he loves dinosaurs) but now prepared for meh food. Thanks
Well he should at least love the dinosaurs 🤗
@@AddictedtotheMouse I’m trying to switch it to chef Mickey’s now! Lol! Trying to squeeze a few fun things in with my toddler before baby #2 comes.
@@coles5243 congratulations!
@@AddictedtotheMouse thank you!! :))
Well I eat there this year and the food was great
Glad you liked it!

Rain Forest Cafe vs T Rex. What is better?
Basically the same. Just pick which theming your like
I loved the restaurant. My opinion
I recall the time we went a 4 years ago and it was way to loud! Food was good but nothing spectacular. I would not be visiting here again if I get down there. With all the noise I was ready to get out of there!
We had a bad experience there. I had the bqq chicken, and dad got a burger, and we both got food poisoning.
That’s not good
Ok but the real question is, where did Dan get the shirt he is wearing??
Lol, it was a gift from years ago. Best guess is Etsy. Sorry!!
@@AddictedtotheMouse Lol no worries! We just started watching your videos to prep for our trip in March and the first thing my husband said was, "Where did he get his shirt?"
I definitely don’t blame you if you never went back there again especially at those prices !
Yeah, I don’t see Trex in our future any time soon
Agree 👍 Way better restaurants in Springs to spend that much $.

Lol, I’m not sure the typical experience here is much better. Shouldn’t have to have a card to get decent service.

You’re 100% right, everyone’s experience is different.
Maybe you should just stick to your gourmet squid.
Lost me on that one 🤷♂️
Rain forest and t Tex both ghetto and zero food quality , it’s fast food with a server
Like, like, like, like.... please are there NO kids that don't use this as every other word any more?
Nope!
