80´s- the golden era of everything
@Seeker's GuidePost cowhat???;)
@Jonathan Neufeld Best year ever. Cheers mate!
Except that pesky AIDS thing
It was truly cool. Nancy Reagan sat on Mr. T’s lap. Shit was fire
Except for the aids thing, politics & mistreatment of gay people!!
The 80's were a better future than today.
The 40's is were I want to be
Well-said
better? it was peak humanity! Humanity will never reach the level of the 80s greatness again!
You got that shit right man damn what happened
I miss the hell out of the future that never happened. And I was born in 1980. Hugs to everyone. While I escape this violence in the Ferrari
As much as I love synthwave, there aren't enough groups who actually have lyrics to their music. It really makes you guys stand out, thanks for giving me countless songs to jam throughout my day.
I may bit a bit late to the party but if you're still interested in more vocals try The Midnight, Trevor Something, NINA and Essenger, few of my favourite, more vocal focused synth artists :)
@@Aussie_Tom I'm always in the mood for good synthwave. Thank you friend :)
Midnight is highly overrated... Try LeBrock.
I wouldn't say The Midnight are overrated, more oversaturated, they're still a great band, they've just become a meme within the community because they became a 'gateway drug' of sorts to the genre.
+1 for LeBrock though.
You could try FM-84 as well
We need some Gunship for GTA6 Radio!
I'd give anything to go back to the 80s and be a little kid again. It was so much fun. These videos bring back memories.
Now we got cyberpunk and the space 2080's to look foreword too, bruh.
I was living back in those days too. I feel that as we get older we seem to forget about the bad times and only remember the good ones. We thus greatly embellish that decade. But I must say, some of the greatest music ever came from that period.
@@loublack222my life was complete in the 80s
It's never good to dwell in the past. You should live life in the present moment. Future and past shouldn't be something to spend your life thinking too much about because it's not good for your health.
"I wish I could turn the clock back
Back to when I was 10
When I wasn't scared of everything, and
Everything wasn't so fxn crowded." - The Broadways, "15 Minutes"
80s must be best decade in human history..... fashion, movies, cars, sports, even people, were soooo cool
Being raised in the 80’s as a teenager, it was great 👍. The only problem is that you don’t realise it back then 😐
@Creamapera I am only 15 but do understand some parts were different for each person. 1986 was great for my dad he said
Agreed. No Coronavirus, no mass shootings constantly, and more civil aesthetic where people wouldn't act like zombies
disagree - the 70s was the best decade but the 80s were important because they transitioned the analog world into the modern digital world
let`s not forget the music, the 80`s are still the best
"how do you go from this tranquility to that violence ......i usually take the ferrari " has to be one of the greatest openings to a video ever !
**Insert sigma meme**🗿
Your post says quite a lot about your experience with video. I understand you were a minor while writing. Have you been? And if so, write whether you maintain these experiences as an adult. You can prove that you can be an adult child. Or break free. This is important. If you can understand the difference...Video, life, video, life etc.
Agreed

"I usually take the Ferrari" pure gold
My dad lived in the 80's. It wasn't all glamorous and stuff. He said it was the most violent time in his life and that was him saying that after being a cop for 29 years. He was in the military from 82 to 87. Lots and lots of fights He got into. Broke his nose 3 times during that time.
He said he do it all again.
You had a good Father!
@@clockworkorange5588 Thanks He is.

Can someone please make a petition to have all the worlds money invested into making a time machine that takes everyone back to the 80's? Only thing we bring with us is this music!
Nice~I'll contribute to that poll...; )
But if we would do that we would already traveled to the 80s, so we already did it we just choose not to say anything
Hell yes…
The cars too

Before the internet. What a time.
I was born in '77 and was so lucky to have my childhood in the 80's and teenage years in the 90's, before innocence and carefree memories were taken away by smart phones, etc.
I'm so glad I have the memories of the time before the onslaught of technology and what the world has become.
The world wasn't perfect, but it was a lot better than today.
I would go back in a heartbeat
Same me 👍
I was born in 1974, amazing memories, greetings ❤
Miami was a cesspool of violence during the early 80's. Drug violence. It was also a time of beautiful Women, beautiful cars, beautiful music...much like this awesome song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The culture in general was more "normal" then. Women were not averse to dressing up sexy, and men seemed encouraged to pursue them. I thought as a kid just coming into junior high in the late '80s that this would be American culture forever. Women in mini dresses and high heels with big teased hairdos, men in pastel shirts and white blazers or sharp suits with thin ties.Styles change, though, and by the time I graduated high school, men and women were basically all wearing Doc Marten boots and flannel shirts.
@@whoami7721 "Women were not averse to dressing up sexy, and men seemed encouraged to pursue them." -- How is that NOT the case today, even more so?!

I love the old lady in the background at 3:12, when the woman bends over. Her reaction is priceless xD

She is my grandmum 😂😂
Funny thing is that that scene is actually from Knight Rider, not Miami Vice... "Dead of Knight", Season 3... there are two scenes of the same girl dancing in this... one was to a horrible cover of "Rebel Yell". So many of the same songs were in both shows, only the KR producers cheaped out and used covers.

The 80's, when everything was more simpler. And nicer.

Had this blasting from my 944 turbo tonite as I was heading downtown at sunset. Sheer bliss!
You want to feel the true emotions of the 80's through music. Gunship can just about virtually takes you there with Music. Like an Auditory Time Machine
Cannonball Run was one of my favorites as a kid. Lamborghini Countach's and synthwave are a match made in heaven.

I lived in Miami back then ,the Art deco area just dying then this came out and totally revived the area , as a Brit amazing place to live and I learnt to drive on I-95 , then Miami became Neon and Miami Vice ,one of my all time favourites came out and the music as well
I've spread it to many friends of mine as we all are 80's-addicted and all of them found it amazing. It's truly awesome I miss the right words to put it out!
