I think that Stolas just wants someone to want him. Any semblance of that is close enough to be good enough. Blitz is shit in bed, but at least he was in Stolas' bed. (which is sad as all hell) And Stolas being over the moon with Blitz just showing up (but Blitz thinking its because of his ability) probs inflated Blitz's confidence in that department.

I don't know if that was an intentional thing or just an animator switch because there are separate people on FX (who would have done the fire) than the normal animators (who would've done the match). The match flame is the same color on both sides, only the fire afterward is different, but doesn’t seem different enough to be 100% intentional
