As a lifelong Chelsea fan I love Didier Drogba, he was terrific for us, and from what I've read about him outside football, he's been terrific in the Ivory Coast with charity work. Top man.
Ending it on "it was the way it was supposed to happen", nicely worded. Mourinho at Madrid said something similar, although phrased as a question instead, after saying his career would be over if he answered honestly about the first leg. You can't "fix" a football match, too much can happen, but you can tilt decisions to one side or another, a soft call here, a missed offside there. When that side is the best side in the world, you generally don't have to tilt it very much. The Barcelona of this era were called uefalona for a reason, but if not for the Chelsea match, we might not have noticed. No team played so well against them that they needed that much help other than Chelsea. After the loss to Bayern a few years later, the uefalona era began to slow down, UEFA's obsession with creating that Real and Barca final seemed to drop, and ever since Luis Enrique stepped down, they don't seem to get much help at all. This isn't specific to Barca though, its just based around which teams bring in the most viewers in high revenue competitions, the CL and the World Cup. Since 2018, other sides have been getting the help (still feel a bit bad for Roma, there) because thats where the money is now. I doubt the players know, maybe the managers don't even know. Its a commercial interest, no reason to tell them.
If it can happen to la liga, it can happen to champions league and EPL or any other leagues. These days it is Man City and their oil money bribing the referees.

Uefa didn't want a repeat of two English finals consecutively after United had qualified for the final . It would have been great seeing Che vs Utd in 2008 and same in 2009
It was one frustrating day that I wouldn't 4get so far. So hard, cuz bettin plataform of corruption wanted M against R at the end/ in final. So hard!!!
Mistakes against Barca: 1st leg: Eto'o 1vs1 on the keeper wrongly offside, 110% penalty on Henry not given, Ballack not sent off for elbow in the face 2nd yellow at least. 2nd leg: Ballack handball - penalty not given, no-contact red card for Abidal minute 65 - so Barca down to 10 men for half an hour, Drogba kicks Pique in the guts - not a red. Mistakes against Chelsea only happened in 2nd leg: handball of Pique - penalty, possible penalty on Drogba as well, but he dived forwards after being slightly puilled backwards... (Eto'o "handball" was a deltoid - legal to play) So overall we have about 6 mistakes helping Chelsea (including 2 penalties and 3 red cards) and about 2 mistakes (2 penalties) helping Barcelona.
He did a really nice job of explaining the fact that they robbed Barcelona in the first leg away. I believe that deep down, like most of Chelsea fans that have chosen to have selective amnesia and pretend like the first leg did not happen, he knows the truth but would rather not admit it in public.

As a lifelong Chelsea fan I love Didier Drogba, he was terrific for us, and from what I've read about him outside football, he's been terrific in the Ivory Coast with charity work. Top man.
Great man.
Big big baller! Always turned up in the big games and always destroyed arse nal😂😂
D.drogba you the one who made me love Chelsea.even I nicknamed my first son drogba.so, I feel happy when I see you commenting on Chelsea.
It was always us Chelsea who gave barcelona tension always
so weird seeing this legend without hair 😊❤❤
It was the biggest injustice in sports history.
I sat next to one of those offiials and shared some spirits and snuff at a Fulham game. Legendary referees.
You gotta love drogba ❤
Drogba himself has moved past it yet you’re still blind to the decisions made in the 1st leg, the delusion.
Sure bro. But Barca were caught paying refs. So it's different for their case.
@@trip_t2122 caught isn't the same as charged but ok. Also that was only for la liga not for champions league.
@@josea1707 👍
If it can happen to la liga, it can happen to champions league and EPL or any other leagues. These days it is Man City and their oil money bribing the referees.
Biggest robbery of all time. Shame to the referee, he made many Chelsea fans cry that night
Big yes .
We were r...obbed.
Respect, Drogba absoluut Legend
A wise man once said "this is disgrace"
Didier is a legend and is in Chelsea fans hearts forever
The guy asking the question doesn't even know who was sent off, and still has the guts to question the biggest robbery of the decade.
As a Barca fan Chelsea did get robbed
Everyone needs to know this.

These "goals" include ending private car ownership and the availability of meat for regular people, also the creation of "15-minute cities - which are basically digital prisons for normal people, while the elite fly in private jets.
Drogba is mates with Bill Gates who has openly spoken about the need to reduce the population of the world.
U know nothing
I remember watching the game live & to be honest it was a disgrace clearly Chelsea had a few penalty claims that where not given that should have been
Didier Bleuwu. Legend!
Chelsea fan here. Parking the bus will always be our team mantra.
you're not a Chelsea fan , and your comment is very low
Parking the bus was our mantra under Jose and I admired it as a dark art but to say it will always be our mantra... Have you seen Chelsea at all in the past decade? Managers come and go and bring in various styles of play. Wake up son

Drogba, Lamps, Terry, Mikel need a statue at the bridge
Drogba legende for life
My Drobga my legend
It was a robbery and that's a fact.
and here we are all them years later, seeing Barcelona being investogated for paying Referees.
Uefa didn't want a repeat of two English finals consecutively after United had qualified for the final . It would have been great seeing Che vs Utd in 2008 and same in 2009
My legend deserves a statue outside Stamford Bridge!💙
It was one frustrating day that I wouldn't 4get so far. So hard, cuz bettin plataform of corruption wanted M against R at the end/ in final.
So hard!!!
Bravo Drogba ❤ , Drogba adalah straiker chelsea yang saya kagumi, Drogba 🙇😓🙏
When that dude started his question by saying he was an Arsenal fan, i immediately knew he was going to ask a stupid question.
As a Barca fan, I feel the Chelsea fans.
I really wanted him to get up and leave shouting “it’s a f*cking disgrace!”
my hero!
One of the GOATS🎉
And yes we were ROBBED
That Bodybuilder was paid handsomely for an early retirement
what a man!
Mistakes against Barca:
1st leg: Eto'o 1vs1 on the keeper wrongly offside, 110% penalty on Henry not given, Ballack not sent off for elbow in the face 2nd yellow at least.
2nd leg: Ballack handball - penalty not given, no-contact red card for Abidal minute 65 - so Barca down to 10 men for half an hour, Drogba kicks Pique in the guts - not a red.
Mistakes against Chelsea only happened in 2nd leg:
handball of Pique - penalty, possible penalty on Drogba as well, but he dived forwards after being slightly puilled backwards...
(Eto'o "handball" was a deltoid - legal to play)
So overall we have about 6 mistakes helping Chelsea (including 2 penalties and 3 red cards) and about 2 mistakes (2 penalties) helping Barcelona.
They keep crying. Barca won fairly
Respect 🫡
He did a really nice job of explaining the fact that they robbed Barcelona in the first leg away. I believe that deep down, like most of Chelsea fans that have chosen to have selective amnesia and pretend like the first leg did not happen, he knows the truth but would rather not admit it in public.
Varcelona is nowhere to be found 🤣🤣🤣
They used to be uefalona
Tell me who has won more since the introduction of VAR, which happened right after that 2017 bayern Madrid game??
after var:madrid 1ucl barca:0cl
@@josea1707obviously not the barka dogs who were bribing refs left right and center

the fact that the barca fan had to ask if it was a robbery when it was clearly a fucking ROBBERY making me confused lol. you literally have to be blind to not think that the referee helped barca go to the final and the fact that people still celebrated that champions league title shows that they are shameless.
October 2023 and barca have been indicted for paying refs

Barcelona Mafia in action
Didier is forever a Chelsea Legend and Hero.
Drogba the answer was straight yes that's y up to this day corruption still live in football
The match that made me open my eyes to Barcelona and their Scandals and fraud and game tampering: since then everything of theirs is TAINTED to me
Now they can't buy refs anymore thank to VAR applications n see how they r suffering.Messi can return but they will keep suffering
Penaldog the fraud fans
They still fix matches even with var. Lots of bad decisions.
Ofcourse its alot less then back then. I dont think a fixed match like the chelsea vs barca could be posible nowadays.
Didier was 100%.
That was a fk disgrace.
Manchester City begs to differ. Buying VAR refs exists too genius

💙💙💙
Interesting knowing the issues that are now being exposed with buying off referees in Spain. Let’s not forget what happed to Nottingham Forest in their European Cup final.
he is only being humble now cuz he eventually won it. but if he had not won it am sure his answer would have been different
Rumour has it that Ballack is still chasing referee smashing his arm! At least, one blatant penalty in that match.
Respect

Chelsea fans always try to avoid what happened in the first leg and how the ref still tried to mess Barca up in the second leg, we were 10 men down due to a manufactured red card and they couldn't still win.. Lol
Don't mind these cry babies
Referee was paid off. He retired after this game
I became a Chelsea fun because of drogba
