This one is long overdue. I've wanted to cover this track (and Splatoon music in general) since the beginning. I just could never find a good time for it. When Splatoon 3 was announced in a Nintendo Direct and I heard the new arrangement of Splattack, I just knew it was the perfect time.
I asked my good friend NoteBlock if he wanted to contribute some synths as well as his amazing arranging skills to the cover, and man, I'm so glad I did. We really collaborated on this arrangement and combined our styles to the best of our ability. We combined versions of Splattack from all 3 games as well as some nods to other tracks to make what I hope is a good celebration of the entire trilogy. I hope fans of Splatoon like what we did with it!
This video actually marks the debut of my new 8-string guitar on my channel! I held off for a long time on getting one because I didn't feel like I needed to go any lower than what I could do on my 7-string. However, I'm really happy I got one because that low F# string actually comes in handy in a lot of situations. It'll take a little while to get used to, but I'm really liking it so far.

That bass, all of the little references to other versions of the song, this is AMAZING work! The slow part with the piano building up to Calamari Inkantation is so cathartic for me as a die-hard Splatoon fan and I LOVE it! I cannot stress this enough, this is amazing stuff. You’ve earned a sub!
