What a wonderful and comprehensive interview! Loved the atmosphere during the interview. Devora is so open and authentic, and I'm proud to say Lae'zel has been my girl and constant companion from the beginning. Thank you for this interview and for including my question. 💕💜 Not afraid of being a B**** 💪🏼 Yes you go girl
I'm a big fan of Lae'zel from our first meet on first playthrough and love so much Dev and her iconic streams! thank you for this interview! 💚 and I love how Dev always support and approves shadowzel 💞
Dev's streams are so much fun! It's great to see the actors embrace the game and the community. This game is a generational phenomenon and the people who made it all possible are sweet and help underlining the humanity in the game. Thx for the great interview with Devora! Cheers!!
Thanks for the interview! 🎉 You can tell that the interviewer is a genuine fan and actually asked questions related to what Dev is up to rather than the usual general questions that they've answered so many times. Thanks to both for doing this!
I’m so happy I’ve been able to enjoy Dev’s brilliant acting as Lae’zel! I really look forward to her playthroughs with Grace. Thanks for this interview! ☺️
Devora's performance is my favorite and Lae'zel is my favorite character! That angry space frog warrior had me at the first backflip and "ABOMINATION!" Started a new playthru to romance Lae'zel and it is the best!!
Laezel is my favourite companion. I love her story arc as she goes from fanatic to sceptic to rebel. Once you get past her gruff exterior, she is quite sweet. Oh, and to take a cheap shot, her sex scene is second only to Minthara’s when it comes to raising a temperature in the room.
I was so annoyed with Laezel at first but by the end of my first play through she became the love of my gaming life. Isn't that how all great love stories begin? I had to immediately start a new run when I finished my first because I had so many regrets for choosing Shadowheart in our love triangle drama in Act 2. In my 2nd run, there was a scene in Act 3 that moved me like no other scene in any movie or game or book ever moved me. I won't detail it here cuz spoilers. Just know that romancing Laezel has a huge emotional and touching payoff in the endgame that is even more awesome than triple attacks on a 12th level Battle Master. Thank you Devora for giving us such an amazing character and being such an amazing person!
I was one of them that hated Lae'zel in early access, and even in my first play through after release. But, on my 2nd run, I decided to give her a go as my main martial class in the party and it was one of my favorites. I now LOVE her character so much after learning her whole story. I also watch Devora's streams and have a lot of fun watching them. I was present to see her love of Raynch bloom.
Lae'zel has been my favorite companion since my first interaction with her in playthrough 1. Such a wonderful companion. Wilde did a phenomenal job voicing her.
Lae'zel was my first charaters love interest. As a half orc monk who became a monk to temper his inherent rage it made sense that he would be attracted to her. He had one of the most touching moments with her in the city where she admited her appreciation for the material plane that she in the begining expressed distain. Best character arc IMHO.
I hated lae'zel for the first half of act 1 but all of that changed in the mountain pass when her arc hits. Then she became my favorite. Devora did a fantastic job!
The thing is that a year after launch, you wonderful actors are not getting paid, at least not for your BG3 work. I guess that many, if not all, of you are busy acting in other roles. The streams and the Conventions etc., are all name recognition for you. The community wants you to go on forever. I finished once and I have nearly finished a 2nd run, but then I realised that I needed a better computer to get the most out of it, especially Act 3. The beauty of watching you and other actors playing the game is a bit like watching a few brave souls who are playing the game first time around on stream. You are all experiencing the game and emotions for real, just as we all did that very first time. Love Lae'zel, she is my real life story in so many ways. I think that many of the characters, especially the Origin characters do carry a lot of the features of the VAs.
@@BehindTheVoicePod I hope so. But I still don't think that they are neccessarily being paid extra for all the conventions, panels, streams, etc. that they are still doing. Perhaps you know better?
@@Jules_Diplopia for panels and conventions? Ya they do get paid for that. They get booked for it. As for streams, since they have such a big audience, they get paid based on subscriptions and ads running on that platform. All of them stream on Twitch. So they def get paid there
As abrasive as she is, she has your back without question from day one. (Except for the obvious not liking the brain worm.) She's loyal, she'll tell you what's right and wrong morally straight to your face, she's like that militant, one-goal and unhindered determination that will get you and your party through the horrors around you. If you appreciate honesty, you'll appreciate Lae'zel. She even tells you if you start to turn, she *will* kill you and the others and then herself. Highly recommend Dev's streams
I'd argue out of all the companions lazael has the best character building in the entire game Btw the gaming community can be bad, but that's mostly cod players and similar...rpg fans are chill mostly and older and more mature on avg
@@BehindTheVoicePod I didn't say you were telling her to do something. I asked why are you trying to talk her out of playing it. That is a big difference.
Only thing 'wrong' with Lae'zel is the possible path where the evidence her god isn't worthy of her has piled up hugely but the blinkers are on too firmly. Similar problem with Shadowheart and in my first playthrough both of them were a bit spoiled by that. Still great character, but much harder to really like them when they take that path of wilful stupidity.
I have always loved Laezel but she is very rude and I have ended her existence many times. I have yet to romance her and I know she's a big softie really but she's so rude at the start it's very hard for me not to remover her from this world. Like even at the Creche she's like "PUT THE ARTEFACT ON THE THING OR FEEL MY WRATH" bro come at me, I can quite literally one shot you.
Romancing her is 100% worth it. She gradually goes from mean to sweet and protective. Definitely earned the popular nickname of Bae’zel.
That is true
For sure, Bae'zel for the win!
Her performance is one of my favorites ever. Such a genuinely kind and funny human, I love her streams! Thanks for having her on!
Thank you so much for watching. She is genuinely so awesome and kind
