@@roaring20spennies Im a 15 year old male. I consider those people absolutely digsusting. Love isn't just things like that, but i have noticed that many males think that way. I think there are many aspects to love, and many different kinds of love. With your partner for example, looks isn't everything. Personality plays a major part.
a 14 hour phone call felt like a minute, and after all that time we couldn't hang up. There was such a strong silent connection, It couldn't have been anything but love.
Most of these answer the question “what does it mean to love/be loved” and NOT “to be IN love”. Those are two very different things. To love is always good. To be in love doesn’t even mean necessarily to be happy, and it’s not even necessarily the end game. The end game is to love and be loved and beware of being in love without loving/being loved.
This is the issue I have. While all of these are beautiful definitions, love is not always glitz and glam. It can be to support and care for someone with a terminal illness, stay with someone despite being betrayed, wake up every day next to someone who has forgotten you due to amnesia or dementia. Love is not always so positive
To be in love to me is to see the other person happy and setting their needs above your own. It's not about yourself and your ego, it's all about the other person.
For me, being in love means having unconditional love for someone. I believe that liking someone/having a crush on someone is not the same thing as being in love. You can be attracted to someone, but not be in love with them! Being in love with someone means sacrificing your own needs and feelings for that person. It’s about learning to having trust and commitment, while knowing full well that you may be hurt at the end. It’s wanting to go through life with them no matter what happens, even if you face the worst. (like your partner bring in a coma, loss of a job, loss of money, your crush loving someone else, your spouse having amnesia, etc.) It may feel like having butterflies in your stomach at first, but later it will mature into something greater and the truth is most people aren’t committed enough to reach that point. It’s the feeling of going so far for them that you would die for them! And most importantly, it’s accepting and loving someone’s bad and good equally. It’s definitely a difficult thing, but I do believe some people can find it! However, it will never for a cake walk for anyone! Loving someone comes with time and maturity with them and/or oneself. However, take what was said with a grain of salt because everyone’s definition of love is different. Plus I’m honestly also still a teenager, so I don’t believe I have actually experienced these things. I don’t even think I’m qualified to even talk about it, since I don’t have the maturity to talk about it yet. However, this kind of love is a love that I want to feel with someone someday. I’m not ignorant to the pain it may bring, but wanting love that is true means accepting pain whether we like to admit it or not.
Being loved means you known the person well enough like really known each other like a best friend and accept someone as they are with all flaws and mistakes. Also you are willing to give anything you have and can by sharing happiness. It means to understand each other well enough and feeling each other pain, happiness, sadness and joy. It also means being a communicator and being able to know each other well.
The Jian, also known as “the bird that shares wings,” only possesses one wing. Unless a male and female pair lean on each other and act as one, they’re incapable of flight. They’re imperfect, incomplete creatures. But, for some reason, their way of life, struck me as profoundly beautiful.
To be with someone who understands your problems and what you're going through. And someone who is willing to help you through very hard times in life and to have someone stand by your side through good and bad.
It means to want someone to be happy and to be willing to let them go. I have come to terms with the fact that when you love someone u want them to be happy even if its not with you and you will do anything and be anything that person needs even if that means being their best friend
Humans are so diverse like it's crazy how different all these women are. This made me think of how limited we are in media in terms of representing difference as far as we can because it is there. Having them come after another consecutively like that really makes you realize that as society we have been robbed of seeing such diversity on and in mainstream channels like Hollywood movies🤭. I'm here for this representation👏🏾
More and more complex views on what being in love is. It's also interesting how the 30+-year-olds with less experience with being in love viewed themselves as unqualified to explain it while the younger ones with less experience with didn't.
To love someone and to believe they are your best friend. To accept you for who you are. To be yourself and not think you’ll be embarrassed. To know that you’ll never be lonely without them.
Being in love means having that feeling you feel in your stomach when the roller coaster is going down and smilling whenever you are thinking of your crush
For me wht it means to be in love is: U get hurt and u hurt the other person u hate tht u love them too it makes u insecure and it makes u look down on ur self.. but the right person cn make u stronger.. it means ur happy and not faking ur happiness and u feel special and yk u want to spend the rest of ur life with someone.. and yk tht said person wants to be with u their whole life too
To understand not every second with your partner is going to be perfect, yet want to take the best care of them as you can. To want the absolute best for them, even if it isn't the best for you. To accept them for their imperfections yet stay with them (not imperfections such as abusiveness). To think about them all the time, and miss them the second they walk out the door. To desire life with them. Love is in the little acts- picking wildflowers for them, making a letter for them, drawing them a picture, rubbing their back without needing to be asked, respecting their wishes, picking up a pretty rock for them, etc. Love is not a perfect feeling you have 24/7. Love is the truthfulness of who you are even when you're angry with them. Love does not throw them away when they disagree.
Its like you always have that person on your mind and all you want do is love them and make them happy even if it means you have to abandon yourself. I’m only 11. I know because im in love.... no matter how many times they reject you, you still love them...
