Box squats blew my squat up 20kg, for me I learned how to "use my hips" and become more explosive out of the bottom, using them for 6 weeks before changing the main accessory movement

I’ve utilized regular squatting and box squatting and have progressed using both. Just have to know when to implement it. I think a lot of the multi ply guys who don’t hit depth in competition have steered many away from even attempting to implement proper box squat utilization and have therefore missed out on the benefits and carryover.
Track and field has many different disciplines with different needs. I will say box squats help me sit back more and use the hips and posterior chain more than regular squats.
my only contention would be that there's probably little to no difference between box squatting at a certain height and pause squatting at the same point, other than to increase consistency in the exact point at which it's done, right?
