      Can a new compressor have a faulty valve?

  • @davidcayll

    Great video, this ac control valve is something nobody else covers. Everyone else just talks about the ac clutch. I got a harness pigtail from a junkyard car and used a 9v battery to test my ac control valve. In the junkyard the control valve would audibly click when releasing battery voltage. My ac control valve would not click at all. The control valve resistance was measured at 58 ohms where it should be between 2 to 7 ohms. Thanks a lot for this video.

    I’m looking into running a 12V compressor in parallel with this style of compressor to run while the vehicle is off. Would any backflow from that processor cause an issue with this style of compressor? Any thoughts on this setup? I’d like to install check valves at each discharge line but I can’t find anything other than NPT hydraulic style check valves.

    I am working a 2020 Rav4 gas engine. I replaced the A/C condenser because it had a hole damaged from rock chip. After vacuuming 45 mins and recharge 1234yf freon with 2 oz of pag oil added, 1/2 can of freon. The low side read 70 psi and high side 80 psi. I just don’t know if the a/c could be the problem.

None of them allow air to come out of the ballon and I can see the little valve inside but it doesn’t move a lot.

    Thanks for all your videos. I have a problem with the AC on a 2005 BMW E87 116i. It didn’t work, so I got it serviced and refilled. It blew out the AC gas and the garage told me I have leak in the high pressure line. I changed it, not a funny job to do. Car was then serviced at BMW and I told them to do the AC as well. It worked for a few KM, then blew the AC gas again. BMW checked the system, and told me I need a new compressor. Cost 2000 € + for the complete job. Not going to happen. As the high pressure line was changed, the high pressure switch is new. So I bought a AC compressor solenoid switch, which you know, BMW does not sell or change. My question is this, is it possible to change the compressor switch while the compressor is in the car? Or do I need to take it out to do this job?

    • @armandobroncas9147
      @armandobroncas9147 2 роки тому

      Compressor can still be on the car, as long as you can reach and able to work on it. Although freon must be discharged first

    So disconnecting the wires should stop the gas flow from closing up, right? and allow gas to flow to allow compression right? My standing pressure is 120 psi. Compressor clutch works and compressor seems to try to do its job. But low side drops by a few psi and vibrates very noticeably but sometimes not. . High side stays at 120 and vibrates sonetimes but not as much. Im thinking blockage rather than bad compressor. Perhaps control valve? What do you think?
