Can anyone tell me what size screw part number 832017 is? I purchased a back on eBay. It had a light leak. So I noticed the problem which I thought was an easy fix. I peeled back the leather by the latch and the screw that’s holding the shell disintegrated. Looks like it was over tightened at some point and it failed. Now I have no choice but to drill the remaining screw out the hole. No other way to thread another screw. I want to keep it as close to factory with the same size screw. So any help would be appreciated.

Man, I've been waiting for the fix on the Auxiliary Doors, when they open and don't close all the way in this channel for ever. Will we ever see that? Thank you and wish you the best =D

Thank you for the suggestion and for your interest in FOC. Hmmm... Oh yes, the issue of the hanging Auxiliary Doors or Blinds or Shutters or what other less flattering names you can conjure. It is one of the more finicky or tricky minor repairs that can be done on a Hasselblad film body. Indeed could be a entertaining feature of a Fix Old Cameras video. The innocuous looking coiled return spring and damper hub, that sets in wait for the unsuspecting. If you acquire a new return spring it is packaged coiled with tension waiting to release itself like a watch spring gone rouge. If you rewind an old return spring it will be a tedious procedure at best. Occasionally cleaning the return spring and hub assembly will free it up temporarily. There is also a strong possibility that the Auxiliary Blinds have slipped on their axle. In lieu of replacement they sometimes can be "tweeked" back to the proper position.

@@FixOldCameras Ok, So I decided to grow pair, took a deep breathe and opened up the Expensive box. The name of the camera suits it great cause that winding spring was a HASSEL to put back... After fingers feelings like they were put in a charcoal grill, I lightly touched it lubricant and we got a perfectly returning door and shutters. Thank You for your Pointers !

If I wanted a screw driver to do this, what should I ask for (size/brand)?

Hi, I have a question about the interlock mechanism related to this video. On my Hasselblad ELX, the interlock pin that interacts with this mechanism will stop halfway if the shutter button is held down. If this happens, I can simply press the interlock pin back into the body and the shutter cycle completes. if the shutter is tapped, however, the shutter cycle completes as normal.
Would you have an idea as to whether this could be an internal gearing issue? Any help appreciated.
    Thank you!

Probably more likely a sticking lever or broken spring.

Hey, thank you for these videos.
I have a question referring to the magazine/film holder of my Hasselblad 500 c/m. It is kind of the same problem someone has already mentioned in a comment below.
I am not able to turn the film holder key completely in its usual position. In addition, the part where you slide the film on and where it is tightened/hold by the film clamp, when loading the film, doesn't work/ it is not moving at all when turning the film holder key.
Do you know this problem, is it (easy) repairable, by myself?
    Thank you!

Possibly a broken return gear spring or a the spring is detached. The spring is located under the return gear. Check by pushing up the wind gear (lower wind gear visible and accessible through the slot on the face plate of the back). When the gear is released it will snap back if working properly. This video might help with the disassembly needed. ua-cam.com/video/FJmLB7C_c-0/v-deo.html

Hello, sorry to bring other camera problemes to this video, but somethings is wrong with one of my backs , and I think you’re the one person that can help. The thing is that when I put the film holder inside the back when i try to lock it, the film holder goes in perfectly but the knob won’t go all the way to the position it should... thanks for every video, it’s been really helpful...

An odd problem. Does turning the film holder latch raise the pressure plate smoothly. Also check the movement of the latch hooks. Look for abnormalities within the back itself.

Perfect! Thank you for all your videos! I love them!
Would it be possible to show a similar video for Rolleiflex SL66 backs? I have such a problem with one of mine.
