Omg, your finally reacting to the infamous EPISODE 9
Man's posted a comment in the past. That's some warp fu*kery right there

"The terrorist has sympathizers."
It's also a reference to how bohemia the developers of Arma where taking pictures of the country side and where arrested for being spies
that is a good joke
That is actually hilarious.
Holy shit
Fucking dark joke I live it
whats funny from the news casts at the start the island has a population of 44k and 45k russian soldiers
A bit overkill for the Russians but given its Womble's group and their shenanigans, I'd say its justified
To be fair it said the relocation of 45k men not necessarily all to altas most are probably just on the area around altas in case of a large scale pushback
You can say over 50% of those on the island are in favor of there being Russian forces and technically not be lying.
@@matthewdowns9822 how the hell they would feed them
@@snaiper195 the same way they would if they were all on Altas. hell, it would be easier cause they would be closer to Russia.
The fact that this literally feels like what could be an actual insurgency story about the leader maintaining their core values while the resistance crumbles into an even worse government over the years.
27:50 I like how you kinda missed the Bohemia joke. Bohemia Interactive is the company behind arma and I think it was 2 of their developers where actually imprisoned for like 2 years as "spys" while researching for the game
The Bohemia Devs were there to take pictures of the country side, and the architecture for the Arma 3 maps. They were arrested for like a few months, before being released on bail.
@@tomaszkietyka2325 In fact they were only imprisioned because this countryside they took pictures off contained quite a few military bases.
@@matheusbee3441 I wish it was that. It was for taking a video while on the road that led from an airport. In the corner of the video, there is part of the airport fence visible. This was their only evidence of their claim of espionage. Due to the fact that they didn't have enough evidence to put them on trial and due to the laws in the area, they were placed into a standard prison and told to wait for trial. This took many months and a threat from the Czech government to arrest multiple Greek tourists that took pictures of the Prague castle, as there is an old but still in use military installation below it. Only after this, the local government agreed to release the Czech developers. The worst part is, that this was mainly due to corruption rather than any security threat. One of the mayors in the towns that they took pictures of for inspiration demanded they pay him tens of thousands of euros. When they refused, he started plotting against them. Pulled some stings and managed to get them arrested on the charges of espionage. This whole ordeal took so long that one of the devs missed the birth of his son due to the imprisonment. One of the devs left the company soon after due to mental trauma and the other one is still in there but has quite severe PTSD about the whole event.
@@rocketjumper5419 Yeah. You're kinda spreading false information. There was no threat from the Czech governmnet to arrest random Greek tourists. Civilized countries don't do that and that's not how diplomacy works. Greece has a history of arresting tourists, because they're incredibly paranoid. They arrested British tourists for taking pictures of planes at the public airshow.
Also how do you know about any mental trauma of the said developers? Are you their friend? They seem pretty well adjusted. This event happened in 2012 and the developer left the company in 2020, so what you wrote sounds like complete bullshit. He was working on Arma games for 8 years after the arrest.
@cooks37 it was a well publicized event. You think he would have to be one of their personal friends to know their was trauma after months of imprisonment? Rolls eyes
I like how Paul just assumed that the tyrant leader would be Cyanide. Particularly because, from what I remember, Cy is not even present in that BS episode.

FUn fact: There is millions of people and news station fooled by ARMA given its realism. Literally a lot of people get fooled by clips of players shooting at each other and shared, without context, mistaken it for IRL engagements

By the time you've finished the Arma 3 and and Antistasi reactions, I'm pretty sure your average viewer will have enough advice to run a moderately effective resistance movement (against a decently incompetent, mostly pacifist government).

The Putin translator saying "MILF" was one of the funniest things I ever heard.

The funny thing about the MILF joke is that there actually is a real life insurgency in the Philippines with that acronym, the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, and they've had that acronym since before the more well-known meaning of MILF was popularized.
There's also the FAP that used to be in CHAD, the GUNT in Chad, and the FUNK in Cambodia.
That "WW2" plane is the Brazilian Super Tucano, or the A-29 in the US. The Air Force was considering adopting them as a partial replacement for the A-10 back in the late 00's specifically for counter-insurgency, since they would cost less and be just as effective in that situation. The original plan was to buy 100, but a competitor's lawsuit resulted in the program being cancelled after 20 of them were purchased, so the US decided to give them all to the Afghans.
Beechcraft, funnily enough, makes a very similarly designed trainer, the T-6 Texan II. Gotta love politics saying no to one piece of defense industry tech only to make that same piece of tech but with a new coat of paint.
@@oneofmanyparadoxfans5447 The T-6 Texan II was actually in the running along side the A-29 Super Tucano and a few other planes to replace the A-10 when the Air Force was thinking about retiring the A-10. The Army was against it and even floated the idea of buying some of the A-10s so they could keep it. It took an Act of Congress to force the Air Force to shut up about retiring the A-10 and start upgrading them. Now, the A-10s have a service life well into the 2040s.
The Air Force only built the A-10 to prevent the Army from having the most advanced helicopter ever built: The AH-56 Cheyenne. Developed in 1967, the AH-56 had a top speed of 244 mph. It was a compound helicopter, meaning it had features usually found on a fixed wing aircraft, like low mounted wings and a pusher propeller. It was to be deadlier than the Cobra and some even say the Apache, which was developed during the 1970s and finally introduced in 1986. Some features from the Cheyenne are just now find their way back on to the next generation of helicopters.
Technology thrown aside all because the Air Force felt threatened by a better helicopter than the attack aircraft they had back then. They made their bed with the A-10, now they are forced to lay in it.
@@Alpha0727 "The Soviets are our adversary. Our enemy is the Navy." -- General Curtis LeMay, USAF
@@Alpha0727
The AH-56 was cancelled because of that same advanced technology: like most programs consisting entirely of bleeding-edge tech, it never worked right (it only got the AMCS fight control system that actually _worked_ in 1972, for a start), and the project dragged on for so long that those same systems would have been obsolete. It would have required an expensive overhaul of the avionics that would be on par with just scrapping the project and starting over anyway. Plus lessons the Army had learned in Vietnam meant they wanted a twin-engined helicopter for the attack role, and the Cheyenne was already regarded as too big with only one. The Air Force keeps trying to get rid of the A-10 because upgrading it to modern standards is expensive and it would be torn to pieces if the US ever faces a near-peer enemy rather than one reliant on Soviet castoffs and first-generation SAMs, and it's no better at dropping JDAM than a fighter-bomber even now that it can actually do it.

@@pirig-gal Iunno, I think a design similar to the MX series is one of the runner ups IRL, at least aesthetics wise.
It does actually bear a striking resemblance to Textron's entry to the U.S. Army's NGSW(Next Generation Squad Weapon) program, chambered in 6.8 caseless. That’s literally his gamer tag.
Moogle and Soviet are close friends IRL.
The gun is "MX", a pen gun designed by a real life arms manufacturer made specially for the game.
“I hope this isn’t a prediction, Russia has been building up troops on the border with Ukraine” yep poor Ukraine lol
When have gun control measures ever really stopped people with the funds and willpower from arming themselves?
It tends to change the nature of the armaments they can acquire, and how much effort they have to put into it. Actually pretty effective at limiting the damage a small number of random idiots can do just by being random idiots. Doesn't do much to stop a proper organized insurgency from getting what they need though, no.
@@laurencefraser also won’t change the existing market in a country. Especially not from people who already are on the wrong side of the law.
As per request, the firearm at the 7:20-8:00 minute mark is called "MX" it is not a real gun, but designed by CMMG for the ArmA 3 game
It shoots a 6.5x39 caseless cartiage and is in the year of 2035 the standard issue NATO rifle
A carjack? for a Tank? That litterally no longer obey the law of science. I don't know, but i think an excosist or a techpriest is required here.
If the russians make a move it would probably be during pride-week considering the top tier of the US military nowadays. (No offense, but, really...)
I love the fact that Ohio was the first state to come to your mind, GO BUCKS! Also, I love the fact that you're trying to seriously analyze the video and everything, but it's Soviet, I can't take this seriously XD
hey man i just wanna let you know that i love your content and that you're a very cool guy, keep up the good work!
49:25 that is some interesting foreshadowing
Well that Ukraine comment aged like milk
1 hour reaction of a 20 minute long video? You know there's gonna be some mad irl lore talked about
I think you would enjoy black mesa, it has a lot of military tech and radio communications you could break down
9:01 "His shirt says 'moogle' which I'm assuming is a Google parody" It's his name XD
yes the best episode of the series for that 'badgers' thing.
@MHGR , my dude, I'm in Romania. Ukraine is right upstairs. We're NOT comfortable right now.
20:45 Kazakhs. Kazakhstan literally means country of Kazakhs.
7:48 That rifle is called the MX. It's chambered in some 6.5mm caseless ammo. The game devs actually hired CMMG (the people that made the MK47) to design it specifically for Arma 3. There's also no real life version of.
ok 45000 troops is 45 divisions. for 1 SMALL ISLAND.
that's an entire army
It's Russia. They don't do half measures :P.
A division is around 10k troops, isn't it? So the troops on the island would be about a Corps, maybe two. Depending on how it's structured.
an island with a population of ~44000
@@Annaireo depends, russian divisions actually tend to be smaller than US divisions, i think a us division is around 12-16k troops, where as a russian one is usually about 8-12k
@@Annaireo oops, yeah, idk why but i though a division was ~1000 troops, ~2 battalions. i was wrong. but apparently a battalion can have a 1000 troops on their own, so yeah, large margins
Watching this in the middle of 2024 some of this did not age well.
