@@tavinl They still have a license from Automation to use them so they put them in game anyway just in case. And there are some sounds that aren't from Automation but are just unused in general.
no actually, they just got the license for them from the same place automation got their samples, hence them being the same. if you listen to an automation car, you'll notice the sounds are exported in lower quality.
the first I6 diesel is one of many old T-series sounds, it's had about 5 different ones since 0.10. the second I6 diesel is actually used in game, on the 3.0 Diesel I6 in the ETK 800 and K. the flatplane V8 was in fact, previously used on the bolide.
All of these petrol engine sounds are in the mod called "RK's Highly customizable engines". It includes everything from i3 to V16 for every vanilla car and i love it! You can also modify the turbo and supercharger sounds.
Flat-6 sound: this sound can be used for making a Hirochi Flat-6 engine, which in turn could make for some Midsize Hirochi models (Midsize Sedan/Wagon, SUV and Pick-Up Truck) and even an SBR6. Straight-6 Diesel sound No.1: this sound was used in the TCX 10.6 Inline-6 Diesel engine of the Gavril T-Series prior to the 0.16 Update bringing the current sound. Now it's only used for mods like the CrashHard 8x8. Straight-6 Diesel sound No.2: this sound is used for the 3.0 Inline-6 Turbodiesel engine of the ETK 856td/Kc6d models (a long-time favorite engine of many of us, me included). Oddly enough, for a short time period, this sound was also used for the Gavril 232ci powering the 'Awful' variant of the Gavril Barstow, before the current Inline-6 sound. With the low idle heard here (it's got a higher idle in the modern ETKs), this sound can also be used for making an 80s ETK Inline-6 Diesel, like the one used in the W126 S-Class for replacing the Inline-5 Diesel. Flat-plane V8 sound: this sound was brought in the 0.16 sound overhaul update and it got replaced in the 0.18 Update by the current, kinda-E39-M5 Flat-plane V8 sound. This short-lived sound can be used for a modern Flat-plane Civetta V8, for the upcoming new Civetta model. V10 sound: this sound can be used for making a modern European V10 engine and a big American V10 truck engine (as FM showed us with the D-Series some time ago). V12 sound: sounds nothing like a V12 and it's not worth making a new engine around it. V16 sound: could be used for making a crazy V16 (and even W16) engine in BeamNG! 😎
This is awesome, can’t wait to see what they are gonna release next. The straight 6 diesel could sound better but the other ones are really nice. How about a flat 4 and a rotary next?

Very few games do that. Live for speed did it many years ago for example, and you could create some crazy engines like inline 7 cylinders or 9 cylinders, or V14's, V18's, etc. They all had unique real time generated sounds.

F6: Not used in game anymore I6 #1: Was used as one of the T-series sounds back in the day. I6 #2: Pretty sure isnt used ingame anymore V8: The V10 Bolide mod actually uses this engine sound for their V10. dont think any other cars used this sound though. V10: Still being used in a lot of V10 bastion mods. V12: A modified and louder version of the sound of this engine is being used in the ventiquattro bolide mod. The V12 sound without the exhaust sounds increadibly similar V16: This sound isnt being used anymore as far as I know let me know if I got anything wrong
For the flat-plane V8, that was on the Bolide for a couple months after that gigantic sound update they did. It got removed for some reason and replaced with the current one we have today. For the V10, I’m assuming they had this in the game files for the Scintilla.
Well the flat plained V8 sounds like a Porsche 911. The V12 sounds like a Lamborghini. And the V16 without exhaust sounds like a supercharged hellcat engine. I'm sure if I watched this a few more times I could match the rest with what they sound closest too.

You can export cars from automation with most of those engines - except for diesels. This is likely why they exist in Beam, for export compatibility.
but in the exported car files they do not use them, and in my opinion the ones in beam sound better than the ones from automation exports
@@tavinl They still have a license from Automation to use them so they put them in game anyway just in case. And there are some sounds that aren't from Automation but are just unused in general.
