- The Serbian Air Police recently held a spectacular firefighting demonstration in Belgrade, showcasing their impressive aerial firefighting capabilities. The event highlighted both the legacy and modern advancements in their fleet.
The demonstration began with a winch rescue demo by the Serbian Air Police H145 helicopter, showcasing precision and skill in life-saving operations. Following this, the iconic Bell 212 helicopter took to the skies, demonstrating its continued reliability and effectiveness in firefighting with the use of bambi buckets.
The excitement escalated with the appearance of the new Super Puma helicopter, which added advanced capabilities and greater capacity for firefighting operations. These helicopters are known for their versatility and strength in various missions.
However, the highlight of the event was the performance of two Kamov Ka-32 helicopters. The Ka-32s not only demonstrated the traditional bambi bucket firefighting technique but also introduced a new method using a powerful water cannon. This innovative approach allows for more precise and effective firefighting, especially in challenging conditions.
The Kamov Ka-32 is renowned for its coaxial rotor system, which consists of two counter-rotating rotors. This design provides excellent stability and maneuverability, making it ideal for precision operations like firefighting. Powered by two Klimov TV3-117 turboshaft engines, the Ka-32 offers robust performance and reliability. The helicopter's advanced avionics and superior lift capability make it a versatile asset in the Serbian Air Police's fleet, capable of handling a variety of complex firefighting scenarios. - Авто та транспорт
