100% agreed. I feel like both sorceries and miracles suffered in DS3. Melee was so much better in almost every case. Now, in Elden Ring, there are so many things that are good, that we have many options. It is really nice change of pace. Thank you for your comment.

It does. I have a build guide in the channel for an Intelligence/Faith Caster. I run the Golden Order Seal at 50 INT / 50 FTH. I could have gone down to 45/45, but I wanted the extra bit of damage on my melee weapons. If you are curious as to how it performs, do not hesitate to check it out. Thank you for your comment.
@@FrownyGaming Thanks, I'll gladly give it a look! The lack of int/faith weapons is really a hamper on such builds, but if infused weapon AR softcaps at 50 then it might not be so bad.
I think you should definitely do a video on what you would recommend as a first time playthrough build. Something efficient but effective that most people would enjoy that doesn't rely on spamming weapon arts and stuff like that.
I have to say, this is a hard one. A first playthrough build that is efficient and effective, that most people would enjoy and doesn’t revolve around spamming L2. I would say a sword and board, but I don’t know if most players would enjoy that. The best starter builds use a lot of weapon arts. Thank you for your comment.
@@FrownyGaming Sword and Board would be good since it's effective but also not easy peasy so you actually have to learn how to fight in this game. The great thing about this game is that Limgrave gives you access to great weapons like Golden Halberd or Bloodhound Fang. Since the Halberd requires 12 faith, I think it works well when you consider that 12 Faith should be the minimum for all but pure INT builds.
Funny you should mention the Golden Halberd. I did my first playthrough with it. Honestly, it's a great early game weapon, but a lot of things resist Holy Damage later on so it makes things complicated. I think that Bloodhound Fang is the perfect first playthrough weapon, but it requires a lot of L2.

frenzy seal also is often about the same as clawmark seal on quality builds, or is your only real option for dex builds. you might say quality builds are bad but theyre actually optimal scaling for a good chunk of the unique uninfusable weapons
The main issue with Quality is that, since Soft Caps are so high in this game, it takes considerable Stat investment for it to really shine. At RL150, we can build a 55/55 character that would give us good results but our survival Stats will lack. As a fan of Quality, it is a bit unfortunate that this is the case. As for the Frenzied Flame Seal, I really like it. The fact that it has no requirements really puts it ahead on most build that just run support spells (think 12 Faith support). In regards to Incantation Scaling, I think it always comes out pretty weak, but it has other uses. Thank you for your comment.
@@FrownyGaming i meant with many weapons that cant be infused like the dragon greatclaw or bloodhounds fang even at level 120 and 60 vigor normal endurance, quality will have more ar than either just dex or strength with the same amount of investment even when two handed. it depends on the weapon what the specific amounts for each are though, and obviously quality is just worse for infusable weapons unless you're RL200 or something

Been very fun and good in both pvp and pve. Good spell and melee dmg( jack in both). You can do good dmg eoth incantation types just swap the seal for the school you use. Lastly, max casting speed has been huge. Spells are not slow and very efficient because of it.
You have an interesting set-up here. Definitely worth checking out. I have a DEX/FTH build that I run with Blasphemous Blade with maximum HP recovery. If you want to focus on buffing a weapon, I would recommend a DEX/FTH hybrid. I would go 56 DEX / 50 FTH. That should give you considerable damage with a Keen weapon plus good buffing potential through Electrify Armament. It might mean that you will have to wear lighter armor, since there won't be too many points left for Endurance, but I guess that it fits the build. Thank you for your comment.

What about battlemages? Short story long I discovered that I was and INT/FAITH user since Demon Souls and since then, loved how I had a variety of spells and a really good catalyst and/or melee weapon that synergized with it’s split scaling. I love how can invade and duel at 100/125 and still optimal, it made me fell like an anime protagonist or Ainza from overlord sometimes. Ever since FromSoft completely f***ed it over in terms of not giving a seal that can cast both sorceries and incantations, and making cost too many points to make it optimal, and youtubers completely ruined the playstyle by only using the SONAF’s weapona art pre-nerf, I didn’t even touch this game since it came out. It took me 13 playthroughs of Demon souls to find out that I was an INT/FTH user, but again, since fromsoft f***ed it over, I have to start from scratch. Again. God this is worse than learning digital painting. Now I thing I wanted to ask. Sorry that was a bit long. I settled that the flexibility that was in DS3 is no longer in Elden Ring, and may not even be in the DLC. So I decided to go STR/FTH. I thought I would find what I was looking for in this playstyle, but everyone is either using clawmark seal and only using guranq incantations, or just using weapons that scale in both of these categories but not bothering to invest into mind. I’d say that if there not gonna invest into mind you might as well use a strength build. How do I find that balance of melee/spell-casting and still keep it at 125 in this game? Is not investing into mind ok for these builds? This whole experience has been confusing and frustrating and I’m sick and tired of...all of this? I don’t know if your the right person to ask, but I believe that you won’t say I can’t make my build this way either.
So... for the builds that you mentioned, I recommend that you take a look at a few build guides that I posted in the channel. Look up "The Syncretist" for INT/FTH, and then "The Last Sentinel" for STR/FTH. These are some examples of how I like to run these kinds of characters. They are RL150, geared towards PvE. Now, if you want to stick at RL125, things get a bit more complicated. It is hard to run a hybrid build at this level without making serious sacrifices. The easiest thing to sacrifice at this Rune Level is Mind. If we sacrifice Vigor or Endurance, we won't have the needed HP or Poise values to sustain damage. This is specially important for PvP. And the, of course, if we sacrifice our damage Stats, then the build feels underwhelming or inefficient. It is difficult to make a solid RL125 build in Elden Ring because it forces you to NOT have everything. Since I gravitate more towards PvE, I choose to stick to RL150 to reach a better balance with end-game bosses. I like to do a lot of Co-Op. That being said, you can definitely make the build you are looking for at RL125. You just need some patience and some knowledge to make everything click. Thank you for your comment.
