- Hey Omegas!!! Tag along for another install!!! Today we got the Unitronic Downpipe installed and wait until you hear how she sounds now!!! Leave it in the comments below if you think she is way too loud or is she just right?!?!?

Love the channel! I am not far from you in Pa. I have a 08 TT roadster. Mods are G.I.A.C. Tune stage 1 from AWE tuning, R8 ignition coils, Neospeed (red) cold air intake, and a Becker Cat-back exhaust. I just ordered the Unitronic DP from Modded Euros and was wondering if you have a stage 2 tune? I noticed after I purchased the DP that Unitronic recommends a stage 2 tune. If you didn't have a stage 2, did you have any engine code(s) come up? I am really eager to hear back from you as I have been following your tutorials and they are great. Any comment(s) would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
So I just got the Unitronic down pipe with the install kit. I have one question for you. Can I make this street legal? my guy from AWE tuning said that its not legal and that if you stage 2 tune it it will not fix the poor cat on the down pipe. If you have any advice I would love to hear it. Great car bro!

Sounds awesome Mega4k! I just got APR stage 1 done on my 08 mk2, looking at future upgrades now. Did you go with the Unitronic stage 2 ecu upgrade too? HPFP? I want more sound out of mine, might have to get a new catback exhaust first since it doesn't require a new ecu tune. Still on stock exhaust
Thanks fam!!! Yeah for sure will have to upgrade the exhaust for stage 2. I have more content coming with all the info on which tune I decided to roll with. Lets just say its nothing short of amazing!!! HPFP is definitely on the to get list. You can check out the muffler delete video I did and that doesn't require a flash either and I LOVED how it sounded like that as well.
@@Mega4KVlogz Thanks for the reply! I'm looking at getting the Magnaflow catback, there are installers that can do it locally (small town) and it doesn't seem to have too loud of a sound, I like the lower/deeper hum, less pops and crackle

Thanks fam I appreciate the support!!! To get the speed displayed you have you use the windshield wiper lever. There is a button on the bottom of that stalk and you can cycle through you're readouts using that. Hope this helps you out fam!!! Keep me posted!!!

Is this car worth getting after an a4 I currently own a 2009 a4 do they make the same power ?
Pretty much the same powertrain in the base TT as the a4. However the TT is much smaller and alot lighter. It also has a shorter yet wider wheelbase. It handles way better than the a4. If you are looking for more power than the a4 I would suggest looking for the TTRS. That would be a power upgrade to your a4. The TTS is also a good selection as well with a good tune you can get a reliable 400 out of those. Hope this answers your questions fam. 😎

Yeah I'll have to check it out. You can tune the a4 and have a decent reliable street car though. Also insurance doesn't have to know about the tune 😉😁. Plus your car payment would stay the same. Warranty might be void but 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️ they usually dont cover what you need to get fixed anyways hahaha. Just my opinion though.

You had a question where ate ya ordering parts from so hard to find online. Lil miscellaneous things. Tow hook caps and front bumper caps
I find alot of things on ebay or amazon. I do alot of research to make sure im getting quality parts. You can find just about anything on the net. Universal parts are an option but require slight modifications to make it all work but the possibilities are endless. Do you have a muffler on it? Any power gains?
No muffler, I deleted that in a prior video. Im currently still modding so the dyno is coming up in the near future. As far as if I feel more power, I would say definitely faster acceleration due to way less turbo lag. Hopefully this answers your questions and I hope you will join the fam!!! Ok no muffler ....you have a check engine light on now? I guessing you should have power gains too?
I got the CEL after installing the downpipe. I knew this would happen though so in an upcoming video I will show how i got rid of that issue as well.
@@Mega4KVlogz get some spark followers....or else you will need a tune...please try the spark plug followers ...only a couple of bucks off ebay...if it works im gonna do my down pipe...but keep the muffler
@@Mega4KVlogz i guess there called spark plug non foulers ....make sure you get the ones with the ceramic in them
Where did you get that diffuser??
I got it from a guy selling it on ebay. Fitment was not so hot because it was fiberglass. Got it to work though after though and it still on haha.

This is with the stock size however I have another video doing a muffler delete 1st. The pipe from the downpipe to about the rear axles is stock and then its custom from there out. Thanks for checkin out the vid i appreciate the support!!! 😎

You don't need a tune for the dp if you buy some spacers
This is true very true but without a tune your car isnt going to gain as much power. The ko3 isnt big enough for a 3" downpipe. The tune will up the boost makin it way more efficient. You are right though id you just want to get rid of the CEL.

I have a Becker cat back, neospeed intake and a GIAC stage 1 tune on my 08 TT. I ordered the Unitronic Dow pipe, do I need a stage 2 or can my car be ok with the bigger Dow pipe? I don’t want to buy a new turbo. Just wanted it louder than it is. Please reply. The do is on its way.
You can slap the unitronic downpipe on however since you aren't upping the boost it may actually make it a bit slower. Changing the downpipe will throw a CEL as well, i dont know if your stage 1 tune had that in the coding since stage 1 doesnt require the downpipe. If you dont want to retune it you could try an O2 spacer to clear the CEL. It will def get louder though with a new downpipe. You wont need a new turbo for stage 2 either. The stock ko3 is good enough for stage 2 tunes. Ko4 is needed for stage 3 or stage 3+ and you also need injectors and a list of other supporting mods to make it more reliable.
