When i saw him live with my dad RIP he played this on a wireless guitar, in the spotlight , me n him n my ol man for almost the entire solo ....freakn amazing!
How too make a rockin' song even better!!! This is such a GREAT version, just the right tempo! Every instrument just right,...I love it. Wish I was there!
Canadian west coast guy. So am I. Loved his music my whole life. Played in a bar in US just other side of Tsawassen. loved watching him. Been a loooooong time though!
@saucony3dgrid I've been to many many concerts and I can easily say that colin james is one of the best if not THE best I have ever seen live. his vocals are perfection, the band is outstanding, and his guitar skills are phenomenal!! I would never turn down a chance to see him perform, ever!!
The other guitarist is Chris Caddell - he is awesome too. A mate of mine from years back. He actually replaced me in one of my old bands...no grudge tho - he is fantastic :)
loving collin james since he started singing, nobody can do what Collin does, Love my Canadian Musicians that didnt sell out for money. we have to honor them for that, we have great Musicians who are also great people.
He needs a better bridge stock on the neck for bending like that. I've been a fan of Colins' since Guitar Player magazine named him the greatest unknown guitarist from Canada. But I tell you what doesn't UA-cam Rock for letting us watch great artists like Colin James for free.
Colin put on a great show in Prince George May 10th, his buddy beside him Chris is amazing as well, unfortunately they didn't do this song...what the fuck!
Something wrong with his guitar, he has to correct it multiple times. When the set is over he is quick to get rid of it. Brilliant guitarist.. just something wrong with that guitar.
the string came unhinged fro the single tree..its a part the string sits under after the neck bridge...it happens alot on guitars when ya slam and bend etc..lol..lock nuts are great!
I can never forgive this little puke for plagiarizing ZZ Top's La Grange, on some "stepping on a stone", or whatever it was called. Absolutely shameless and almost note for note. Indications are they've swept it under the rug, but I do hope it cost him, bigtime,
you are a little puke. to even for a moment to deflame this great artist and make a comparison you show your true colours. I would like to hear some of your music and see if millions of people agree with you. with the beatles the rolling stones from roy orbison elvis Presley, a big gigantic fuck you
+jimicata1 You're right. I'm sure ZZ Top never stole from anybody.... I'm sure John Lee Hooker might have had something to say about where "La Grange" comes from.
+jimicata1 It's called homage, and is a time honored blues tradition. It's only stealing when it's not obvious or it's not popular enough to be obvious. Like... John Lee Hooker's One Shot, One Bourbon, and One Beer...

one of my Fav Colin James songs!!!!

What a great show! Colin was totally amazing and the Q theater was a perfect venue!
Colin loses a sting and cuts this one short.
This blues tune makes me drool. This guy is surely underrated in Canadian Music. Just listen to this!
Murray Donovan the best
Colin's one with his guitar. I love his vocals too; he's just so damn good.
Actually a prairie boy. He opened for SRV 30 years ago and Stevie gave Colin his guitar to play when something went wrong with his.
When he tells the story he talks about how heavy of strings Stevie used. His hand was screaming at the end of the nnight
and Stevie Ray played at a party where the stones were and the rest is history!
a treasure ...as is the complete concert posted here. only 7000+ views, lot of people losin out by missing this one. thanks colin and the q

Love love this.
Major talent. Every time I've seen him, he has some misfunction with his guitar, the string tree, the bridge edge. Every time.
He's playing THAT hard?
Curious...
you got 25 years of catching up to do! You won't be disappointed
Yes please
This guy can play drunk and be awesome. True inspiration 🙌

💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🎶🎵
kinda misses the saxaphone!
good eh
we all know who he is in Canada...don't worry, but the crap that is in the media makes it seems anyone who can open their mouth is a celebrity...
Eat your heart out Stevie Ray Vaughan.
why would such a talented singer play demonic stuff? Ignorance or just follows the money.

jimicata1 you stupid fuck, you don't even know the name of the song
