Technically he’s only blind to our normal perspective, from Jeff’s own perspective people and guitars are still audible and tactile objects in space. He had developed super skills we sighted folks never did.
Such AWESOMENESS! They sure Look like they're Enjoying Themselves and their First Meeting! Thank You Much Music for recording THIS! Terry David Mulligan hasn't Aged!!! Boy is JEFF HEALEY with his Unique Guitar Styling and Virtuosity MISSED, too... Memories of his Gift are SURE Wonderful to view and appreciate!!!! ❤
I saw Jeff play 2 years after this at a local park ( festival ) in Mississauga & sat in disbelief as to what I was hearing… Thank you to both of you for helping to guide me to my music influences…
@shawnyboie -Jeff was not born blind but he might as well have been. He lost his sight at 8 months due to cancer. Unfortunately he lost his life to the same cancer in 2008. Thankful for the years and music he gave us.
I used to see Jeff down at the MistyMoon in Halifax. He was the only one I ever heard literally beat his guitar on the stage and make it sound good. RIP.
I’ve heard of that style but different from a east coaster Matt Anderson….. he’s sooooo great too breaking strings cause he’s that powerful sounding on that thang ❤️❤️ Too All this talent that will never age …….. Cause We Live Baby 🎸
I love when they both forget the lyrics to "What Do You Want Me To Do" and laugh at the same time. I look forward to that part every time I watch this.
Amazing, true blues masters captured together for a rare magic moment....absolutely stunning! More of this plz! Thank you so much for sharing, this is what UA-cam is all about!
Two great players, jamming! This type of interaction is great! Most times players treat jamming as a sport and try to up one another. Here both played to the tune, which is what it should always be!
+uberheino okay i am a canuk lived here four generations best a whitre guy can do worked on colins house but music is music no matter wht race boundries or colour thanks for your support
Canadian X 2. Thank you for posting this Carl, it warms my Canuckian heart to see these Canadian greats. I just wish Colin was better known and more respected. He is so much better then Brian Adams.
My brother saw a young Jeff knockin em out at the horse shoe before he was famous. We miss you Jeff. /// Colin is still awesome and a super nice guy...He has Jeffs drummer on board for live shows ./// T. D. has a radio show played Edmonton on CKUA , and he does this wine tasting show too. He lives on a farm in BC.
Managed to see Colin and Jeff play in Calgary long ago and then caught Colin in Toronto and later Manhattan (had a chance to chat with him; approachable and decent). As has been noted by others, would have been nice were Colin and Jeff to have made an album or two.
I really like the second song;overall feel and Colin James' harmonizing. Thank you very much for sharing this priceless vid! Mmmm...where's Terry David Mulligan these days?
+lesterclayool1--I've met Colin James on a number of occasions, and would call him anything BUT difficult to get along with. For me as a fan, talking blues with a master bluesman was a thrill, and he hung out with a fan, something many artists don't do. As for "hardly having a career these days", he doesn't play mainstream pap or garbage, which seems to be what sells nowadays. He loves music from a bygone era (or two), and doesn't follow trends.
+Jett Crash All Music dot calm my great source for music trivia said about Colin James . . . . " .. All of James's albums are well-recorded affairs. The only problem is, he doesn't tour the U.S. very much, and spends most of his time in Canada. In 1998, he toured with Steve Winwood, Little Feat and Keith Richards; Colin James & the Little Big Band II followed a year later." Imaging that. Spends his time in Canada. Eh?
+Gra Gor--that would be because most Americans have their heads so far up their butt when it comes to music, that they fail to recognize artists who aren't American or British... Many Canadian artists have carved out a decent career for themselves based on album sales and touring in Canada. I don't know that Colin has any regrets...
I Want to meet,Colin James that would be Epic. Was Fortunate enough,To see Jeff Healey in Concert before we Lost him. Legends and Canadian Artists 🍁❤. Great Share. Happy Thanksgiving to,Everyone on here.
Colin watched me busking one day in edmonton Alberta with a borrowed guitar ..i was barely twenty, and he wasn't much older ,he was so kind and did his best not to flinch thru my pitchy performance.. lol omg i was bad . hes so cool and radiates musicality. Someone in his band had to tell me who he was, this was before he hit big
After the jam Jeff says to Colin - "I thought you'd be taller."

PT is probably the best guitar teacher you will ever find. He does lesson breakdowns if required, but plays mostly straight through with no BS.
Holy golly gee wowzer yoiks!
truly Canadian
Just found it, thanks so much!
🔥🎸🔥🎸👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Derek Trucks is quite amazing!! Love the dudes who need no pick! Reminds me of Sultans of Swing!! Any thoughts??
Very good
Ya, should be called Much Reality now.

Stevie Ray Vaughn ...is not sweating 😅 😉✌
I’m guessing that is a Kramer Ferrington guitar, the same brand Eddie Van Halen used on the song “Dreams.”

Whatever happened to the Mulligan character.
