I think it's always great that you mention that "if you're doing this for yourself you don't need this many plants", It may help the viewer if you were to plant sparsely, and then show where you would consider the minimum planting density, before continuing to planting densely as usual.
A year ago from today I had about 15 planted tanks, nano - 40 gallons. Some super simple breeding tanks, and some super high tech tanks. I use to build them with my girlfriend all the time. We ended a few months back, and I took it hard. I got rid of everything, and I changed my life style focusing on my work. The tanks reminding me of old times, and I got rid of every tank I had. I use to binge watch Green Aqua. A few days ago a video was recommended to me, and man. I’m glad to be back in the hobby 💖. I’m gonna keep it simple and just get 1 super high quality high tech tank. Thank you guys for everything 💕

Bravo Tommy, great video from start to finish, loads of information . You are becoming a natural in front of the camera. Love the Brigittae, such a colourful little fish. Very impressed. Thank you all.

These are the little details that can make or break an aquascape.... Great video. Always wondered why you guys rarely used chili rasboras in any of your aquascapes but it was great to see them finally being used. They compliment the simple layout of the aquascape very well.
I was crushed when I melted my first try at UG. I feel a tiny bit better hearing you say it’s difficult. 😉 Maybe it’s time to try again. I’d love updates on the growth and care of this tank. Good job as always!

I live in the US but am Hungarian by descent, I would love to see some videos produced in hungarian, just so i can brush up on my vocabulary! p.s. great content!
I just discovered your channel and I absolutely love your videos! I have been trying to find the best information on how to build a small (3 gallon or less) ecosystem aquarium that requires no Co2 and eventually no water changes... I was wondering, and would be extremely grateful, if you could possibly make some videos demonstrating how to build and maintain such a tank? I've been finding it difficult to locate good sources of information on the best plant species to use, what types of and how many aquatic inhabitants should be added, and what initial and then continued maintenance is required to create a balanced ecosystem aquarium. I think that this could be a fun project that many people would be interested in. Either way, thank you for being awesome!!!
Yea, it just looks so nice against rocks like okko stones and is a great natural looking contrast against plants planted in fluval stratum, aquasoil, or any black aquarium soil lol
Pro tip for beginners wanting to add a path to the layout... Don't put corydoras inside. Those cute little things will mix all the sand with the substrate 😁. Unless they are pigmy corydoras. Great scape Tommy 👍! Cheers you all!
After 4 years in the hobby I still struggle with Panda corydoras when it comes to mixing. Even getting broken pieces of rock, they find a way to mix it all. But in 4 years I haven't scaped that much 🙄. 3 different scpes if I recall

Another fantastic vid Tommy I'm still waiting for few days off from work so I can order my plants, just a few £168 worth Other people have asked "how you stop sand mixing with soil over time" ?
