Good to see ya utilizing a canopy anchor for your climb line. Makes all the difference in comfort and safety 🤜💥. When trying to swing branches or leaning tops like that I find for me I can get more travel before the break if the cuts are less parallel to the ground and more perpendicular to the wood...I think it allows for the wood weight to start the travel more naturally, if that makes sense? Love ya brother
Definitely got a little agressive trying to get that big branch to swing. If I could do that part over again I would do a few things differently. I appreciate your insights. 👍
Nice work. I obviously wasn't on site to asses the tree. Looks to me like you could have just fell the tree. The tree is down safely and that's all that matters
Thanks! It had a heavy lean towards the house. Its hard to tell how much lean it actually had from the video but, my tie in was in the tree behind me which was pretty straight and by the time I climbed into the top I was about 20ft away from my tie in. Also, the tree was about 90ft tall or better because I only had 20ft left of my life line on the ground and its about 115ft... I did this for my cousin and he's a logger and wasnt comfortable trying to swing that tree. It was bent like a fishing pole. He was going to rent a lift but threw me the work instead. Thanks for watching.
@@megadosevitaminc8774 thanks man, I have a huge red oak removal scheduled soon. That will be my next video. Hopefully wont take as long to edit and publish. Yes, GoPro 3. I put the waterproof back on and didnt realize the sound would be so muffled. I have a windowed back that I should of used. Next time.
